Feedback reveals a practice struggling significantly with appointment access and communication, with persistent challenges in booking availability, extended phone waiting times, and reception responsiveness creating substantial barriers to care. Patients report difficulty reaching the practice through both phone and online channels, with many experiencing dropped calls, unavailable appointment slots, and inconsistent information from staff. The e-consultation system is frequently cited as non-functional or inaccessible, and reception staff conduct is described as discourteous and unhelpful in multiple accounts.
Despite these systemic administrative difficulties, positive feedback indicates that when patients do access medical professionals, clinical care quality is generally strong. Nursing staff and doctors are frequently praised for compassion, professionalism, and thorough attention to patient needs. Several patients note that the medical team demonstrates genuine commitment to patient wellbeing and provides attentive, evidence-based care.
The gap between clinical excellence and administrative dysfunction emerges as a defining pattern. Patients acknowledge that the practice's medical professionals deliver good care, yet the appointment booking process, reception experience, and communication systems create frustration that undermines confidence in the service overall. Continuity issues, lack of responsiveness to complaints, and organizational disarray are cited alongside recognition that individual staff members occasionally provide exceptional support.

Doctor's Office Fails Patients Every Time
An absolutely terrible general practitioner. It's impossible to accomplish anything with them. They appear completely indifferent to the urgency of medical matters, despite the fact that health concerns are critical for patients. Disgraceful.

BadIt is impossible to get an appointment here.
I was initially pointed to their website to make appointments and manage care, however, the website doesn't work so I had to call the reception. Unsurprisingly the person on the phone sounded like she had better places to be and my call was of great inconvenience to her. The first question she asked was 'What is this regarding?' to which I avoided replying as she's not a medical professional sworn to confidentiality. She insisted I had to tell her so I was forced to disclose my medical problem to a random person which isn't great. When asked for an appointment for the next few days she said the practice didn't make appointments in advance and I had to call at 8 am as they only take appointments for the same day - a ridiculous system given I don't know when my call will be taken (it's been 3 days of trying) and I need to coordinate my work schedule around it, so same-day appointments don't work for the patient. I've been trying to call for 3 days now but it's impossible to get through! I need to be seen by a doctor but genuinely don't know when this will happen. Not an acceptable way of dealing with patients, and given GP practices are privately run there's no blaming the NHS for how useless they are!

Smooth Transition to Island Health in London
I am completely impressed with this medical practice. Relocating to London two years ago was a significant life change that caused us considerable anxiety, particularly regarding finding a new healthcare provider after leaving our previous clinic in northern England. Fortunately, our apprehensions proved groundless, and we have experienced exceptional care from the compassionate professionals at Island Health.

Exhausting Morning Appointment Battle
This practice deserves a rating far below zero, if such an option existed! The daily ritual of calling before 9am to secure a doctor's appointment is absolutely exhausting. I'd gladly shell out £10 for a guaranteed booking system, and I'd even be willing to pay a penalty if I fail to attend. The current booking process is simply unbearable and needs a complete overhaul.

Frustrated with Practice's Unresponsive Staff
After reviewing the numerous comments, it's clear most are deeply unsatisfactory. I'm curious about the actions of Michelle, the Practice Manager, in addressing these concerns. My personal experience has also been frustrating. I submitted a formal complaint just yesterday and am still awaiting a response. Someone must be held responsible for these ongoing issues. If the practice manager fails to contact me by tomorrow, I will escalate my complaint further. I have far more important matters to attend to than continuously raising issues about ineffective reception staff and a malfunctioning online consultation system that seems perpetually unavailable, especially given the critical medical context that necessitates a prompt and professional response.

Ignored My 8am Video Consultation Request
The most incompetent general practice ever I submitted my consultation request at 8am when their system opens, yet received absolutely no callback. They bizarrely claimed to have attempted calling me twice and dismissed me with a text message suggesting I purchase over-the-counter medication from a pharmacy. I comprehend that the NHS is struggling with resource limitations and staff shortages, but what's the point of offering healthcare services when no actual healthcare is being provided????

Weeks of Frustration with No Appointment
Scheduling a consultation here has been a nightmare. I've been attempting to secure an appointment for weeks, and their consistent response is simply to "check back tomorrow." Their customer service is completely ineffective and frustrating.

Bed-bound and Dismissed at Local GP Practice
I've endured multiple unsatisfactory encounters at this medical practice, and I remain deeply dismayed by the substandard care provided. Firstly, the reception staff lack proper medical training. They are unqualified to redirect patients to a pharmacist when someone seeks a GP consultation. The triage system should serve as guidance, not replace fundamental medical judgment. Patients should not be compelled to disclose their entire medical history, nor should staff act as gatekeepers determining our eligibility for an appointment. Moreover, the doctors' performance is unacceptable, demonstrating a complete absence of professional responsibility. They've eliminated face-to-face consultations, instead attempting diagnoses through brief telephone conversations without conducting any examinations. Their apparent strategy seems to be redirecting complex cases to A+E once a patient's condition significantly worsens. In my specific situation, I was given an ultimatum of arriving within ten minutes or waiting two days, despite explaining I'd been bedridden for several days. The dehumanizing nature of this service is profoundly distressing. Would these professionals be content if their own family members received such treatment? I'm particularly concerned about the practice's most vulnerable patients - the elderly and non-English speakers - who are experiencing this deplorable level of care. I strongly recommend that dissatisfied patients request the formal complaints procedure from reception and meticulously document their experiences. The NHS ombudsman remains an additional avenue for addressing these serious concerns.

Frustrating wait times and poor reception service
Searching for a new healthcare provider, but this practice continues to disappoint. For two weeks, I've been unable to schedule appointments. The front desk staff's behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

Annoying midday closure with no patient warning
Their front desk is intermittently shut down for staff training between 1 and 3pm. It would be considerate if they could dispatch an automatic notification to patients registered with this medical practice. It's frustrating and inefficient for patients to travel unnecessarily only to find the reception unavailable.

Terrible phone consultation with Dr. Mccullagh
I am thoroughly let down by my experience. Dr. Catherine Mccullagh displayed a lack of professionalism and was entirely uncooperative. Her demeanor during the phone call suggested she was eager to end the conversation quickly and came across as threatening. Upon reviewing the medical notes she documented during our consultation, I discovered her statements were misleading and her conduct was inappropriate. As a direct result of this interaction, I have made the decision to transfer my medical care to another practice.

Booking Nightmare at Island Health GP
After numerous tries to schedule an appointment, the digital booking platform remains persistently inaccessible, and their telephone support merely redirects you to complete an online registration that doesn't function. This has resulted in a frustrating weeklong ordeal of attempting to secure a medical consultation, with absolutely zero progress. In summary, I find Island Health GP's appointment scheduling process to be fundamentally flawed, and the quality of their patient support is thoroughly disappointing. I cannot in good conscience suggest this medical practice to anyone desiring dependable and streamlined healthcare services.

Frustrating wait times at this medical practice
Practically worthless, scheduling appointments is incredibly time-consuming. The medical practice randomly shuts down without clear notice. It seems the front desk staff deliberately drag out interactions for unknown reasons. Residents of the Isle of Dogs might want to consider Barkantine surgery on Westferry Road as an alternative.

Missed Appointment and Wasted Day with Toddler
I've been a patient at this practice with my family for approximately five years, and the quality of service has been consistently deteriorating. Communication and scheduling appointments have become increasingly challenging. While the medical professionals are excellent, the administrative side is completely dysfunctional. Today, I sacrificed a workday and pulled my toddler out of nursery for a pre-arranged preschool immunization appointment. Upon arrival, we were greeted by hastily printed A4 signs announcing the centre's closure for staff training, with no staff present inside or available by phone to provide any guidance or assistance.

Listened and Solved My Health Concerns
I've had an exceptional experience with this medical facility. They were genuinely committed to identifying the root cause of my symptoms, rather than simply writing a prescription. The physician was well-informed, attentive, and ultimately prescribed the precise medication that effectively addressed my health concern. Additionally, the practice boasts an incredibly welcoming and supportive team.

Quick and caring doctor's service
Throughout my two-year journey with this medical practice, I've consistently experienced top-tier care and support. The physicians demonstrate a sincere commitment to patient well-being and genuinely prioritize helping their patients. Additionally, the digital appointment scheduling platform has been incredibly efficient, with my inquiries consistently receiving prompt responses within a day of submission.

Frustrating Cancellations Again and Again
I've experienced three separate instances where my nursing appointments were abruptly terminated without any prior communication, and this morning they sent a text message informing me that today's appointment was also canceled, which now brings the total of canceled appointments to four. The level of service is unacceptably substandard.
