Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reveals a practice significantly challenged by appointment access and reception experience, with persistent issues dominating patient accounts. Lengthy phone waiting times, frequently exceeding an hour, combined with limited booking windows and frequent call disconnections, create substantial barriers to accessing care. Reception staff conduct has emerged as a key concern, with patients reporting discourteous interactions, dismissive attitudes, and poor communication. Many describe feeling unable to reach the practice by phone, with some resorting to in-person visits as the only viable alternative. Prescription management and administrative responsiveness have also been cited as problematic areas.

In contrast, several patients have praised the clinical care provided by individual doctors, highlighting exceptional professionalism, attentiveness, and compassionate approaches to patient support. These positive experiences suggest that once patients access clinical consultations, the quality of medical care can be notably good. The disparity between access difficulties and clinical quality indicates the practice's primary challenges lie in operational and administrative systems rather than medical expertise.

The practice appears to operate under significant resource constraints, with limited appointment availability and restricted booking times creating frustration across the patient population. While some patients acknowledge these broader NHS pressures, the cumulative effect of access barriers and reception experience issues has led many to seek alternative providers or express serious concerns about the sustainability of their care at this practice.

Frustrating prescription delays leave patient without medication

Extremely unsatisfactory performance from the prescription department. The general practitioner has failed to authorize an alternative medication for more than a week, even after the pharmacist has contacted the prescription team twice regarding the urgent need for alternative medicines.

Terrible customer service at medical center

Wasted nearly an hour waiting in the first position of the queue to get my test results, and despite calling at 3:15 PM, I was met with a continuous recorded message promising an imminent response. By 4:05 PM, I was completely frustrated and abandoned my attempt to reach anyone.

Worst customer service ever terrible scheduling nightmare

I've been struggling to schedule an appointment for nearly a quarter of a year. After waiting on hold for almost 90 minutes, I finally reached someone at 8am, only to be dismissed and told to call back the next morning at the same time. The receptionists, particularly this Suha individual, seem to wield an excessive amount of authority. This situation has become intolerable, and I'm seriously considering reporting them to CQC for their unprofessional conduct!

Efficient and caring medical team saves the day

Every interaction I've had with this medical practice has been excellent. This morning, I rang up at 8am to consult with the physician. Although I was positioned 16th in the waiting line, I was able to speak with the front desk staff promptly within 10 minutes. Approximately 50 minutes later, the doctor returned my call. He was thorough and attentive, and I now have a blood test scheduled at the clinic for tomorrow. Exceptional service. My sincere appreciation.

Frustrating wait leads to disappointing medical service

I've been stuck on hold for more than thirty minutes waiting for my test results, only to be informed they're not ready. This medical practice is deteriorating rapidly, and their service is absolutely unacceptable, especially during a time when patients need support the most. There's a complete disregard for patient care, and I'm definitely pursuing this matter further.

Horrible healthcare and terrible patient treatment

I've never encountered a more disappointing medical practice in my life. The staff display zero compassion or professionalism, show absolutely no concern for patient needs, the reception team is shockingly discourteous, and my entire interaction with this clinic has been nothing short of abysmal.

Frustrating vaccination experience with limited parental choice

I just took my child to get vaccinated, and I was adamant about not wanting four shots! As a parent, I believe I should have the option to choose, just like I did with my first child. However, the nursing staff insisted I must either accept all four injections or seek private care for the remaining ones. I find this approach utterly appalling. Parents should have the right to make decisions about their child's medical treatment. It's overwhelming to subject such a young, vulnerable infant to so much medication and potential discomfort. The healthcare system's approach is completely unacceptable, showing a total lack of empathy and disrespect for parental autonomy. This is truly shameful and demonstrates a heartless disregard for parents' rights!

Terrible medical practice with zero patient care

These general practitioners are absolutely the worst I've encountered. They dismissed my shoulder problem, advising me to simply rest without an in-person examination, which led me to seek emergency care where I discovered I required surgical intervention. This isn't an isolated incident - multiple medical concerns have been handled similarly. Even the NHS 111 service expressed shock at their reluctance to provide proper care. The receptionist's behavior was equally unprofessional, abruptly terminating our call with a curt "I'm hanging up now" and no further explanation. The medical staff here are consistently discourteous. Dr. Kodua constantly talks over patients, showing no genuine interest in listening, while Dr. Britt seems fundamentally unsuited to a profession supposedly centered on helping people.

Worst medical experience ever terrible staff

It appears all the glowing 5-star reviews are suspiciously written by current or former employees. In 2024, scheduling an appointment remains an absolute nightmare... phone lines constantly disconnect... I had to redial repeatedly... After an exhausting hour, I was merely told to anticipate a callback 7 hours later!?!?!? No wonder Whipps Cross is perpetually overcrowded. (From my 2021 review) - The entire experience of attempting to secure an appointment or even a straightforward prescription refill for my critical pain management was utterly abysmal. Their rigid "first come, first served" approach prevented me from obtaining medical attention for 4 consecutive weeks. The receptionists represent the most uncompassionate staff I have ever had the misfortune of encountering.

Worst medical practice ever terrible service

The front desk personnel are abysmal - consistently discourteous, often inept, and I've even observed overt discriminatory behavior. Scheduling appointments is a nightmare, and even when you're instructed to follow up, you're forced to endure the ordeal of calling at 8am and spending thirty minutes in a seemingly endless line. I've been shuffled between medical professionals for eight months over a straightforward issue due to their utterly incompetent practice administration. It's a complete and total failure on every level.

Bire saves the day with amazing service

I felt incredibly fortunate to encounter Bire at the front desk, who demonstrated exceptional customer service with her friendly and courteous demeanor. Her adept computer skills allowed her to seamlessly rearrange my two appointments with remarkable efficiency. This medical facility would be wise to retain such capable employees, rather than relying on older staff members who seem to be merely filling space and performing outdated administrative tasks.

Frustrated with rude and unhelpful medical receptionists

The front desk staff urgently need to improve their communication approach. They must recognize that individuals reaching out are already dealing with medical worries. It's crucial for these receptionists to understand the importance of maintaining a compassionate and courteous demeanor, given that they represent the initial interaction point for patients.

Terrible medical service that wasted my entire day

Completely futile attempting to reach the medical practice. They botched my hospital scheduling and when I rang, the front desk staff claimed they couldn't retrieve my details to confirm the appointment's status. Their two-tier waiting system is absolutely absurd. It's frustrating enough to be 30th in the initial queue, only to then be shunted into a second waiting line. How ridiculous! Why on earth must patients call at the crack of dawn just to consult a physician! If there was an option lower than zero rating, I'd absolutely select it!

My elderly mother was experiencing vertigo - she consulted the nurse who advised her to see a physician - but when she approached the front desk, the receptionist instructed her to phone and schedule her own appointment?! Heartless staff failed me during my darkest moment

The staff at the reception and customer service desks display a shocking lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic human decency. My interaction with 'Joan' was particularly disturbing, as she demonstrated complete indifference to my mental health crisis. When I shared my suicidal thoughts, her sole response was to dismissively suggest I call back the next day, showing zero concern for my immediate well-being. I am utterly stunned that an individual of such callousness and incompetence is employed in a role supposedly dedicated to supporting and caring for vulnerable people. The experience has left me deeply distressed, appalled, and profoundly disappointed.
