I attended this practice specifically for support with substance-related concerns. I would recommend avoiding this service, as I had a negative experience with the clinician overseeing the relevant programme. I felt that an inaccurate assessment was made about my situation, which prompted me to request discharge from the service. When I declined to continue, I was informed that information about my case had been shared with another healthcare provider without my consent, which I believe has had an impact on my professional circumstances. My experience suggests that if your situation or preferences differ from the clinician's approach, the service may not be suitable. I am considering further steps to address my concerns about this matter.

Nurses excellent but reception screen feels unwelcoming

The staff members who work with children are excellent, however I found the reception area setup to be rather unusual and somewhat uninviting. The physical barrier between reception and the waiting area creates a less welcoming atmosphere upon arrival. Additionally, the waiting room appears to be designed primarily with adults in mind, lacking any facilities or entertainment options for younger patients. Given the space available, it would be beneficial to designate a dedicated children's area with appropriate activities to help keep them occupied during their wait for appointments.

Thorough approach helped find missing medical records

The clinician at Harewood has been exceptional. I have consulted with numerous practitioners at various local surgeries regarding a persistent digestive issue. This clinician was the first to make the effort to locate medical records from a previous surgery in a different region from several years ago and to go above and beyond. I was very impressed and would strongly recommend.

Staff helped me through a difficult appointment

The team at this practice has been wonderful. As someone with a significant fear of needles, I found the prospect of having blood work done quite anxiety-inducing. The clinical staff member was remarkably compassionate and took their time with me, and when I began to feel unwell during the procedure, other members of the team were quick to offer their support and reassurance.
