Terrible medical records nightmare causing patient distress

I've been a patient for over a month and still haven't received any of my medical records. I tried to schedule steroid injections but was denied, despite being overdue. I booked a COPD review and wanted to discuss medication changes, only to be told I don't have COPD or asthma because there's no record of my previous diagnoses, even though I've been treated for these conditions for nearly three years. I can't access the NHS app or patient portal because, surprise, there are no records of me at the surgery. I've been going down nearly every day, calling my old doctors and chasing paperwork when I shouldn't have to. I wanted to speak with someone in charge, but they're apparently off sick. I'm left in pain and experiencing anxiety over this entire situation. There isn't a shred of compassion from any of the staff, and I find them incredibly rude and completely unsuited to their profession.

Complete misuse of resources and public funds. Less than two hours post-surgery, I'm desperately seeking follow-up care, needing daily wound packing and dressing for my head injury. Yet they can't schedule me for a week. I'm utterly speechless. As the exceptional nursing staff at Manor Hospital in Walsall aptly put it, "This exemplifies the systemic issues plaguing our healthcare system - a direct result of substandard medical practices like Holland Park Surgery in Brownhills" 🤬

Terrible service and unprofessional medical staff

I arrived punctually for my scheduled appointment, only to endure a 60-minute wait before being seen. I approached the receptionist twice, but she displayed a dismissive attitude and seemed indifferent to my concerns. Other patients who arrived after me were being called in ahead of me. This experience perfectly illustrates why I typically avoid medical appointments! When I finally spoke with the doctor, they claimed I wasn't even registered as present, despite my having checked in at the front desk twice. The receptionist clearly failed to properly log my arrival. The entire situation was completely absurd and unprofessional.

Terrible pediatric service for desperate parents

Terrible infant healthcare. I repeatedly called to schedule a doctor's appointment for my 6-month-old, only to be informed they exclusively accommodate newborns. Completely absurd - a 6-month-old is still a baby, isn't he? They suggested I take my sick child to the walk-in centre since they'd exhausted all emergency slots by 8:10 am. How is this supportive of mothers? Disgraceful.

Terrible experience. This medical practice shows a complete lack of patient care. They prescribed incorrect medication to my father, resulting in a six-week hospitalization. More recently, my blood test results have vanished, and I'm unable to schedule another appointment for 4 weeks, despite needing these tests completed within a specific timeframe before my next prescription. They consistently dismiss patient concerns and provide minimal assistance. I am actively seeking a new general practitioner and plan to leave this surgery immediately.

Terrible surgery fails to help newborn with rash

I've been a patient at Holland Park Surgery for almost a year since my daughter was born in October, and they have been completely unhelpful. About a month after her birth, she developed a small rash, and to even book an appointment, we had to submit photos and wait until 8 am to schedule, which is absurd. After seeing the GP, they dismissed it as a birthmark - something that was clearly incorrect to anyone looking at the images. Their response was simply to "call back if it got worse" - an unacceptable approach for a newborn's medical concern. A responsible healthcare provider should address issues proactively, not dismissively. From November 2021 until now in March 2022, we've received zero meaningful assistance and were forced to seek help at Walsall Manor Hospital. Holland Park Surgery is an absolute disgrace. My family and I are changing providers immediately. Their level of care is so poor that we're seriously considering legal action for their negligence.

Completely unacceptable service with zero availability for appointments. They're dismissive, constantly redirecting patients to out-of-hours services, 111, or the manor, showing zero interest in providing face-to-face consultations. If the rating system allowed it, I'd give them zero stars. Their phone responsiveness is equally terrible, with incredibly long wait times to even get through.

Prescription Nightmare Leaves Patient Frustrated and Helpless

It seems perfectly acceptable to these people to terminate recurring medication orders without any notification to the patient, even after the request has been pending for days. They evidently fail to grasp that a repeat prescription exists for a critical purpose, and the patient likely depends on this medication daily. The response is utterly appalling - essentially being told to endure and suffer, with a casual "sorry, we're closed" attitude, forcing patients to wait until Monday. I certainly have no desire to end up in the emergency room this weekend!

The front desk staff are absolutely awful. When you try to contact them, they'll keep you waiting endlessly, then pick up the phone with giggles, only to hang up after you've wasted half an hour listening to their ridiculous queue message. They claim "you're in a queue" but never actually provide any real assistance.
