Patient feedback reveals a deeply polarised experience with this medical practice. Medical professionals, including doctors and nurses, consistently receive praise for compassion, attentiveness, and professional care. However, significant concerns dominate feedback regarding appointment access, with patients reporting difficulty securing consultations through both online booking systems and phone lines. Reception staff conduct is a recurring issue, with multiple accounts of unhelpful, dismissive, and discourteous interactions contrasting sharply with positive clinical experiences. Long waiting times, limited appointment availability, and unresponsive communication channels create substantial barriers to accessing care.
Administrative processes present particular challenges. Patients describe online booking systems that fill rapidly or malfunction, narrow telephone availability windows, and prescription management delays requiring repeated follow-up. Some patients report being redirected to pharmacies or 111 services rather than receiving GP appointments, raising concerns about appropriate triage and care continuity. A minority of reception staff interactions have been characterised as lacking basic courtesy and professional communication skills.
Despite these systemic difficulties, individual clinical encounters frequently demonstrate high-quality medical care. Patients value doctors and nurses who show genuine engagement, provide thorough assessments, and maintain supportive communication. The contrast between positive clinical care and problematic administrative access suggests that service improvements in booking systems, reception training, and communication responsiveness could significantly enhance the overall patient experience.

Compassionate healthcare that truly makes a difference
Exceptional experience at Seabank today... My spouse attended his diabetes consultation, and I was also examined during the same visit... Having relocated from Manchester, the quality of care here is truly remarkable... We both feel incredibly fortunate to have such compassionate professionals supporting our health... our deepest gratitude

Frustrating healthcare system fails patients miserably
What's happened to our healthcare system? Attempting to schedule a consultation online proves futile when no available options match your specific medical concern. If you physically visit the clinic, they simply dismiss you, insisting you must call during the narrow window of 8am to 11am. When you do call, you're immediately stuck in an endless telephone waiting line. Haven't they considered that some individuals actually have jobs and can't navigate these restrictive communication channels? 🤷

Compassionate care despite challenges at local surgery
I find it disheartening to read the harsh critiques in numerous reviews. Our medical practice must carefully balance and address the requirements and hopes of countless individuals within the Prestatyn community. I hold the utmost admiration for the dedicated staff who provide exceptional care, particularly considering the constraints of their available resources.

Exceptional care when i needed it most
The personnel were incredibly welcoming and supportive. Despite calling quite late in the afternoon, when I anticipated being turned away due to their likely packed schedule, they generously offered me an appointment and efficiently addressed my needs on the spot. I'm truly grateful for their considerate approach and swift responsiveness, which stands in stark contrast to the experience I've had with my previous medical practice.

Compassionate care when we needed it most
I cannot express enough appreciation for the exceptional care provided by this medical practice. During our vacation, my daughter fell ill, and the moment I reached out, the compassionate receptionist was incredibly helpful. A doctor promptly contacted me for a phone consultation and swiftly arranged an in-person appointment at a nearby clinic. The entire team demonstrated remarkable professionalism and kindness, making a stressful situation so much easier to manage. We are truly thankful for their outstanding service and genuine concern.

Frustrating healthcare nightmare in prestatyn health system
Nobody seems to give a damn. Glan Clywd advised me to seek an urgent referral from my doctor, but the surgery informed me there's a 5-week delay to see a physician. When we relocated to Prestatyn 12 years back, we believed the healthcare system was exceptional, but how dramatically things have deteriorated... Update… Three years later, the situation has only worsened. You enter the surgery and are told appointments must be booked online. When you attempt to book online, the service is completely full and you're instructed to try again tomorrow. May heaven help you if you fall sick in Prestatyn…

Compassionate nurse saves the day with care
I want to share my appreciation for a recent interaction with nurse Mel McKenna, who was exceptionally compassionate and immediately grasped the complexity of my health concerns. She was incredibly empathetic towards my joint issues, efficiently managed my medication, and provided valuable guidance. Her genuine desire to help and her warm, professional approach stood in stark contrast to my previous disheartening experiences with healthcare professionals that had eroded my trust in medical settings. The NHS would undoubtedly benefit from having more dedicated and caring professionals like Mel McKenna, and fewer staff members who seem indifferent to patient needs.

Terrible experience with unhelpful and arrogant staff
Terrible customer experience, completely unresponsive to any potential issues. The employee named John comes across as an arrogant, unprofessional individual with a serious attitude problem. Absolutely avoid this place if you're hoping for quality care or to be taken seriously.

Unhelpful staff made my health concerns worse
I called to schedule a consultation because, at 19, I've discovered unfamiliar lumps on my body that are causing me significant anxiety. The receptionist who answered was shockingly unhelpful and dismissive. While I appreciate that they might be experiencing high patient volume, her abrasive attitude and complete lack of guidance about addressing my health concerns was completely unacceptable. She offered no alternative suggestions or compassionate support when I was clearly distressed about these unexpected physical changes. Her unprofessional and callous response was absolutely appalling. I will absolutely be seeking medical care elsewhere and transferring my records to a practice that demonstrates basic human empathy and customer service.

Disappointing decline of local medical practice
I've been a patient at this practice for decades, and I've never seen it in such a dire state. The phone lines are constantly backed up, and they're pushing everyone to use online services. This is particularly problematic for our community's senior population, many of whom lack family support to navigate digital platforms. While the pandemic certainly exacerbated issues, the practice was struggling even before COVID. They shouldn't consider expanding until they've improved their basic infrastructure and patient care.

Unhelpful reception staff ruin patient experience
I completely comprehend that the NHS and medical facilities are under immense pressure (I'm an NHS employee myself) However, the reception staff, not everyone but certain individuals, are incredibly unprofessional. I've repeatedly encountered the same staff member who desperately needs training in patient communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, after submitting an e-consultation form, my pain escalated that evening. When I called the next morning, I was instructed to address my concerns via the telephone app in the following week, And if you ring at 5:30 pm, you'll remain first in the queue until the office closes at 6 pm 😂.

Terrible telehealth experience with unhelpful nurse
Got stuck waiting for a telehealth consultation since in-person appointments are nearly impossible now, and when the call finally happened, the healthcare provider seemed completely disinterested! She appeared totally checked out and ignored everything I was trying to communicate.

Frustrating healthcare service fails patients completely
The issue with Healthy Prestatyn Iach isn't the personnel, but their electronic service. It directs patients to emergency departments or to call 111 without communicating with their primary care physician. It's no surprise that hospital emergency rooms are overwhelmed. Securing an in-person doctor's appointment has become virtually unattainable.

Lifesaving care during my covid battle
I battled Covid during the early days of the year and received outstanding care that kept me from being hospitalized. Based on various online platforms and discussions, it appears some individuals should reflect on their motivations for reaching out to medical services. Thoughtful and appropriate utilization of healthcare resources will help ensure medical professionals can focus on critical patient needs.

Unacceptable care for my suffering baby
I've been a patient at this medical practice for several years, and scheduling appointments has always been challenging, but COVID has made it even more difficult. When you have a 9-month-old infant with a severe rash and reach out to the surgery, you anticipate an urgent response. However, that wasn't what happened. They collected all the necessary information and promised a callback, but no one ever got back to me. This left my baby suffering throughout the entire weekend with an undiagnosed skin condition, forcing me to seek medical advice through personal connections. It's no surprise that emergency rooms are constantly overwhelmed when primary care practices fail to provide timely support.

Worst surgical experience ever terrible communication
This surgical experience is beyond frustrating - if there was a rating lower than zero, I'd choose it without hesitation. Even acknowledging the challenges everyone faces during COVID, waiting three entire days just to receive a simple callback is completely unacceptable.
