I would rate this practice much lower if possible. Over a six-year period, I have attempted to secure two appointments, and both experiences were deeply disappointing. The appointment scheduling system feels outdated and cumbersome, the reception team appeared inflexible in their approach to my requests, and the online assessment tool seemed poorly designed and lacking in medical accuracy.

Helpful staff who take time to explain things
I attend a practice on East Parade. Most of the reception staff are extremely helpful, though there is one member I find less so. I typically see the nursing staff who are excellent and communicate in a clear and understandable manner. The doctors I have consulted have generally been very good, with the exception of one particular clinician whom I prefer not to see again.

I have experienced difficulties with referral requests, suggestions to seek treatment elsewhere, and multiple missed scheduled contact attempts. Additionally, there are ongoing problems with administrative systems, including delayed updates to patient records and access to medical information through online platforms, despite repeated requests for these to be addressed. The practice's communication about call volumes appears outdated and suggests they may not have adapted their systems to current demand. I would recommend exploring alternative providers.

I would strongly recommend this practice. I believe that some negative reviewers may not fully appreciate the significant resource constraints facing the NHS and the staffing challenges it encounters. Since relocating, I have found myself missing this surgery considerably, as other practices I have tried do not seem to match the standard of care provided here. Booking appointments was never problematic for me; while early morning calls are necessary, this appears to be standard practice across the board. I consistently managed to secure same-day appointments. I primarily attended for mental health support and medication management. The clinical staff I encountered demonstrated genuine understanding and compassion throughout my interactions. They maintained regular medication monitoring, and on one occasion when I missed my scheduled monthly check-in, they proactively reached out to see how I was managing. This was an exceptional practice.
