I don't normally leave one-star reviews and have had no issues with any other staff at the practice—they've all been excellent. However, I feel compelled to express my disappointment with the unprofessional standards I've experienced with a particular staff member. According to the practice's policy, if you need a fit sick note, the procedure is to submit a request online through the designated portal. Despite following this procedure multiple times, this staff member has marked my requests as "complete" without actually addressing them. This has led to confusion and delays, leaving me with no option but to contact the GP directly and arrange an appointment. This situation has been incredibly frustrating, especially when the system is in place to make things easier for patients. It's disappointing on multiple levels, and I am really tired of dealing with the lack of professionalism from this individual. I sincerely hope this issue is addressed, as it's impacted my experience and added unnecessary stress to an already difficult time.

Called but hung up, then turned away for being late
I'm very disappointed with how the surgery handled my appointment. There was confusion around a phone call—I answered but the line disconnected, and when I called back, I felt the staff weren't helpful. When booking, I had made it clear that the appointment time would be difficult for me, so the surgery was aware of this beforehand. Despite this, I managed to arrive only 15 minutes late, but I was turned away without being seen. The receptionist didn't attempt to check with the clinician to see if I could still be accommodated—it would have taken just a few minutes. Instead, I felt there was no real effort to assist me. The doctor I was scheduled to see also made no attempt to consider seeing me. This isn't my usual practice, and I have to say the communication here fell short of what I'd expect. The lack of effort from both reception and clinical staff to help patients is disappointing.

I must say that compared to what friends at other surgeries experience, this practice is remarkably straightforward. While I acknowledge others may have had different experiences elsewhere, this place genuinely stands out as significantly better than many alternatives. The ability to view your own test results through the app is really helpful, you can arrange appointments at times that suit you for future dates, and several of the clinicians here are exceptionally skilled and compassionate. Phone wait times are also quite reasonable. I'm very grateful for the service.

This medical centre is quite good overall. The online appointment system takes a little while to set up initially and could be confusing for some people, but it's genuinely helpful once you get the hang of it for booking appointments and submitting requests. Whether you phone or use the online system, the team responds promptly the same day and assists with arranging any appointments you need. The staff member who helped me today was lovely and very pleasant, thank you!

I was advised that my daughter required two different types of inhalers and was asked to arrange an appointment. Once I had booked the appointment, I was informed that a pharmacist would contact me during a specific morning window, however this call never came through. When I rang back to follow up, the receptionist who answered was unhelpful and did not acknowledge my concern or offer any apology for the missed contact. I felt let down by the overall standard of care provided.

Disappointing, I recently had a frustrating experience with how my appointment was managed. When I discussed my availability and suggested alternative times, there appeared to be confusion about what was agreed. I was subsequently told I had missed my appointment despite confirming the time on the day it was scheduled, which did not match my understanding. The calls I received came from withheld numbers, preventing me from being able to call back to resolve the misunderstanding. Additionally, I found the manner in which I was treated by the reception team to be unhelpful and lacking in courtesy, which made the situation more difficult to resolve.
