Staff were rude and ignored accessibility needs

This practice is not suitable for individuals with learning disabilities. I am a carer and legal representative for a person with autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities. The care provided during my client's time at this centre was deeply unsatisfactory. I communicated the situation to a staff member and was required to complete documentation outlining the circumstances. My client has significant literacy difficulties, which the practice was made aware of. I attended all appointments with my client to provide support. Despite this, I received a complaint about my manner of communication. In January, I attempted to order medication through the NHS app but was unable to access it, so I contacted the surgery. I was informed that my client was no longer registered with them. The staff member who spoke to me was dismissive and spoke in a manner I found disrespectful to both myself and my client. I was told that a staff member had sent letters to the property giving 28 days notice of removal from the register. I was shocked and requested to speak with a doctor. This person was also rude and refused to transfer me to another member of staff, stating my client was no longer their responsibility. My client requires regular medication and many other prescriptions. The sudden removal from the practice caused significant difficulty, as I was unable to find alternative GP care in the area. My client experienced considerable suffering due to the interruption in their regular medication, which they had been taking for 20 years. The letters notifying us of removal were sent via email in document format, despite the practice knowing my client cannot read or write properly. I had provided my contact details, which were ignored. I have evidence of text messages cancelling appointments that the practice later claimed my client had missed. This treatment of a vulnerable person is unacceptable, and the handling of this situation has caused considerable harm.

Quick appointment booking with friendly reception staff

No issues whatsoever, straightforward to book an appointment and the team were very supportive. The reception staff were particularly pleasant and made me feel welcome! This is definitely the finest GP practice I've attended.

GPs that don't listen and takes weeks yo get an appointment

I have suffered with severe rheumatoid arthiritis in my knees for over 3, 4 months now and haven't bothered even going to my doctors again about it because when I first went there the gp said it was probably osteoarthritis and rheumatoid factor blood test came back normal. Just because there is no swelling or redness yet doesn't mean it isn't. I have both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. Rheumatoid in my knees and all the joints in both my hands and wrists plus osteoarthritis in my left elbow. I also have severe insomnia, severe diagnosed and undiagnosed mental health plus psychological issues, suicidal ideation, a tbi and autism, severe neck problems and I have no support at all for anything. I thought changing from the chapel group to this gp I would get sorted but no. I'm back to planning my suicide. The nhs used to be good, now there is no point in it at all when people actually die waiting for an ambulance or get ignored. Alot more people killing themselves because noone cares about the legit mentally ill people anymore. I used to blame the Labour party but it doesn't take the government to turn healthcare professionals, mental health services, the ambulance service and the police into incompetent lazy good for nothing selfish people.

The clinician demonstrated an unhelpful demeanor during my appointment. I felt that the consultation was rushed and insufficient, particularly given my medical circumstances at the time. The level of care and compassion shown fell short of what I would expect. I would suggest considering alternative practitioners for future appointments.
