Dedicated Staff, but One Tricky Receptionist
The medical staff at HPS are incredibly professional and supportive. Our family has been patients at this practice for nearly two decades. We continue to come here because of the exceptional healthcare professionals who are truly outstanding, in spite of one problematic individual at the front desk. The clinic has recently brought on some newer, more compassionate receptionists who are genuinely helpful. Nevertheless, there is one staff member who consistently creates frustration for me during every interaction. She is extremely challenging to communicate with. She habitually anticipates what you're about to say, interrupts before you can complete your thought, and typically provides convoluted responses. Everything seems like an inconvenience to her, and she makes you feel defensive. Any attempt to explain or clarify only makes her more rigid and uncooperative. She completely lacks listening skills. Whenever I recognize her voice when calling, I now immediately hang up and try again later. However, once I manage to bypass her, HPS remains a medical practice absolutely worth maintaining.

Worst Medical Practice I've Ever Encountered
This medical practice is utterly repulsive and chaotic - their service is abysmal. If a zero-star rating were possible, I'd choose it. From the front desk to the administrative staff (Leah and Sandra should seriously consider career changes), the personnel are disgracefully disrespectful and contemptible, believing they can shout at patients and abruptly end phone calls once their schedule is full. I've never encountered a healthcare facility so monumentally terrible. I'm absolutely switching to another surgery and hope other patients abandon them, leaving them to wallow in the unprofessional treatment they richly merit. This is healthcare involving vulnerable individuals, and they demonstrate absolutely no compassion or understanding.

Truly, there's a profound dysfunction at this establishment. The receptionist's and her self-important "reception manager's" hostile demeanor and lack of professionalism is utterly shocking. After considerable effort, I discovered she isn't even the actual practice manager, which made her condescension even more galling. Despite repeated complaints over an extended period, the practice's leadership seems indifferent to the toxic behavior of these front desk staff who clearly abuse their minimal authority. The entire practice's ability to provide competent care is fundamentally compromised by retaining such unprofessional employees.

Receptionists' Rudeness Ruins Morning Calls
The receptionists' rudeness is absolutely shocking. I can't comprehend why management isn't addressing this issue! It's deeply disappointing because most GPs are actually competent. Except Dr Bala and Dr Jivraj. Despite feeling unwell, I consistently avoid these two doctors. From my experience, they merely waste my time, forcing me to schedule additional appointments with other physicians who actually help. Dr Bala constantly rushes patients without showing any compassion, and Dr Fatima Jivraj consistently fails to properly diagnose illnesses! That single star is solely for Dr Bala and Dr Jivraj. However, the reception staff deserve zero stars. They are absolutely terrible! Particularly the phone enquiry staff, who are incredibly arrogant and discourteous. The practice management desperately needs to monitor conversations between patients and receptionists to understand their staff's appalling behavior. Every time I call to book an appointment, especially early morning after 8am, the receptionist speaks to me as if I'm completely incompetent. They make me feel utterly distressed. Their rudeness is unbearable! They constantly talk over patients, assuming they already know the nature of the enquiry!! Repeatedly, I must wait for them to finish their nonsensical chatter before I can ask my question, all while they interrupt me. No professionalism, no customer service, no empathy. Just pure arrogance and disgustingly offensive behavior.

Bleeding and Dismissed at Holland Park Surgery
Would give zero stars if possible. Approximately a month back, I suffered a severe hand injury and sought medical attention at the clinic before heading to the emergency room. The receptionist with a shaved head callously demanded that I 'stop bleeding everywhere' as my wound saturated my improvised bandage. Despite this horrific encounter, I initially intended to register Holland Park Surgery as my primary healthcare provider due to its proximity to my workplace. The same staff member dismissively rolled her eyes, informing me that I resided outside their catchment area, but grudgingly suggested I could still apply and see if the doctors might accept me. Given such abysmal treatment, I'm absolutely certain I'll seek registration elsewhere. I'm deeply concerned about how this appalling reception might intimidate or discourage someone in an even more vulnerable state than myself. Absolutely unacceptable.
