Terrible customer service at hillview medical center

I'm writing this review solely because my general practitioner referred me to Hillview for blood work. I'm thoroughly dissatisfied with their service. The receptionist falsely claimed she contacted me and abruptly ended the call without giving me a chance to speak. My recommendation is that they should invest in training their staff to actively listen to patients and demonstrate empathy. Particularly, some of the Asian receptionists seem challenging to communicate with, as they appear more focused on delivering their scripted responses rather than truly hearing the patients' concerns.

Terrible service from unhelpful lalita at dvla

THE CHALLENGING EXPERIENCE I ENCOUNTERED IS PERMANENTLY ETCHED IN MY MEMORY, ESPECIALLY REGARDING AN EMPLOYEE NAMED LALITA!! SHE SEEMS TO WORK MINIMAL HOURS, AND I STRONGLY RECOMMEND SHE SERIOUSLY RECONSIDER HER PROFESSIONAL APPROACH IF SHE CONTINUES TO TREAT PATIENTS THE WAY SHE HANDLED MY DVLA APPLICATION AND ULTIMATELY ABANDONED MY CASE.

Terrible customer service ruined my healthcare experience

I recommend that your reception staff improve their phone communication skills and show more compassion towards patients. Each time I've called, the staff member has been discourteous and constantly talked over me. I believe individuals dealing with health concerns should not be treated so dismissively. When I was battling COVID, I was unable to consult with a physician because the only response I received was that they were fully booked, with no regard for my critical circumstances.

Gentle nurse made blood test a breeze

I'm primarily writing this review about a straightforward blood draw experience. Historically, I've almost always ended up with a massive, intimidating bruise at the injection site. However, during this visit to the new clinic, the nurse demonstrated exceptional skill and care. Her gentle approach was truly appreciated. (I believe her name was Sarah, if I recall correctly) As a relatively recent patient, I'm still unfamiliar with the practice's operations. The patient registration process struck me as somewhat time-consuming, and I found myself making multiple phone calls to confirm my registration was properly processed. Despite that minor inconvenience, I'm quite fond of their same-day appointment booking system, which involves a morning call-in method. This approach definitely suits my personal scheduling needs.

This medical practice is commendable. I've found it straightforward to arrange phone appointments without difficulty. Nevertheless, I sincerely hope they will reinstate in-person consultations shortly, as direct interactions provide greater comfort, particularly for older patients like myself.

Reliable medical care with a professional touch

I've been a patient here for quite some time, and I can confidently say their medical care is solid. Naturally, there are always individuals who start off with unrealistic expectations, griping about every little thing, believing healthcare should come without cost and that they can behave however they want. The clinic's operations are definitely professional and well-managed. While the reception staff could perhaps benefit from being a bit more welcoming with the occasional warm smile, Dr. Shergil handles the complexity of running this large medical facility with impressive skill. Overall, I have absolutely no criticisms to raise.
