A home visit was completed by 1:00 PM. Dr. Caroline Harker was incredibly compassionate and professional - I couldn't be more impressed with her approach. Tremendous appreciation for such an excellent healthcare experience!

I consulted Dr Joshua Meremikwu at the Dow Surgery, and he merely provided a sick note for a fortnight, despite my ongoing battle with anxiety and depression. Previously, I would receive notes for two months. His sole recommendation was to pursue talking therapies, which I had already tried five years ago and found utterly ineffective. As someone on universal credit, I'm constantly pressured to return to work, which is impossible given my additional health challenges. This doctor's approach was entirely unhelpful, and I consider my appointment yesterday a complete waste of time - I wouldn't even trust him to prescribe something as simple as an aspirin.

I'm reluctant to post a critical review, but the staff at this medical practice have absolutely appalling customer service. The receptionists are incredibly discourteous and unpleasant - in any other professional environment, their behavior would be grounds for immediate termination. Additionally, the parking situation is extremely challenging, with parking enforcement officers frequently patrolling the area, so visitors should exercise extreme caution.

The medical professionals, including physicians and nursing staff, are truly wonderful. However, the front desk personnel can be incredibly unpleasant at times. The level of attitude and disrespect they display is appalling. I understand they work in a high-pressure setting, but that's no excuse for being discourteous to someone who has shown nothing but politeness towards them.

I must acknowledge that the reception staff's performance has significantly enhanced over time, which I can personally attest to. The process of scheduling a GP appointment has notably improved, and there are excellent alternative options if one is comfortable with them. However, my primary concern remains the car parking situation. During my most recent visit, and many previous ones, I've been compelled to trudge up that steep hill while battling severe sciatica - no trivial matter. What's particularly frustrating is that approximately 23 parking spaces are occupied, yet inside the facility, only 2 to 4 people are waiting. How is this possible? I've raised this issue before, but the response has been disappointingly lukewarm. It's high time management started monitoring these vehicles or implemented clear signage indicating that these spaces are exclusively for patients, many of whom have mobility challenges. They should prioritize patient needs instead of allowing anyone to park there simply because they can.

Recently relocated from another medical practice in the area that I had given up on, and I must say I'm thoroughly impressed with the service here. Upon calling, I've been seen by an actual doctor within 30 minutes, unlike my previous experience of waiting two weeks just for a phone consultation. So far, I've consulted two physicians, and everything has been excellent. I don't want to discredit The Dow - their doctors are indeed fantastic and have been incredibly helpful. However, I'm frustrated by their limited appointment availability. I've predominantly seen an MSK specialist or a nurse and have struggled to secure appointments with the main doctors. The battle with office staff to get an appointment has been exhausting, and their accessibility was particularly challenging when I was using crutches for years - navigating stairs was extremely difficult. In contrast, Hillview offers a completely different experience. They have a convenient ramp, parking lot, and dedicated disabled parking space. The entire facility is on a single level, with the pharmacy conveniently located in the reception area. This layout is a blessing for those with mobility or health challenges that make climbing stairs problematic. Thank you, Hillview, for providing a genuinely patient-centered medical practice. xxxx

My inaugural blood test at Hill View Medical Centre was a first-time experience, and I was thoroughly impressed by the staff and nurse. They were incredibly approachable and genuinely wonderful. Unlike other medical practices that constantly contact patients, this center allows you to conveniently check your blood test results through the NHS App, where you can effortlessly access and review all your medical documentation.
