I've been battling a persistent fever for over three weeks, and my general practitioner has been completely useless. All they do is advise me to hydrate and schedule another appointment next week. I'm extremely frustrated and dissatisfied with the lack of proper medical attention.

Amazing doctors trapped in a terrible office

Dr. Forrest and Dr. Turner are absolutely phenomenal physicians. They're like medical superheroes whenever I visit for my personal or family healthcare needs. Unfortunately, the staff at Karis Medical, particularly the receptionists, are completely disappointing. These front desk employees are essentially invisible, creating an impenetrable barrier that makes accessing care frustratingly difficult.

I've always had a great experience with the medical centre's medical staff, who are consistently warm and friendly. However, the reception team falls short of this standard. When I attempted to arrange an interpreter for my mother, I was abruptly denied. Similarly, my request to adjust the appointment time so I could accompany her was dismissed, with staff stating I'd have to wait until the following week. Upon seeking explanations or further details, I was curtly interrupted. The reception's behavior was dismissive, inflexible, and thoroughly unprofessional.

Compassionate doctor and receptionist exceed expectations

Although I am not a patient at Karis Medical Centre, my brother is. Recently, my brother consulted Dr Forest, who is not his usual physician. Dr Forest provided excellent guidance concerning our specific concerns and was extremely supportive in assisting with a required document. I want to express my appreciation to Lilly for her outstanding support - if only the receptionist at my own medical practice were as helpful and attentive as she is.

Terrible service at karis medical practice

Having been a patient at Karis for nearly half a century, I've reached my breaking point with their ineffective personnel. I clearly communicated my medical concerns to the front desk staff, who subsequently scheduled an in-person consultation for the next day. Upon arriving for my appointment, I was informed that I shouldn't have been booked because the respiratory nurse was absent due to illness. Apparently, the receptionist had circumvented the computer system's blocked scheduling and manually added my appointment. No expression of regret was offered; instead, I was merely presented with a telephone consultation alternative. Anyone with even minimal logical reasoning would understand that if a phone consultation had been suitable, I would have requested that initially when making the booking. As a result, I have now transferred my medical registration to a different practice.

Terrible healthcare experience with incompetent staff

Absolutely terrible healthcare facility with a dysfunctional scheduling process. The front desk staff are unhelpful and seem poorly prepared for their roles. The entire experience is frustratingly inefficient, especially regarding medication management, with constant unnecessary communication loops between the pharmacy and physician. They consistently prescribe medications that are no longer available on the market.

Terrible medical care when i needed help most

I experienced extremely unsatisfactory medical care when I arrived at the practice suffering from significant health challenges. Despite being only slightly delayed due to Birmingham's heavy traffic, Dr. Perry completely refused to see me. My attempts to communicate my situation by phone were futile, as I was stuck in an interminable queue at number 43. When I finally reached the clinic, the receptionist contacted the doctor at 9:11 am to inquire about accommodating me. After a frustrating 20-minute wait while experiencing painful breathing difficulties, I was summarily dismissed because the doctor claimed to be fully booked—despite an apparently empty waiting room where I observed other patients being called in by various medical staff. The complete lack of compassion and unwillingness to assist someone in clear medical distress was deeply disappointing. While I acknowledge that punctuality is important, I believe exceptional circumstances should warrant some flexibility, especially when a patient is visibly unwell and in need of medical attention.

Terrible medical care led to unnecessary suffering

Can't recommend their service to anyone. For the past 12 months, I've been experiencing gastric issues that I repeatedly mentioned during visits. I suggested they check for H Pylori, and they took blood and stool samples but found nothing and offered no recommendations. After another visit with the same outcome, I independently got tested at a private clinic, which confirmed H Pylori positive results. Hoping for treatment, I returned to MC, but they ignored my 44-page blood results and made me retake blood tests instead of referring me for a gastroscope exam. They distrusted my stool sample and rechecked it in their labs, again finding nothing. I had to pay for a private gastroscopy, where they discovered numerous H Pylori bacteria and mild inflammation. I received medication but had to pay full price. Returning to Kaaris, I shared my findings but received no advice. The experienced doctor couldn't provide any meaningful guidance, offering only useless diet suggestions. It was a horrible experience. Now I'm suffering from depression, and no one faces consequences for wasting months of my life. I still have stomach problems and will never trust these unprofessional staff again. I hope no one else experiences what I went through, and I never want to encounter these people again.

Terrible service with endless wait and abrupt hang-up

Despite a brief line, the wait to have my call answered was excruciatingly long, spending over 20 minutes stuck at the front of the queue before someone picked up. The staff member who eventually answered was discourteous and dismissive. When I sought some additional information, they abruptly terminated the call. The entire interaction lasted barely a minute. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Throughout this time, I have never encountered any cause to criticize the management or the medical professionals. The physicians and staff have consistently demonstrated professionalism and exceptional helpfulness. Their callback service also meets my expectations effectively. I encourage them to maintain their excellent standard of care.
