Reception staff were unwelcoming to young children

I recently attended an appointment at a local medical centre with my family, including my newborn and my toddler. While waiting at reception, my young child was playing quietly in the waiting area. A member of the reception staff spoke to me in a manner I found harsh, asking me to control my child's noise level. As my toddler is very young and didn't understand, I felt uncomfortable and decided to wait outside with both children. The weather was cold and windy, which made the experience particularly difficult while caring for my newborn. I found this interaction stressful and would appreciate if staff could be more considerate when communicating with parents attending appointments with young children. I hope this feedback is helpful in improving the experience for families in similar situations.

I observed that the opening hours displayed on Google Maps for the medical centre indicate closure on Saturdays, however the practice is actually available on that day. I have experienced significant frustration with the appointment system at this practice. When attempting to book appointments, I have been directed to call back at different times, and when offered online options, these have not been accessible or functional. I have been waiting for an extended period without resolution. When visiting in person, I have been told that appointments must be conducted by telephone instead. I find it difficult to understand how certain health concerns can be adequately assessed through phone consultations alone. I am disappointed with the overall coordination and responsiveness of the service, particularly given the investment in the NHS through taxation. I feel that the current system is not providing the level of support and care that patients deserve.
