The practice appears to operate with minimal medical staffing, with what seems to be a single overworked doctor perpetually absent, supplemented by locum physicians who struggle to navigate basic administrative systems. I personally experienced a consultation with an elderly physician who appeared to have been hastily recalled from retirement, resulting in a catastrophic misdiagnosis that cost me three weeks of work due to his profound medical incompetence. The sole bright spot in this otherwise dismal healthcare setting is a remarkably competent and empathetic healthcare assistant who conducts blood pressure and sugar level assessments—her professionalism stands in stark contrast to her colleagues' approach. Having now transferred to an alternative practice, I can confidently state that the difference in professional standards is extraordinary. The new facility's comprehensive care and efficiency are light-years ahead of this previous nightmare. My unequivocal recommendation to anyone genuinely concerned about their medical welfare: avoid this surgery at all costs. Finding a superior alternative is remarkably straightforward.

Shocking medical center with poor patient care

I'm perplexed by the low ratings John Smith receives. Could there be underlying discrimination at play? Upon relocating to Johnsmith Medical Center on December 20th, 2024, from Old Kent Surgery with my partner, I've encountered numerous frustrating issues. My medical records remain unupdated in their system, causing constant prescription complications. Every time I request medication, I'm told I'm not in their records, forcing me to navigate my MyChart app to download letters and medication details from my endocrinologist. My primary concern is the inadequate management of my health. I've observed a letter recommending increased medication dosage due to elevated thyroid levels, which could potentially increase miscarriage risks. Shockingly, no doctor has reached out to schedule an appointment. The only communication was from Dr. Cynthia, who merely approved my aspirin and folic acid request and oddly interrogated me about why I needed these drugs. When I attempted to ask questions, she abruptly terminated the call - a clear display of medical neglect. Why should I, the patient, justify my medical needs to a healthcare professional? Shouldn't they maintain comprehensive records to track my health conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments? The receptionists are equally unhelpful, consistently providing nonsensical responses. I've contacted my previous GP and hospital, who confirmed they've sent all medical history for transfer through PDS. Yet, this practice seems unable to process the provided information. How can a medical professional not recognize pregnancy as a significant health condition? I have much more to say, but I'll conclude with a stern warning: if any harm comes to myself or my unborn child due to their incompetence, legal action will follow. They must act immediately. I am writing to convey my deep disappointment with the service provided by this medical practice. Approximately a week ago, I visited the clinic to request a prescription renewal. A staff member informed me that since my last prescription was over six months old, I would need to schedule a doctor's consultation. When I inquired about alternative solutions, I was curtly told no other options existed. Consequently, I booked the consultation and simultaneously requested a physiotherapy appointment for the same day. The staff scheduled my physiotherapy at 9:00 AM and the doctor's consultation for 10:30 AM. As directed, I arrived at the specified time. My physiotherapy session concluded around 9:25 AM, after which I approached the reception and confirmed my upcoming doctor's appointment. The receptionist acknowledged the booking and asked me to wait. After waiting for nearly an hour, I was called back to the reception and surprisingly informed that the doctor could not see me due to my prescription being over six months old – the exact reason why the consultation had been originally arranged. This clearly indicates a significant administrative oversight, as the staff were aware of this detail when scheduling the appointment. Furthermore, I had carefully arranged my work schedule and taken time off to attend these appointments, only to be left waiting pointlessly for an hour. When I explained the situation, the receptionist merely offered a presence confirmation letter, which does nothing to compensate for my lost work time and subsequent income reduction. I find this experience incredibly frustrating and profoundly disrespectful. I sincerely hope the practice will implement measures to prevent similar treatment of other patients. Unprofessional staff ruined my healthcare experience

I encountered a terrible interaction with nurse Nasima Begum, who displayed an incredibly arrogant demeanor and refused to communicate professionally. Her attitude was so pompous, like she was some high-ranking official, completely inappropriate for healthcare staff. On another occasion, the receptionist Yusra claimed to be fully booked after only seeing four patients, dismissing my concerns and telling me no appointments were available. Their unprofessional conduct is unacceptable, and both of these staff members should be terminated from their positions.
