Frustrated patient struggles with unresponsive doctor

Right now, I'm waiting for a call from my GP, which was scheduled for 8.00am this morning. He did phone at 12.30, but didn't allow me enough time to answer, given my mobility challenges. It's now 4.45pm, and I've called the surgery twice, keeping my phone with me constantly, even taking it to the bathroom! What sort of system are we dealing with!!!! If this were any other service, I would demand compensation for such poor treatment, especially considering I've contributed to the NHS throughout my entire life. The physician at this practice is clearly unsuited to his profession, demonstrating a complete lack of patient care. While I recognize they are under pressure, a doctor's fundamental role should be showing consideration, empathy, and genuine concern for their patients, regardless of circumstances. This medical practice falls significantly below acceptable standards.

Terrible medical care leading to hospital emergency

This medical practice used to be top-notch with excellent staff and facilities. However, since the Covid pandemic began, it has deteriorated dramatically into complete chaos. I'm not typically someone who complains, but my recent experience demands attention. When seeking an appointment for a condition I believed required medical attention, I was brushed aside with a telephone consultation conducted by a medical student! I submitted a urine sample the next day and received a text message with negative results, without any follow-up call. I attempted to contact the surgery to discuss my ongoing worsening symptoms with a GP, but no call was ever returned, despite repeated assurances. Consequently, I found myself in A&E within 48 hours, experiencing extreme pain. Clearly, the GP practice either misdiagnosed my condition or displayed complete indifference. To make matters worse, A&E confirmed an issue with my urinary system and arranged medication and an urgent outpatient appointment potentially requiring surgical intervention. Adding further insult, the surgical pre-op team informed me they had been in contact with my GP to arrange antibiotics due to an infection discovered during my pre-op assessment. Predictably, no contact or prescription came from the GP. When I reached out, excuses were made with no genuine attempt to resolve the issue. The level of unprofessionalism is astounding - in my profession, such behavior would result in immediate termination. I strongly advise caution when dealing with this practice, as I've learned other patients have experienced similar treatment. Once I'm well enough, I will be filing a formal complaint.

Thanks to Dr. Thorn and his compassionate nursing staff, she was able to spend her final moments peacefully at home 🙏 💯 Instead of passing away in a sterile hospital environment, she was surrounded by loved ones Her 90-year-old husband was right by her side, holding her hand as she gently transitioned, completely free from pain 🙏

I'm constantly battling with prescription refills, with the practice sending me on a pointless run-around between their office and the pharmacy. Invariably, they claim I should speak to the pharmacist, only to discover later that they never even transmitted the prescription in the first place. This frustrating scenario repeats itself almost every single time I need a medication renewal! The service is completely unacceptable, especially for something that should be straightforward and simple. I've heard every imaginable excuse, and frankly, it's beyond infuriating!

Friendly service but parking nightmare for customers

The personnel here are incredibly supportive and accommodating. While the facility itself is pleasant, I'm frustrated by the parking situation. It appears the available spots are primarily reserved for staff and customers, leaving little room for others. Moreover, there are merely four designated spaces for individuals with disabilities, which is woefully inadequate. I find myself genuinely perplexed by this arrangement.
