The front desk staff's demeanor is completely unacceptable, in stark contrast to the highly competent and supportive medical professionals. The receptionists consistently come across as abrupt and unfriendly, with only a rare exception. Attempting to secure a consultation with my general practitioner in the Heald Green clinic has been a nightmare since August. Following their guidance to phone at 8 am leads to a prolonged 30-minute hold, ultimately ending with the disappointing news that no slots are available. The entire process is maddeningly inefficient and drains my patience. I'm not seeking urgent medical attention, just a routine appointment for the upcoming week. The requirement to call exclusively at 8 a.m. is particularly challenging, given that's precisely when I begin my workday.

Terrible healthcare experience with uncaring medical staff

The customer service here is utterly appalling, with staff displaying an incredibly callous and unhelpful demeanor. They flatly refused to schedule an appointment, despite my mother's elevated blood pressure requiring urgent medical attention. When we explained her condition, their dismissive response was to redirect us to the Accident & Emergency department, where she would potentially face a grueling 12-hour wait. When we challenged this, their only response was a cold "we can't do anything" - completely abdicating any responsibility for her health and well-being.

Worst medical service ever after 25 years

I'm utterly bewildered by my recent experience. The process of scheduling an appointment was a lengthy ordeal, taking a staggering two weeks before securing a slot. When I finally got a telephone consultation, the interaction quickly deteriorated. As I began to describe my situation, the doctor abruptly dismissed me, suggesting I seek help elsewhere, despite my need for professional guidance. Her complete lack of interest was shocking, especially when I was seeking advice about a work-related concern. She was resolute in her refusal to engage, making it clear my issue was not her priority. The service was absolutely appalling. Having been registered with this practice for a quarter-century and having been a patient 8-10 times over the years, I am astounded by this unprofessional and callous treatment.

Terrible service and years of medical neglect

Absolutely terrible medical practice. Given that we seldom rely on general practitioner services (thankfully), I genuinely sympathize with those who must depend on them frequently. I've been registered with this particular GP for years, and the quality of care has consistently deteriorated. The doctors demonstrate zero compassion. I've been waiting two years for a medical referral that they seemingly misplaced or deliberately ignored. I strongly advise against choosing this surgery and urge potential patients to thoroughly investigate their options before committing.

Frustrating medical service fails patient once again

My spouse relies on a recurring prescription for her hypertension medication. As is customary, she attempted to schedule this via telephone (which typically requires multiple calls before the prescription is finally processed). On this occasion, the receptionist demanded she submit an email request instead. The front desk staff demonstrate absolutely no predictable approach. She remains without her essential medication. The medical practice is completely ineffective. They desperately need to improve their operational procedures.

Great service from caring medical professionals

I have absolutely no complaints about this medical practice. Initially, when I relocated to the area, I was somewhat apprehensive due to some unfavorable online feedback, but our experience being registered here has been excellent. Whenever I need an appointment, I ring the surgery right when they open, and yes, there's a waiting line, and it can be time-consuming, but we ultimately secure a same-day appointment. This approach seems standard across the United Kingdom, and in fact, our previous practice was even less efficient. We encountered an urgent situation and contacted the surgery, and they were incredibly helpful. The general practitioner I consulted was outstanding, and I received the prescription I required. I am deeply appreciative and thankful for all the NHS staff who are persevering through this challenging period. Continue your remarkable work during these difficult times!

Dr Morris is a significant concern during consultations. While other medical staff at the practice are empathetic and helpful, Dr Morris stands out negatively. Her demeanor appears brusque and dismissive, seeming quick to form and communicate harsh judgments. If she no longer finds satisfaction in her professional role, it would be beneficial for patients if she were to step aside and allow someone more compassionate to provide care.
