Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience with significant variation in service quality across different aspects of care. Many patients report positive interactions with clinical staff, describing compassionate care, attentive listening, and responsive referral processes. Reception experience and appointment booking present more inconsistent patterns, with some patients praising friendly and helpful staff while others describe dismissive attitudes, long waiting times, and difficulties accessing appointments. Communication emerges as a key concern, with reports of delayed responses to medication requests, poor follow-up on test results, and inadequate explanation of clinical decisions.
Medication management and continuity of care show particular challenges, including delayed prescription processing, incomplete medication provision, and insufficient follow-up on patient concerns. Some patients experienced improved service over time, suggesting the practice has made efforts to address previous issues. However, others report ongoing difficulties with reception staff courtesy, appointment availability for urgent cases, and responsiveness to patient communications. The feedback indicates that experience varies considerably depending on which staff member is encountered and the nature of the clinical issue being addressed.

Great!
Remarkable transformation from past frustrating experience
They have made significant strides since my previous review! The establishment is now much more attentive and accommodating. From a few years ago: Not recommended for new parents: - Scheduling a visit for a two-week-old infant requires waiting a week or longer. - Attempting to arrange an urgent phone consultation involves daily calls at 8 AM, with no satisfactory response. - When trying to book an appointment two weeks in advance, they claim it's too early. - The administrative staff is unwelcoming, borderline discourteous, and prone to abruptly ending phone conversations.

Compassionate doctor who goes above and beyond care
Dr. Pervez consistently demonstrates exceptional compassion and support, particularly during challenging moments like when my father was facing health challenges. He swiftly organized an urgent hospital consultation, which was incredibly reassuring during our period of anxiety. His quick intervention potentially prevented my father's medical situation from deteriorating further. Additionally, he addressed my knee ligament injury with remarkable professionalism, providing expert guidance for my rehabilitation. Even post-surgery, he remains attentive and continues to monitor my recovery, displaying authentic concern for my well-being. His unwavering commitment and empathetic approach have been truly transformative in my medical journey.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical staff
I was referred for an ultrasound weeks ago, and the staff continues to claim they haven't received my results, insisting that I must personally track down and follow up on them. The front desk personnel are discourteous and completely unhelpful.

Disappointing care from an unprofessional healthcare provider
Dr. Percez comes across as personable, yet his medical expertise raises serious concerns. The postpartum care was disappointingly inadequate, with pediatric assessments being barely acceptable while critically neglecting essential follow-up steps, especially given my documented medical history of complications after childbirth. I'm ultimately relieved to have moved on from this healthcare provider.

The front desk staff greeted me warmly and with a smile. My doctor was compassionate and attentive, truly listening to my concerns. Each of my medical issues was thoroughly assessed with great care and expertise. I'm thoroughly satisfied that I chose this medical practice as my new healthcare provider.

Horrible service and discriminatory staff nightmare
Discriminatory staff, particularly the woman at the front desk, made this experience unbearable. I endured an incredibly long wait just to secure an appointment, only to then be left sitting in the reception area for two excruciating hours.

Worst medical experience ever with zero communication
The doctor dismissed my concern without even examining me. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, he reluctantly requested images. I submitted the pictures Friday morning and heard absolutely nothing. Friday evening, I called and was informed a note had been left for the doctor, who hadn't yet reviewed my images. The entire weekend went by with zero communication. Monday morning at 8am, I was met with indifferent staff who claimed the doctor would review and contact me later. Instead, I received a message to pick up medication without any diagnosis. I sought clarification and was spoken to condescendingly. When I attempted to lodge a complaint, I was simply told to send an email. This medical practice is completely unacceptable, and the staff are beyond unprofessional. So much for quality healthcare.

Dangerous gp practice with negligent medical care
My previous GP Dr Rahman was exceptional, but they unfortunately surrendered their medical licence. I opted to transfer to Dr Pervez Surgery. Upon registration, the receptionist insisted I must have an initial consultation before any medication could be issued, including repeat prescriptions. I contested this, highlighting my pregnant and diabetic status. The receptionist remained firm that no medication could be prescribed and scheduled the earliest available GP appointment. At this point, my medication was critically low. I received a last-minute text cancelling my appointment due to the GP being unwell. A different receptionist explained their new patient policy aims to ensure attendance, and she would request my repeat medication on this occasion. Things deteriorated further. I've lost track of how many prescription request emails were ignored, experiencing hyperglycemia episodes, with medications only issued after extensive follow-ups. Despite emailing a comprehensive medication list, only one item would be prescribed, with Dr Pervez inexplicably omitting other medications and occasionally issuing incorrect prescriptions. I was compelled to file complaints and involve the ombudsman multiple times. Dr Pervez called me, adopting a patronizing tone, criticizing my "excessive" insulin requests. I attempted to explain that had they reviewed my emails, they would understand I was chasing overlooked prescriptions. I complained about the 1-2 week delays in medication provision. Essentially, Dr Pervez declared I would receive repeats solely at their discretion, effectively when I'm completely out! For pregnancy insulin, this constitutes medical negligence! I should be replenished before exhausting my supply, a point my midwife concurred with! They audaciously misled my midwife about timely medication prescriptions. Fortunately, I maintained email records and call logs, and my midwife, aware of my situation, did not believe their claims. My diabetic records prove my controlled insulin management prior to Dr Pervez's intervention! Within months, I've endured unnecessary stress. I believe Dr Pervez has completely lost professional competence! 1) Falsely claimed medication prescription quantities contradicted by pharmacy records 2) Prescribed Folic acid when Aspirin was requested 3) Consistently delayed repeat medication by 1-2 weeks without explanation 4) Repeatedly ignored multiple medication requests, prescribing only one item from multiple requests Their conduct has compromised my pregnancy, forcing me to change GP practices. Absolutely unacceptable behavior - Dr Pervez should have their licence revoked. I've submitted an official complaint to the ombudsman. I hope this serves as a warning to potential patients considering this practice!

Terrible service and zero patient care at this clinic
Absolute nightmare of a medical practice. They seem solely focused on doing the bare minimum and rushing patients out the door as quickly as possible.

Terrible service and unhelpful staff at medical practice
I attempted to register my family at this GP practice, but was misled about the required identification. The receptionist was dismissive and insisted I was mistaken. Their unprofessional attitude was so off-putting that my entire family has now switched to a different healthcare provider. I strongly advise others to avoid this clinic. As someone who works on NHS panels, I found their approach unacceptable. When I tried explaining that some potential patients, particularly elderly individuals, might not possess a driver's license or passport, they were completely unhelpful. They refused to accept alternative forms of ID like bank statements, despite many people not having utility bills. The whole experience was utterly ridiculous and frustrating.

Lifesaving help from amazing nurse at surgery
Here's my personal account: due to the absurd NHS regulation that prescriptions can only be issued three days prior to medication depletion, I accidentally overlooked my prescription and was without my thyroid medication for the day. However, the nurse at the surgery was FANTASTIC, telling me not to stress. She immediately initiated the process, and I was able to pick up my pills from the pharmacy by 1:30 PM. GREAT JOB, HORNCHURCH SURGERY!

Dismissive doctor failed to address my health concerns
I recently switched to this medical practice and immediately felt my health concerns were being dismissed. Despite undergoing multiple tests and scans in recent months, it seemed they hadn't even reviewed my medical records. I persistently requested a referral, but they consistently ignored my input. I felt repeatedly brushed aside, with their only suggestion being medication, and when they recommended seeing a nurse, I objected because I had already completed an ultrasound - which was documented in my notes - making a nurse consultation inappropriate. Eventually, they agreed to a referral and abruptly ended the call! It has taken me two exhausting months to reach this point, and I am thoroughly dissatisfied with their treatment. UPDATE: Shortly after this frustrating experience, I opted for private healthcare. I was promptly seen, underwent additional tests, and underwent surgery within two months because, finally, my concerns were taken seriously!

Terrible service and uncaring staff at clinic
Fails to address patient needs with urgency and compassion. When my newborn, just 40 days old, needed treatment for her eye condition, the clinic refused to help unless she was registered. They could have easily added her as a temporary patient, especially since I, her mother, was already at the facility for surgery. The staff, particularly the receptionist, displayed a shocking lack of empathy and professionalism.

Disappointing medical care for wheelchair user
Recently enrolled with the local medical practice, being a wheelchair-bound patient who selected this clinic due to its proximity to my residence. Without any apparent justification, they abruptly terminated my registration at the practice, providing neither warning nor explanation. While it might ultimately be a blessing, their service quality and appointment scheduling are utterly inadequate.
