As a current patient at this healthcare facility, I previously attended another clinic but opted to stay with this one after relocating. We chose to make the switch due to its closer proximity, and I must say that this medical centre has been remarkably refreshing. The staff members and doctors are extremely courteous, always willing to assist without any hassle. Their level of support is commendable, and the pharmacy conveniently located right next door within the same parking area adds to the ease. While it's true that this medical centre can become quite busy—like many others lately—they manage it all with remarkable efficiency. My family and I are genuinely pleased we made the transition here; in hindsight, we wish we had done so sooner after our move.

I've never encountered any issues at this location; while there may be a wait for GP appointments, that's typical everywhere. It's convenient that the pharmacy is right next door as well. The reception team is always welcoming and friendly.

I've been a patient here for around three decades, not a regular visitor, but each time I come, I'm thoroughly impressed. The entire staff - from doctors and nurses to receptionists - are exceptional. I've been treated by wonderful physicians like Drs Tressider, Hanson, and Murphy, and today I saw a new doctor who performed a minor hand procedure with remarkable professionalism and genuine concern for my comfort, though I unfortunately didn't catch his name. I received both covid vaccinations here and was incredibly impressed by the operation's efficiency and the staff's professionalism. The car park has significantly improved, now with an on-site pharmacy, conveniently located near all central SLH facilities - truly a world-class medical centre we're fortunate to have. Update 22nd Jan 2024, after feeling unwell for a month, I struggled to book an appointment within two weeks using the app, so I resorted to calling, waiting in a phone queue that seemed endless. Despite being incredibly busy, they managed to schedule me an appointment within 1 hour 10 minutes, even though a nurse had to leave for an emergency home visit, causing me to be temporarily overlooked. I was eventually seen after 2 hours 20 minutes by another nurse named Kerri, who was on her lunch break. She was courteous, pleasant, and provided a thorough examination - I was genuinely satisfied with my care. The volume of challenging, elderly, and sick patients was overwhelming (having witnessed many come and go during my long wait), and I'm grateful we have Hassengate at the Centre of SLH. Suggestion: The phone system for booking an appointment with a specific doctor is frustratingly complex, requiring multiple request submissions before revealing availability. It would be more user-friendly to simply state if all doctors are unavailable. Kudos to Hassengate, Kerri, and the reception team - I hope they enjoyed the chocolates.

Worst medical experience ever with unhelpful receptionists

I'd rate this a zero if possible. The problems with this medical practice are endless. You never interact with actual physicians, as the receptionists completely control everything. Getting an appointment is practically impossible - I've tried calling the instant they open, waited in a 20+ person queue, and by the time I reach someone, all slots are gone! The current system, where receptionists act as gatekeepers, is fundamentally broken. They mishandle test results and refuse to escalate issues to doctors. Saying I'm frustrated is a massive understatement 😡😡

Another instance of being unable to secure a consultation, despite 111 stating my daughter required medical attention within two hours. She needed to see a general practitioner, and if it were truly urgent, I would have taken her to the emergency room. The appointment booking platform is completely dysfunctional. The process of attempting to schedule a doctor's visit is incredibly frustrating and emotionally draining.
