Feedback reflects a practice experiencing significant operational challenges that are affecting patient care. Appointment availability remains a persistent concern, with patients reporting difficulty securing timely slots and extended waiting periods for results and medication authorisation. Reception experience is mixed, with some patients describing helpful and welcoming staff while others report unpleasant interactions and unresponsive phone lines, including instances where calls went unanswered despite staff presence. Communication gaps are evident across multiple areas, including unclear appointment confirmations, delayed test result notifications, and insufficient explanation of clinical decisions.
Clinical care presents a contrasting picture. While some patients praise competent and supportive clinicians, others describe dismissive behaviour, inadequate examinations, and concerns about diagnostic accuracy. Several reviews highlight serious cases where initial assessments were questioned or missed significant conditions, raising concerns about thoroughness. Medication authorisation delays and gaps in continuity of care have also been reported, with some patients experiencing delays of several days for essential prescriptions.
Nursing care and proactive referrals receive positive mention in some reviews, and punctual nursing appointments have been noted. However, the overall pattern suggests systemic issues with access, administration, and communication that are creating barriers to consistent, reassuring care. Patients express concerns about confidence in the service and several indicate they are considering alternative provision.

Bad!
Records lost and medication delayed over weekend
I had an extremely negative experience with this practice. Medical records appear to have gone missing, and my daughter's respiratory condition is not properly documented on file despite her long-standing health needs. After attempting to obtain necessary medication for two days, we were informed on a Friday that we would need to wait until Monday to proceed. This is deeply concerning given her current health situation and vulnerability. My daughter is particularly anxious about her health at present, especially with illness circulating in her household, and her respiratory symptoms are causing her significant distress. I feel the delay in providing her with required medication is unacceptable and we intend to escalate this matter further. The timing of this situation is particularly worrying given her current circumstances and existing health concerns.

Helpful receptionists made switching surgeries easy
I've only recently registered with this practice, but my experience has been excellent so far. The reception team have been very friendly and welcoming, the nursing staff have provided outstanding care, and the clinician I saw was genuinely helpful and supportive. It's a significant improvement compared to my previous surgery, and I'm pleased with the level of care and attention I've received.

Bad!
Impossible to book appointments with rude reception
Whenever I attempt to book an appointment, I find it extremely difficult to secure one. Additionally, the reception staff interactions are frequently unpleasant, and I feel the level of customer service falls well short of what I would expect.

Misdiagnosis led to serious health complications
I would strongly advise against using this surgery. If possible, I would have given no stars. A clinician diagnosed arthritis in my foot based on X-rays that were supposedly taken. This came as a complete shock to me as I had no recollection of having any X-rays performed. My foot presented with significant discoloration, appearing dark red and dark purple, with two of my toes appearing almost black. However, the examination conducted was brief and only resulted in the observation that I had good circulation in my foot, with a recommendation to increase my medication dosage. Later that same day, the pain became unbearable and I attended A&E. I was subsequently referred to another health centre. Neither facility examined my foot to provide reassurance, and both advised me to return to my doctor. Feeling this was not a suitable course of action, I decided to register with a different practice. When my new clinician examined my foot, she immediately provided a referral letter to A&E. I was admitted to hospital for three days where a blood clot in my leg was identified. The clinician explained that without prompt treatment, I risked losing one or two toes. The initial diagnosis and approach could potentially have resulted in serious complications requiring amputation.

Excellent!
Friendly reception staff made the difference
The clinician here is a busy professional, but if you're able to secure an appointment with them, they're excellent. The reception team are pleasant, welcoming and supportive.
