Frustrating pharmacy experience with unnecessary delays

Visited an advanced nurse last night and was prescribed antibiotics. When asked about my preferred pharmacy, I mentioned Boots at the harbour. I went there, waited for thirty minutes, then approached the counter only to be told they hadn't received the prescription. Another half hour passed before they called and discovered the script had been sent to Asda instead. Ended up squandering an entire hour while feeling incredibly unwell.

Terrible surgery with rude and unhelpful staff

I returned to this medical practice today, Monday, March 13th, and was once again confronted with subpar service. The receptionist displayed an aggressive and completely unhelpful demeanor. Without justification, she demanded that I remove my face mask. She exhibited absolutely no concern for my medical condition. It is evident that the practice's management has no commitment to delivering quality customer service, as demonstrated by the staff they continue to retain. During my first visit to this surgery in years, I had already heard numerous negative accounts from neighbors who frequently use the facility about their extremely poor service. My experience confirmed these reports, as the receptionist was barely capable of addressing even the most basic inquiries about a sample I needed to be tested. Her lack of customer service skills was glaringly apparent. This is certainly not a promising situation. I will be actively seeking to change my medical practice, as I cannot tolerate potential months of delays for fundamental medical requirements.

Heartless healthcare left me exhausted and frustrated

I have never experienced such appalling treatment in all my years. After obtaining a prescription and making my way to Boots, I was informed they didn't carry the required medication and I would need to return to the medical practice for a new prescription. I trudged back, only to be instructed by the doctor to go BACK to the pharmacy, determine available treatments, and then RETURN to the surgery to relay this information. (This was particularly challenging given my debilitating condition that made walking extremely painful.) When I suggested they simply make a phone call, the doctor actually claimed it would be 'too much trouble' for them. At 61 years old and struggling with a hip condition, I find their approach completely unacceptable. These healthcare professionals clearly demonstrate a shocking lack of compassion and have no business dealing with vulnerable, unwell patients.

I had an outstanding encounter with this medical practice recently. Last week, I was feeling extremely unwell and followed the recommended procedure by calling at 8 am. The front desk staff was incredibly supportive and quickly recognized the urgency of my situation. Dr Syed returned my call around 10am, carefully listened to my health concerns, and promptly scheduled an appointment for me at 11:30. He conducted a comprehensive examination and went above and beyond by arranging an immediate blood test during my visit. As a result of his attentive care and treatment, I am now significantly improved and feeling much better.

Speedy service and care from amazing medical team

Called at 8:20 - third in line, quickly connected with a friendly receptionist who was efficient, received a promised follow-up call later that morning at 11:30 am from the doctor, and secured an appointment for 2 pm. Saw the physician exactly as scheduled, and she was incredibly supportive. The entire experience was outstanding, with absolutely no room for criticism. Greatly appreciated the care and professionalism.

Securing a doctor's consultation seems impossible without endless waiting for a return call. Whatever commitments they make are practically certain to remain unfulfilled. This medical practice exemplifies precisely why emergency departments are overwhelmed - a total catastrophe of incompetence and endless justifications.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical staff

Absolutely terrible medical service. The reception staff were completely unhelpful. I called early in the morning regarding my son, and the receptionist promised the doctor would contact me. I waited the entire day with no callback. When I phoned again in the late afternoon, a different receptionist named Jacky Hart answered and was extremely discourteous. I detailed the entire morning's events, but she claimed there was no record of my initial appointment request. She was completely uncooperative and simply told me to call 111. The whole experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Completely useless service.

Frustrating healthcare experience with terrible booking system

Completely futile. The website displays 8:30 while the phone indicates 8:00 for opening hours. Their appointment process is a telephonic battle involving an exhaustive two-minute recorded message. Zero option to schedule appointments online. Post-Covid, securing a consultation has become almost insurmountable. One might as well camp out in the emergency department for faster service.
