Feedback on this practice reflects a mixed experience with distinct patterns across clinical and administrative services. Physicians are consistently praised for compassionate care, clinical expertise, and responsiveness, with many patients reporting positive experiences during consultations and urgent care situations. However, appointment access presents a significant challenge, with patients frequently describing difficult booking processes, limited availability, restricted time slots, and phone system issues that create barriers to scheduling. Reception experience is similarly polarised, with some patients noting helpful and welcoming staff while others report discourtesy and unhelpful interactions.
Communication failures emerge as a recurring concern, including unclear guidance about appointment procedures, gaps between reception and clinical staff information, and administrative obstacles affecting referral processes. Long waiting times for phone consultations and in-person appointments are mentioned across multiple reviews. Despite these administrative difficulties, patients with established relationships at the practice often express strong confidence in the medical care received, suggesting that once access is achieved, clinical quality is generally high.
The practice appears to face capacity pressures that impact service consistency. While urgent care is sometimes delivered efficiently, routine appointment availability remains constrained, and the booking system creates frustration for patients attempting to access non-emergency services. Service standards vary noticeably between individual staff members and across different interactions.

Unhelpful Vaccine Booking Runaround
I just had an interaction with a receptionist who was completely unhelpful, refusing to schedule my second vaccine dose. She insisted I must wait for the initial vaccination site to reach out, and additionally claimed that a five-week interval between doses was inadequate. Instead of supporting people in doing the responsible thing during these challenging times, it seems your staff are actively finding ways to avoid their professional responsibilities - truly disgraceful conduct! I appreciate your response acknowledging your workload, but I'm puzzled: why am I receiving text prompts to contact my GP? And how is it that your practice managed to book my first dose, yet now claims inability to help? Furthermore, the information provided by your receptionist appears to be fundamentally incorrect.

Terrible Phone Consultation, No In-Person Care
I am utterly astounded by this practice's complete abandonment of patient care. The only way to access medical help is by enduring a grueling 30-minute wait during extremely limited time slots, since online booking has been discontinued. You're then greeted by an irritable receptionist who schedules a PHONE consultation (not even video, just audio) with an equally disinterested GP, typically lasting a mere five minutes. Patients often struggle to articulate their symptoms accurately, and describing complex health issues over the phone to someone who cannot physically examine you is incredibly challenging. Crucial medical conditions are typically discovered through thorough physical examinations, where a competent doctor can visually assess a patient. Phone consultations instead breed complacency, with doctors hastily prescribing medication and dismissing patients. How can potential serious conditions like cancer or jaundice be detected? How can heart or lung issues be properly evaluated? I'm experiencing severe back pain, and previously, GPs from this same practice would conduct in-person examinations, refer me to specialists, and arrange X-rays. Now? I'm simply instructed to find a private physiotherapist at £44 through an app. The NHS is essentially pushing patients towards expensive private healthcare via telephone. In other European countries, GP practices remained fully operational during COVID, with doctors wearing protective equipment and seeing patients in person. Here, primary care has been reduced to virtually nothing, which is absolutely disgraceful.

Terrible Referral Mess at This Clinic
The administrative and reception staff are incredibly unprofessional. Steer clear of this practice! I must share yet another frustrating encounter with this general practitioner. After laboriously obtaining a referral to a Blood Test Center located almost an hour from my location and scheduling an appointment, the center turned me away because the GP failed to submit the necessary blood test request form. Now I'm forced to restart the entire process: securing a new referral, booking another appointment, and hoping that this time the GP actually sends the required documentation to the testing center.... Absolutely avoid this medical practice!!!!!!

Terrible GP: No Appointments, Rude Staff
I'm thoroughly dissatisfied with this medical practice, but unfortunately, it's the sole option in my area. The receptionist (a short-haired woman) is extremely discourteous and unhelpful. Securing a doctor's appointment is nearly impossible unless it's an urgent same-day emergency, and even then, physicians rush through consultations without genuinely listening to patients' concerns. The communication between doctors and reception staff is consistently contradictory. While SOME doctors are competent, you rarely get to see the same physician twice. I was ultimately forced to visit the emergency department due to appointment unavailability, and interestingly, the A&E doctor who also works at the practice was shocked by my inability to schedule a consultation. The management appears completely indifferent to these persistent service issues, as numerous reviews highlight identical problems with no apparent improvements. If alternative GP practices exist in your area, I strongly advise exploring those options instead.

Doctors were good, but admin was a mess
The medical professionals themselves are excellent once you interact with them, but the administrative staff and supervisor are abrasively unhelpful. I recommend exploring other healthcare providers if you desire a comprehensive and smooth experience from initial scheduling through treatment and prescription management. I deeply regret not receiving this advice prior to signing up with this practice.

Dr Rudd and Team Saved My Health
Given my intricate and serious health challenges, I can confidently state that the general practitioners at this medical practice are the most compassionate, skilled, and empathetic professionals I've ever encountered. They attentively listen, address every concern, and utilize all available resources to secure appropriate treatment, expedite hospital referrals, and even personally deliver medication when necessary. My quality of life has dramatically enhanced since meeting the exceptional Dr Rudd. The sole reason for my four-star rating is the reception team. Except for Tracy 1, the remaining staff members are often unhelpful, inflexible, and occasionally discourteous to the point of being unbearable. I remain committed to this practice solely because of the outstanding doctors and nurses, but I sincerely hope the administrative staff undergoes significant improvement.

Rude Staff, But Great Medical Team
The front desk staff's attitude is consistently terrible! Their unprofessional behavior hasn't improved at all, despite multiple encounters. Whenever I've needed to contact the office by phone, I've been met with dismissive and unpleasant treatment. However, it's worth noting that the medical professionals - the doctors and nurses - are extremely supportive and kind.

Compassionate Care for 40 Years Strong
Throughout my four-decade relationship with this medical practice, I've consistently experienced unwavering support and compassion. The front desk team consistently demonstrates exceptional customer service, displaying genuine friendliness and always making extraordinary efforts to assist patients. During periods of serious health challenges, they have been absolutely remarkable. While there can occasionally be some scheduling complexity when attempting to see your preferred physician, this is a reasonable and understandable limitation given their likely busy patient load.

Long Wait for a Simple Appointment
I just got a letter about cervical screening and dialed option 2 for a routine appointment. There were 6 people ahead of me in the queue. After waiting 45 minutes, I became first in line, yet still sat idle for another 10 minutes. Frustrated, I tried calling from another phone, only to hear an announcement about clinic closure at 12:30. Their approach to managing patient time is completely unacceptable. The whole system seems chaotic - their online booking is non-functional due to COVID, and the phone system is equally ineffective. I've been registered with this GP practice for over two decades, and I'm beyond irritated. And let me be clear: stop using COVID as an excuse for systemic problems that should have been resolved long ago.

Frustrating Cervical Screening Appointment Runaround
Weeks back, I got the notification for my routine cervical screening. COVID-19 disrupted my plans, so I began trying to schedule in July. During my last call (seven days ago), staff suggested I ring this week about slots beginning 17/8, which worked best for my schedule. As per their previous guidance, I phoned this morning, only to be told the relevant staff member is vacationing next week with no alternative available. Unbelievable! It seems strange that this leave wasn't mentioned during our prior conversation. Had I received clear communication, I would have already secured an appointment. Does anyone know of a medical practice currently accepting new patients?

Longtime Highgate Medical Practice with Great Doctor
This medical practice has been a cornerstone of north London healthcare since its inception, originally located on Jackson Lane before relocating to Highgate in 1987. Dr Graham was a dedicated general practitioner who served the community for an impressive 35 years, truly embodying the qualities of an exceptional doctor. However, the current challenge lies in the area's significant population growth.

Terrible Care and Long Wait Times
This medical facility has grown its patient load to a point where the quality of healthcare has significantly deteriorated. The standard of care has been reduced to a bare minimum, and accessing specialized services now involves an excruciatingly long waiting period of several months. The staff demonstrate minimal commitment, deliver substandard care, and maintain an insufferably pompous attitude. Regrettably, this unprofessional approach seems prevalent among most of the doctors, who urgently require a serious wake-up call and dramatic improvement in their performance.
