My encounter at the medical practice was far from satisfactory. The staff demonstrated a complete lack of compassion and professionalism. They appeared indifferent to my concerns and entirely dismissive of my health issues. Despite feeling unwell, the receptionist was unhelpful and coldly suggested I go to the emergency room if I was still sick, with no offer of an appointment. I'm consistently frustrated by the inadequate level of care and support at this surgery, which seems to provide extremely substandard assistance.

The front desk staff are incredibly supportive and provide excellent guidance. When I called about a prescription, the receptionist was proactive and made sure it was processed and ready on the same day. If you contact them during reasonable hours, they handle emergency appointments promptly and efficiently. Both the nursing and medical staff demonstrate remarkable care and attention, especially when dealing with pediatric patients. I truly appreciate the quality of service provided.

Terrible service and unhelpful staff at hillview

I sought a pediatric blood test referral from my GP, who prescribed numbing cream. When calling Hillview for instructions on cream application, I was redirected back to my GP, who couldn't specify the exact test site. Upon arrival, the proposed test areas were unsuitable, resulting in a failed procedure. This mishap cost me half a day of work and my daughter half a day of school, all due to the lack of clear, simple instructions we had proactively sought. Attempting to provide feedback, I requested to speak with the practice manager. The receptionist intrusively interrogated me about a potential complaint, repeatedly questioning my patient status and eligibility to speak with management. She claimed the manager was unavailable and insisted I return to my GP, contradicting standard procedure. I argued that at minimum, contact details should have been provided. However, she adamantly maintained that no communication would occur. I question the rationale behind employing staff who obstruct patient care through misinformation. As a practice manager, I would value direct feedback about service quality. Either management is unaware of these interactions, or the receptionist's behavior reflects a systemic communication failure. REPLY: Clearly, staff lack proper training in both clinical instructions and patient communication protocols. Despite claiming transparency, they denied basic contact information and professional courtesy. While technically employed, they seem trained only in creating barriers rather than facilitating patient care.

Rude staff and endless wait ruined my day

Terrible front desk staff made my experience frustrating. I arrived for my scheduled 11:00 appointment, and by 11:38 I still hadn't been called back to see the doctor. When I inquired about the delay, the receptionist dismissively told me to wait, showing no interest in checking the scheduling system. Due to work commitments, I ultimately chose to depart. The clinic essentially squandered nearly 40 minutes of my time without providing any medical attention.

My 90-year-old mother receives outstanding attention from both the doctors and nursing staff. Scheduling appointments has always been seamless and hassle-free. This morning, after a minor mishap where I cut myself, I arrived at 8am without a prior booking and was immediately assisted by the nurses. They promptly treated my wound and advised me to return on Friday for dressing change. The entire team maintains a warm, welcoming demeanor with genuine smiles. I cannot recommend Hillview Surgery highly enough to anyone seeking compassionate and efficient healthcare. They truly deserve recognition for their outstanding service.

I've been a patient at this Clinic for around 3 years, and I'm disheartened that longstanding patient concerns haven't prompted meaningful changes in staff attitudes. I believe the Practice Manager should be less lenient with certain staff members, as I've encountered some truly unpleasant interactions with both staff and doctors. However, on a positive note, some staff members are truly exceptional. The nurses, especially Nurse Maria, are remarkably empathetic and professional, bringing a refreshing sense of care that almost made me forget the negative experiences. Nevertheless, some doctors tend to dismiss conditions too casually and could benefit from enhanced empathy training, despite their clinical skills. I'm troubled by the Practice Manager's defensive responses to reviews, which makes me skeptical about their commitment to addressing complaints. While managing a team is challenging, I suggest implementing performance monitoring strategies, such as a point-based system to regulate staff conduct. I cannot accept subpar service, particularly for patients on State Benefits. It's clear that clinical surgeries are struggling with budget constraints amid the ongoing NHS crisis. I view reviews as constructive tools for community service improvement. Professionals should receive customer service training, not just for front-line staff like receptionists, but for entire medical teams. The nurses, particularly, stand out and set a standard the Practice Manager should encourage across all departments. After 19 years of NHS experience as both a patient and professional, I believe this practice requires significant improvement. I'm reluctantly leaving the Surgery, having experienced more disappointments than positive moments. Blessings and best wishes to patients and staff.

Unprofessional doctor with shocking medical advice

Completely terrible medical procedure just today on 13.4.2023. I attended an appointment and was seen by a nurse who was quite pleasant. However, the information she shared about Dr. Patel was deeply troubling. I had a concerning growth on my right hand that was causing me anxiety. To my shock, the doctor suggested to the nurse that she should strike my hand with a book as a solution. As a result, I am now actively seeking out an alternative healthcare provider.

Dangerous doctors deliver devastating medical disaster

This medical practice is an absolute nightmare. The front desk staff are unhelpful, and the physicians are shockingly incompetent - I'm astounded they're permitted to practice medicine. Their diagnostic skills are consistently poor, and the doctors appear unprofessional, disinterested, and borderline negligent. Multiple patients have reported being dismissed with minimal treatment, only to later discover they had serious conditions that were initially downplayed. Critical health issues have been reduced to simple pain management, which is dangerously irresponsible. This is unquestionably the most terrible healthcare facility I've encountered. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this surgery at all costs.
