Patient feedback reveals a deeply polarised experience with this medical practice. Medical professionals, including doctors and nurses, consistently receive praise for compassion, attentiveness, and professional care. However, significant concerns dominate feedback regarding appointment access, with patients reporting difficulty securing consultations through both online booking systems and phone lines. Reception staff conduct is a recurring issue, with multiple accounts of unhelpful, dismissive, and discourteous interactions contrasting sharply with positive clinical experiences. Long waiting times, limited appointment availability, and unresponsive communication channels create substantial barriers to accessing care.
Administrative processes present particular challenges. Patients describe online booking systems that fill rapidly or malfunction, narrow telephone availability windows, and prescription management delays requiring repeated follow-up. Some patients report being redirected to pharmacies or 111 services rather than receiving GP appointments, raising concerns about appropriate triage and care continuity. A minority of reception staff interactions have been characterised as lacking basic courtesy and professional communication skills.
Despite these systemic difficulties, individual clinical encounters frequently demonstrate high-quality medical care. Patients value doctors and nurses who show genuine engagement, provide thorough assessments, and maintain supportive communication. The contrast between positive clinical care and problematic administrative access suggests that service improvements in booking systems, reception training, and communication responsiveness could significantly enhance the overall patient experience.

Excellent!
Exceptional physiotherapist who truly cares about patients
My spouse consulted with Zac, a physiotherapist, and the experience was exceptional. He demonstrated genuine compassion and expertise. Zac was thoroughly attentive and didn't dismiss her concerns. Instead, he provided personalized care and made her feel genuinely valued as an individual, not just another patient in a system.

Terrible surgery nearly cost me my life
A deplorable healthcare facility that consistently fails its patients. I was repeatedly denied medical attention, and when I finally secured an appointment, the doctor was utterly ineffective. He merely asked a few cursory questions and prescribed painkillers, despite my severe chest pain and breathing difficulties. Shockingly, he didn't even conduct a basic respiratory examination and avoided making eye contact throughout the consultation. After two weeks of intense suffering, I was again refused treatment and had to create a scene while gasping for air just to be seen. It turns out I had been living with a collapsed lung pressing against my heart - a condition that could have been detected much earlier if the staff showed any genuine concern for patient welfare. Now, I'm experiencing similar bureaucratic obstacles when attempting to book appointments for my children. Their practice of closing appointment bookings by 9am while receptionists appear bizarrely occupied throughout the day is incomprehensible. Who exactly are they serving when the waiting room is perpetually empty? I will acknowledge that a subsequent doctor was compassionate and maintained communication with me. However, the overall management of this surgery is so abysmal that it completely undermines the credibility of the competent medical professionals working there.

Horrible healthcare experience with endless waiting times
very poor customer service Endless waiting periods before they even answer a call, constantly redirecting me to book appointments online or promising to call back the next day!!! Why are their available time slots so limited, like only 8 or 8:30? This is absolutely the most terrible healthcare system in the entire United Kingdom. How can patients be expected to wait months or even years to see a doctor, especially during critical health situations? Who takes responsibility if my medical condition worsens? Moreover, many general practitioners across the UK seem completely incompetent, lacking proper skills and professional experience. I sincerely hope there will be significant improvements in the healthcare service across all sectors of the health system.

Terrible service that led to tragic consequences
Attempted to schedule a consultation, phoned early Monday morning at 8 AM... No staff member willing to answer After repeated attempts, I chose to postpone Subsequently, I was instructed to call at 8 AM once more. STILL ZERO AVAILABLE SLOTS The waiting area remains unclean with lingering COVID signage, and the front desk staff displayed extreme unprofessionalism - they are directly culpable for my father's passing, having callously declined to dispatch medical assistance when I, his daughter, requested help, unlike if my deceased mother had asked!!!

Terrible service and complete medical negligence
Completely worthless. They're unresponsive, indifferent, and incompetent beyond basic tasks. The surgical team disregarded the hospital's professional guidance and recommendations entirely.

Heartless healthcare left me hopeless and alone
I departed this medical practice last year after three decades due to their total absence of compassion and understanding. When I called seeking an appointment during a mental health emergency, disclosing my suicidal state, I was curtly informed no appointments were available and instructed to contact 111 or complete an online form the following day. Upon calling 111, I was redirected back to my GP… After submitting the form, I received a dismissive phone consultation and was essentially brushed aside. Subsequently, I emailed the surgery detailing my circumstances and requesting to see a resident GP, only to receive a perfunctory one-line response directing me to complete an online form in the morning! I've never been someone who frequently sought medical assistance and had no prior history of significant mental health challenges before last year, but I was made to feel utterly insignificant and profoundly stigmatized. Being rejected and disregarded during the most vulnerable and terrifying period of my life deeply wounded me and convinced me I was undeserving of help. I am thoroughly appalled by this practice and immensely relieved I transferred to another GP surgery, where I ultimately obtained the support necessary to navigate through that difficult year. I strongly advise anyone to steer clear of this surgery at all costs!

Worst medical experience ever terrible service
Absolutely horrific medical procedure experience. Yesterday's phone call met with an unhelpful, discourteous front desk staff who curtly stated 'no openings, try again tomorrow at 8am' and abruptly ended the call. This morning, I dialed precisely at 8am, waited in line as the 6th caller, and after a 15-minute wait, was informed yet again that 'nothing is available' - ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? So they're claiming only 5 total slots exist with absolutely zero additional options?????

Terrible service and unhelpful customer support nightmare
I would rate this zero stars if possible. After completing the online application, I received a text message essentially stating they couldn't be bothered to assist me and suggesting I seek advice directly from the pharmacy. It's no surprise that Glan Clwyd's A&E department is constantly overcrowded. Healthy Prestatyn deserves to be shut down immediately.

Terrible service from useless and unhelpful secretaries
These administrative staff are completely ineffective and useless! They seem more interested in idle conversation than actually helping anyone. Every single attempt to communicate is a dead end - phone calls in the morning go nowhere, online applications are non-functional, and when you show up in person, they just redirect you back to phone lines. It's an absolutely infuriating and unacceptable way of operating! I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere and cannot recommend this place to anyone!!

Worst medical care ever experienced with this surgery
Absolutely dreadful medical practice. I strongly advise against choosing this surgery. I've submitted a formal complaint to the governing board due to ongoing problems with this GP surgery, particularly concerning my mother's end-of-life care. From medication mismanagement to unprofessional staff behavior and a complete disregard for patient welfare, the issues are numerous and persistent. Even after my mother is no longer their patient, I continue to experience significant difficulties. I'm still waiting on medical records that were requested months ago. Their administrative staff consistently attempt to dismiss and deflect my concerns, with emails routinely left unanswered. A comprehensive complaint has been officially filed today on 26.02.2025

BadHealthy Prestatyn Lach GP Surgery
Terrible GP Surgery. I would not recommend this surgery. I have made an official complaint to the board as my mother is palliative and I have had issues with this GP surgery since day one. Medication issues, lack of duty of care, rude staff etc. the list is endless. I am still having issues with this surgery and she is no longer a patient! Awaiting medical records that have been requested several months ago. Emails go unanswered and admin staff do there best to 'fob you off' Full complaint has been logged today 26.02.2025

Quick relief for my aching lower back
I visited Healthy Prestatyn Iach on 27/1/25 and was provided with a physiotherapy consultation due to my lower back discomfort. I must emphasize how thoroughly impressed I was with the entire experience. A nurse initially contacted me to arrange a same-day appointment with a physiotherapist. I was then seen by Zach, who demonstrated exceptional professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail. This service truly represents a valuable resource for both the medical practice and the local community. Given the ongoing challenges and criticism faced by the NHS, I felt compelled to express my sincere gratitude, as such positive experiences are not acknowledged often enough.

Terrible healthcare service left me suffering alone
I recently battled a chest infection and persistent cough that disrupted my sleep for nearly a week. Hoping for relief, I contacted Prestatyn Iach to schedule an appointment. The receptionist noted my details and symptoms, assuring me a triage professional would call back. Disappointingly, no call came. By sheer coincidence, I discovered a voicemail suggesting I visit a local pharmacy for assistance. At Boots, the pharmacist's only advice was to inhale steam over a boiling pan with a towel draped over my head. I'm convinced a medical professional could have prescribed appropriate medication, likely antibiotics. As someone who rarely seeks medical help, I am completely frustrated by the substandard care and lack of support. Prestatyn Cack has truly let me down. Ian Parry.

Worst medical experience of my miserable life
I would prefer a fatal outcome over engaging with this absolute disaster. It seems like the staff might be random individuals plucked from sidewalks, rather than actual employees. EDIT: The situation remains unchanged. After locating a physician I could tolerate, they abruptly terminated my scheduled consultation and I'm encountering insurmountable difficulties rescheduling. Edit 2: I managed to identify a single competent doctor, but now I'm experiencing complete communication breakdown for two consecutive months, rendering the entire experience no more satisfactory.

Zack saved my back with expert care
Kudos to Zack, the physiotherapist. He accommodated me with an immediate booking, collaborated with me to create a personalized treatment approach, and after just one session of prescribed exercises, I experienced noticeable improvement.

Horrible customer service at local medical practice
What an absolute travesty of medical care. The front desk personnel reduced a vulnerable patient to tears and treated her with complete disrespect. The woman was attempting to register with the practice, but the receptionist—who acted like a stereotypical difficult gatekeeper—clearly had no compassion. The front desk staff obstinately denied her registration until all paperwork was completed. Even after the patient diligently filled out the missing sections, she was dismissively told to go home and sort things out before returning. This medical practice epitomizes everything wrong with healthcare system administration. The receptionist should be thoroughly ashamed of her callous and unprofessional conduct during this encounter!

Amazing healthcare heroes saving lives daily
Absolutely outstanding!!! These healthcare professionals are truly remarkable, and while there are undeniably significant challenges within our NHS, the fault does not lie with the doctors, nurses, or local medical staff. They are genuinely doing everything humanly possible given their limited resources, having dedicated their entire professional lives to helping complete strangers, investing years of study and accumulating substantial student debt to provide the best possible care. They aren't supernatural beings who can magically extend time or instantly create additional hospital capacity - they can only see patients within the constraints of their allocated resources from the government. Throughout my experiences, they have consistently shown me compassion and support, persistently following up with hospital departments to ensure I receive timely medical attention. What more could anyone reasonably expect from them? Continue your incredible work, because you are genuinely valued and appreciated!!
