Feedback reveals a practice significantly challenged by appointment access and reception experience, with persistent issues dominating patient accounts. Lengthy phone waiting times, frequently exceeding an hour, combined with limited booking windows and frequent call disconnections, create substantial barriers to accessing care. Reception staff conduct has emerged as a key concern, with patients reporting discourteous interactions, dismissive attitudes, and poor communication. Many describe feeling unable to reach the practice by phone, with some resorting to in-person visits as the only viable alternative. Prescription management and administrative responsiveness have also been cited as problematic areas.
In contrast, several patients have praised the clinical care provided by individual doctors, highlighting exceptional professionalism, attentiveness, and compassionate approaches to patient support. These positive experiences suggest that once patients access clinical consultations, the quality of medical care can be notably good. The disparity between access difficulties and clinical quality indicates the practice's primary challenges lie in operational and administrative systems rather than medical expertise.
The practice appears to operate under significant resource constraints, with limited appointment availability and restricted booking times creating frustration across the patient population. While some patients acknowledge these broader NHS pressures, the cumulative effect of access barriers and reception experience issues has led many to seek alternative providers or express serious concerns about the sustainability of their care at this practice.

Great!
Great local healthcare with friendly staff
A solid medical clinic. The healthcare professionals are excellent. Securing prompt consultations is straightforward. There might be a slight wait when scheduling via telephone, but it's manageable. The front desk team has consistently been friendly towards my relatives.

Bad!
Terrible service at worst medical practice ever
Attempted to secure a pressing medical consultation, but met with disappointment yet again. Their early closure at 1pm seems to be the excuse this time. Without a doubt, these are the most incompetent medical professionals serving the Highams Park and Chingford areas.

Compassionate care from an exceptional medical professional
I am deeply grateful for the consistent support and assistance I've received. Dr. Shaikh, in particular, stands out as an exceptional physician who truly embodies compassion and understanding of human needs. My sincere appreciation goes out to the entire team 🙏

Bad!
Frustrating smear test appointment with unhelpful staff
I scheduled my cervical screening appointment after getting a reminder text. Upon arrival, the nurse mistakenly believed I was there for a flu vaccination. When I clarified I was there for a smear test, she claimed she had no availability due to being fully booked with flu jab appointments. Because of my work constraints, I can only book during school breaks. I consulted the practice manager, who was unable to provide me with an appointment that day or even within the same week. When I attempted to book in advance, she informed me that the staff rota was not yet prepared, so she could not offer me any scheduling options. Completely unacceptable service once more, and I will now be seeking a new general practice due to this ongoing lack of patient care and responsiveness.

Compassionate doctor who truly listens and cares
Dr. J Kennedy comes with my strongest endorsement. Their approach made me feel completely supported throughout my experience.

Compassionate care beyond expectations
Dr Kennedy demonstrates exceptional care, surpassing typical NHS expectations. Despite working within the public healthcare system, she provides personalized attention that goes well beyond mere procedural requirements :-)

Poor!
Terrible service and impossible to get an appointment
This medical practice was once a top-notch facility with excellent physicians. However, their recent patient overload has made scheduling an appointment virtually unattainable. The endless waiting times just to reach a receptionist are completely ridiculous. It's no surprise that many patients would rather endure their health issues than go through the nightmare of trying to contact the clinic. The practice has essentially sacrificed its stellar reputation for financial gain. I spent ninety minutes on hold, only to be informed that absolutely no appointments were available. The decline of this once-respected surgery is truly shocking and disheartening.

Excellent!
Fantastic doctors and convenient appointments every time
Outstanding medical care, with convenient same-day scheduling. Dr. Borowski and Dr. Bashire were my primary physicians, and they are both exceptional professionals. Although I've relocated, I wholeheartedly endorse this medical practice to anyone seeking top-quality healthcare.

Bad!
Terrible medical practice with rude and unhelpful staff
Absolute worst medical facility in London, possibly globally! The reception staff are incredibly discourteous and unhelpful, constantly attempting to discourage patients, and booking an appointment is practically impossible! Everything becomes a massive hassle, and whenever you contact them, they always have an excuse why they cannot assist you! My repeating prescription, which was effortlessly managed at Leytonstone GP with monthly text notifications for pharmacy collection, here requires a monthly in-person visit, queuing, and manually completing a paper request! As if my doctor didn't originally intend for this to be a straightforward monthly process! These people are stuck in the 1950s (on another continent)! Precisely the same issues highlighted in other reviews; one week I was instructed to call back the following Monday between 8-11 to schedule an appointment, and after waiting 45 minutes to get through at 9, I was told to ring back the next day at 8, and so on... NHS, please shut down this terrible practice!

Bad!
Terrible service from unhelpful nhs receptionist
The receptionist was incredibly unhelpful, leaving me waiting 45 minutes on the phone before abruptly interrupting to ask about my appointment reason. When I began explaining my severe cold and hayfever symptoms, she cut me off, dismissively stating they don't treat hayfever and I should consult a chemist. I tried to explain that as a pregnant woman, and a pharmacist myself, I knew I needed a proper medical consultation and prescription. However, she remained obstinate, refusing to book an appointment and redirecting me to a pharmacist, midwife, or 111 service. Her attitude was completely unacceptable. The next day, attempting to book an appointment in person, I encountered what seemed to be the same unhelpful receptionist who again insisted she couldn't help me. The entire experience was incredibly stressful, with receptionists acting like an impenetrable barrier between patients and doctors. Juggling full-time work while trying to access healthcare has become increasingly challenging within the NHS. We're essentially forced to endure suffering rather than waste hours on hold. Ultimately, I was compelled to seek a private GP consultation. I cannot recommend this practice, and it's frustrating that with such limited resources, we're left dealing with unprofessional and apathetic healthcare staff.
