Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reveals a significant divide in patient experience at this practice. Medical professionals, particularly certain physicians and pharmacy staff, receive consistent praise for exceptional clinical expertise, compassionate care, and attentiveness to patient needs. However, this strength is substantially undermined by widespread concerns about reception experience and appointment access. Patients report persistent difficulties contacting the practice, with phone lines frequently busy and callbacks not materialised. Reception staff conduct is a recurring complaint, with multiple accounts of discourtesy, dismissiveness, and unprofessional behaviour that patients describe as creating stress during vulnerable moments seeking healthcare.

Appointment availability and waiting experience present additional challenges. Patients report extended delays, with some waiting significantly beyond scheduled times, and describe a booking system that relies on triage gatekeeping before appointments are confirmed. Communication responsiveness is inconsistent, with some patients experiencing prompt callbacks whilst others report abandoned callback promises and delayed test result follow-up. The practice environment has also been noted as requiring attention, with concerns raised about cleanliness and equipment functionality.

Whilst a minority of recent reviews highlight improved reception courtesy and convenient appointment scheduling, the predominant pattern across feedback indicates that reception experience, appointment access, and organisational responsiveness require urgent attention to align with the quality of clinical care being delivered.

Great!

Smooth service with one squeaky door hiccup

Everything was excellent, with prompt assistance. The sole minor issue was the main entry door, which squeaked quite loudly and would benefit from a bit of lubrication on its hinges.

Terrible service and misdiagnosis from incompetent doctor

I spent the entire morning desperately dialing 40 times attempting to schedule an urgent consultation, which resulted in me losing work hours. Unable to connect by phone, I was forced to physically visit the medical practice to arrange an appointment. Upon arrival, I discovered the consultation was with a nurse, not a doctor, without prior notification. The service quality is completely unacceptable for the fees charged. Previously, this GP failed to correctly identify my medical issue, compelling me to seek diagnosis privately overseas at significant personal expense. Now I'm compelled to navigate the NHS system for treatment while managing a serious health condition that's causing me considerable distress. Steer clear of Dr Fahmi at all costs. His unprofessional demeanor and apparent lack of medical competence, particularly in understanding appropriate patient referrals, are deeply concerning.

Horrible service from unprofessional and rude staff

The odor is absolutely awful. The elderly receptionist displays an unacceptable demeanor completely unsuited for customer interaction. She made us stand in the frigid environment and then had the audacity to become annoyed with us, claiming she would have admitted us momentarily. We, who arrived precisely on time, were subsequently forced to endure an extended waiting period. Significantly underwhelming overall.

Disappointing medical practice with zero patient care

In the past, this medical practice was exceptional when Dr. Duggal and his wife were running it. However, the quality has significantly deteriorated. During my recent visit to address an infection, I was seen by a new female physician who completely lacked interpersonal skills and seemed intent on expediting my appointment as quickly as possible. Previously, the Duggals would engage in a comprehensive consultation, checking my overall health, taking my temperature, measuring blood pressure, and even recording my weight. In stark contrast, this new doctor merely conducted a cursory examination by briefly listening to my chest and back with a stethoscope, then hastily scribbled a prescription for Ibuprofen on a piece of paper. She then promptly tried to usher me out, providing no opportunity for me to seek clarification or ask any questions. Absolutely unacceptable

Worst medical practice ever terrible service

It's impossible to contact this medical office - their phone lines are perpetually busy. I've spent hours attempting to reach them without success. When you do interact with their staff, they're incredibly unhelpful and dismissive. To make matters worse, the doctor misinterpreted my daughter's condition, incorrectly diagnosing her with a kidney infection.

Nightmare experience at this unprofessional medical facility

Steer clear of this disastrous facility run by completely unprofessional staff. The entire team demonstrates aloofness towards patients and their health concerns. The receptionist lacks basic hygiene, coughing directly at you without any attempt to cover her mouth. They make empty promises with zero intention of following through, management is perpetually absent, appointment scheduling is chaotic and unreliable, and no one takes responsibility for their errors. An absolutely dreadful experience!!! I wish I could give a negative rating

Rude reception ruins great doctors experience

Healy medical centre boasts exceptional physicians, yet the reception team's demeanor is shockingly unprofessional. I'm bewildered by how the NHS continues to overlook these persistent complaints about staff attitude. A friendly greeting can make such a significant difference, and basic kindness shouldn't be too much to ask. It's astounding that this issue has remained unaddressed throughout my entire experience with the centre. I firmly believe urgent action is necessary, particularly given the sensitive nature of healthcare services. The reception staff urgently need to reflect on their interpersonal approach and consider the impact of their consistently disrespectful conduct. Their behaviour is truly disheartening and completely unacceptable in a medical environment where compassion should be paramount.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical center

I've been a patient at this medical center for twelve months. I strongly advise against anyone choosing this facility, as the reception staff display extremely poor attitudes and the physicians lack professionalism. Never in my entire life have I encountered such a disappointing healthcare experience. As a result, I've since transferred to another medical practice.

Terrible front desk ruins an otherwise good medical centre

The medical professionals are top-notch, but navigating the reception is a nightmare. Hands down the most frustrating healthcare facility I've encountered. The front desk staff are notorious for cutting off calls when they're swamped and repeatedly botching appointment scheduling (I've personally experienced at least three mix-ups, arriving only to be told my booking doesn't exist). Beyond being utterly unhelpful, they're also incredibly discourteous. My recommendation to newcomers in the area is simple: steer clear of this clinic.

Terrible reception ruins good medical practice

I regrettably must confirm the previously shared narrative from personal experience. During my registration inquiry, the head receptionist treated me with unjustified dismissiveness, as though I were an inconvenient interruption. Although I arrived precisely 10 minutes early as instructed, my subsequent interaction with an excellent nurse was preceded by a deeply unpleasant waiting room experience. The LCD public notice screen, rather than displaying health information, was filled with condescending, authoritarian directives that resembled instructions for misbehaving children. Despite completing my registration, I ultimately transferred my medical records to a nearby practice. The clinical staff may be competent, but the reception team's unprofessional conduct significantly damages the surgery's reputation. These substandard customer service practices urgently require management intervention and correction.

Worst medical center experience ever terrible service

I recently attempted to complete my registration at Healy Medical Centre, and the experience was far from pleasant. No one informed me about arriving 10 minutes early, and the staff member who greeted me had an incredibly off-putting demeanor. She spoke to me as if I were a misbehaving child, emphasizing that the nurse was 'very strict' with a completely serious expression. Throughout our interaction, she made no effort to be welcoming and essentially treated me like an unwelcome inconvenience. Despite standing at the reception desk for 10 minutes, she claimed I did not attend the appointment and gave me just 'one minute' to complete my registration. As a result, I was unable to register. I cannot possibly recommend this service, regardless of the potential quality of their medical staff (which I never got to experience), because the initial reception is incredibly stressful and unprofessional - precisely the opposite of what a patient needs when seeking medical care.
