Feedback reveals a deeply divided patient experience at this practice, with significant operational challenges dominating the narrative. Appointment access remains the most persistent concern, with patients reporting weeks-long waits, phone lines consistently at capacity, and online booking systems that are either non-functional or inaccessible. Communication failures are widespread, including missed callbacks, delayed responses to urgent requests, and inadequate support for patients with accessibility needs. Reception experience varies considerably, with some patients praising courteous and responsive staff, while others describe dismissive or unhelpful interactions. Prescription handling errors have caused frustration and health impacts for multiple patients. On a positive note, when patients do access care, clinical quality is frequently praised, with patients appreciating attentive listening, thorough examinations, and professional care from individual clinicians and nurses. Several reviews highlight exceptional responsiveness from specific staff members and efficient same-day prescription processing. However, these positive experiences appear inconsistent and insufficient to offset systemic access and communication barriers that prevent many patients from reaching services in the first place.
The practice faces particular challenges supporting vulnerable populations, including elderly patients unfamiliar with digital systems and those requiring urgent or specialist care. Patients report feeling dismissed when presenting with serious health concerns and frustrated by bureaucratic processes that delay necessary treatment. While some recent reviews suggest modest improvements in reception courtesy and online responsiveness, the overwhelming pattern indicates that appointment availability, phone accessibility, and timely communication remain critical areas requiring substantial improvement to meet patient expectations and healthcare standards.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical practice
Complete mockery of a medical service, Virtually unreachable by phone, and when you finally secure an appointment and arrive, they're tardy and arbitrarily truncate the scheduled consultation time

Terrible healthcare practice with zero patient care
The reception team is a complete disaster! The management demonstrates incompetence, displaying terrible leadership and an unprofessional demeanor, with staff appearing disheveled and unkempt. Critical patient referrals are mishandled, and repeat prescriptions consistently fail to be processed in a timely manner. The entire medical practice is in total disarray. A data breach has been reported to the Information Commissioner's Office, and the senior partners are so inept they couldn't manage even the simplest tasks, let alone run a medical practice effectively. They show absolute indifference towards patient care and well-being.

Mixed experiences with helpful gp surgery
Is this the ultimate GP surgery? Not quite. My experiences with various doctors have been inconsistent, particularly regarding diagnoses and follow-up care. However, they manage to perform reasonably well. Some physicians genuinely invest time in understanding and helping me and my children, while others seem quick to brush off concerns. But I recognize this is a broader issue related to individual doctor personalities, not specifically this practice. Their online system is convenient. Despite claims of month-long response times, I've consistently received replies within a day or so. While securing doctor appointments can be challenging, I appreciate their inclusion of evening Taurus hours, which allows my children to be seen after school and provides additional same-day slots. Overall, I'm satisfied, though not without reservations. No healthcare provider is flawless. I've also observed staff enduring undeserved verbal abuse. People are understandably frustrated with healthcare, yet these professionals continue striving to help. That's my perspective.

Terrible emergency service with constant delays
Never manage to get an appointment, constantly told at HMG that they are completely booked. Advised to call 111 at 6:30 PM, which is completely unsatisfactory. Extremely poor service.

Terrible customer service that makes me want to scream
Unwelcoming front desk personnel who provide inconsistent responses to administrative inquiries. Each staff member seems to offer conflicting information. They demonstrate minimal compassion or understanding when dealing with delicate matters. The customer service is abysmal. It's baffling how individuals with such apparent disdain for human interaction can work in a role fundamentally centered on assisting and supporting people.

Terrible service that breaks my elderly fathers heart
Absolutely appalling treatment! My elderly, unwell father was coldly dismissed simply for arriving 10 minutes past his scheduled time. The front desk staff's attitude was shockingly unprofessional and callous. This is completely unacceptable!!!

Compassionate professional who made a difference quickly
Nina demonstrated exceptional responsiveness and promptly handled my urgent referral request for my father. Her assistance was incredibly comforting, especially given my professional background in healthcare and understanding the challenges of navigating medical pathways. Nina's professionalism, empathy, and swift action were truly remarkable. I extend my sincere gratitude for her outstanding support!

Amazing healthcare service beyond my expectations
What more can I express about this medical practice. Honestly, five stars barely scratches the surface... their communication is prompt, courteous, and incredibly supportive. They genuinely hear my concerns. Whenever I submit an online inquiry, a response arrives within an hour, sometimes even faster. Such an exceptional healthcare provider. During these challenging times, their efficiency consistently amazes me. Having relocated from London, I feel fortunate to have found a surgery of this caliber. In fact, 20 stars would be more appropriate! As someone working in a GP surgery in Hereford, I understand the immense pressures healthcare professionals face. HMG are truly outstanding.

Terrible service and impossible to schedule appointments
Scheduling has become impossible these days. If you're experiencing any medical issues, you might as well wait for the worst-case scenario or head straight to the emergency room...

Worst mental health support ever avoid completely
Absolute nightmare of a facility. I'm experiencing constant emotional distress and they assured me they'd contact me at 9:30 due to my severe mental health crisis. Most of the staff seem completely incompetent and show zero empathy towards their patients. If you value your mental well-being, I strongly advise you to avoid this place at all costs!!!!!

Terrible service when mental health needs help fast
Dealing with a critical mental health concern right now, and the response has been absolutely frustrating. After waiting an excruciating four days for a promised callback that never materialized, I was forced to resubmit my paperwork, only to be given an appointment in April! 😂😂😂 This organization operates like an amateur setup, seemingly unconcerned about expediting appointments or providing timely support. Their approach appears haphazard and completely lacking any sense of urgency.

Neglected healthcare leaves patient frustrated and suffering
My partner has been consistently dismissed at every medical appointment. After undergoing a blood test that revealed issues, he was advised to have a follow-up test a month later, which still hasn't happened three months on. Regarding another health concern, he was initially instructed via text to obtain phosphate, which a pharmacist confirmed cannot be purchased over-the-counter due to its potential dangers and need for personalized medical guidance. During his subsequent GP visit, the doctor simply suggested drinking milk after a quick Google search. He was then referred for nerve testing and told the GP would contact him within a week to discuss options. However, he heard nothing until booking another appointment a month later, followed by additional waiting. The eventual telephone consultation addressed his concerns about work impact, with the GP callously suggesting he should just change professions. Throughout this process, he has been repeatedly ignored, left without explanations, and experiencing escalating pain with no resolution in sight. When I attempted to share our experience on the NHS website, the system indicated the situation was so serious that a formal complaint should be filed instead.

Terrible medical care that left me hopeless
What a horrendous and repulsive medical practice. A complete mockery of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and reception staff. What kind of medical facility makes it impossible to communicate without a physical visit? I've never felt so marginalized and insignificant in my entire life. I've encountered numerous medical practices, but this one stands out as an absolutely appalling experience. Your patient care is non-existent. The appointment waiting periods stretch beyond a month for a single consultation. I endured a month-long wait only to discover my appointment was arbitrarily cancelled. I was promised a rescheduled appointment, yet I remain in limbo. I am utterly exhausted by this medical practice and firmly believe it should be permanently shut down. The management is clearly incompetent and completely disconnected from basic healthcare standards. On Monday, I cannot even reach my doctors. I guess I'll just have to remain unwell. How absolutely wonderful.

Dangerous medical neglect puts patients at serious risk
This approach is absurd. When urgent communication is necessary, it's impossible. My partner experienced critical glucose levels of 28 and 22, signaling a serious medical crisis, yet the receptionist refused to let him consult a physician or even hear my urgent phone explanation. They nearly ejected him and insisted he complete paperwork... completely unacceptable. If any harm befalls him during this unnecessary waiting period, I will absolutely pursue legal action. A thoroughly deplorable medical practice.

I've been attempting to contact them since 9 AM, and now it's 3:30 PM with still no response... their queue is completely full, and all I'm hearing is excuses. This situation is seriously aggravating my depression 😫 It feels like there's absolutely zero support available for me right now 😢

Booking appointments impossible despite helpful doctors
After multiple attempts over three consecutive mornings using NHS app online forms, I couldn't secure an appointment. I tried patient access app as well, both for a routine matter where I wasn't in any rush. However, I can only imagine how incredibly challenging this must be for someone with a sick child. I spent three days attempting to reach the receptionist, consistently being told no spaces were available in the queue. Eventually, I managed to get on a callback list. This experience reinforces that larger practices don't always mean better service. While I'm comfortable with technology, I'm deeply concerned about how elderly or less tech-savvy patients would navigate such a complex booking system. On the fourth day, I'll note that the receptionist was very pleasant when I finally connected.

Terrible service left me in pain and frustrated
Absolutely useless service. They dismissed my concerns by claiming they were at full capacity and redirected me to call 111, which in turn told me to contact my doctor's office the following day. This is completely unacceptable. I've been suffering with pain for days, and nobody seems interested in providing any assistance. I'm definitely switching healthcare providers because of this total lack of support and care.

Compassionate healthcare that truly makes a difference
Throughout my long-standing experience with this healthcare group, they have consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to my well-being and significantly enhanced my quality of life. I am deeply grateful for this complimentary health service, as private healthcare has never been feasible for me, nor have I ever felt compelled to seek private treatment. The staff are wonderful, and I understand the challenges faced by the healthcare system.

Frustrating healthcare system leaves patients in pain
Reaching out to your primary care physician has become a digital ordeal now. You're forced to complete an online form, after which they contact you just to suggest that for pain management, even with underlying heart issues, you should consult a dentist. And said dentist can only recommend over-the-counter ibuprofen. Brilliant system, right? Let's see how satisfied you'll be when enduring a week-long migraine with such limited medical support.
