Strongly Recommend

I've been with this surgery for over 2yrs and have a number of very complicated conditions. I had evidence of a serious deterioration; emailed that evidence overnight and in the morning filled out a standard form requesting a referral. 10-15mins after they opened, triage called and booked me in with my regular GP, Dr. Gutta, a couple of hours later. The GP agreed to the referral. I was really appreciative and strongly recommend this practice.

Nancy at this practice truly deserves top marks - she's incredibly compassionate and warm-hearted. The medical facility is immaculately maintained and consistently efficient with scheduling appointments. My only minor observation is that the front desk staff could benefit from showing a bit more understanding. While I recognize their job involves constant telephone interactions, which can undoubtedly be challenging, each patient has unique circumstances and merits considerate treatment when seeking medical assistance. Mutual respect should be the cornerstone of these interactions.

Rude receptionist ruined our pharmacy request

What has happened to the once lovely and friendly receptionists? There is one lady who behaves as if she's doing you a massive favor by addressing questions and assisting with inquiries. This is literally her job!!! My daughter submitted an online medication request, waited days with no response, sent a follow-up reminder, and received nothing. When she called the surgery, this rude and unhelpful lady claimed 'you don't get notifications and it's just sent to a pharmacy' … my daughter told me, and I knew that wasn't accurate. She subsequently received an email (attached) directly contradicting what the receptionist had stated. The receptionist should absolutely understand the correct protocol. We've been patients at this practice for over two decades and have consistently praised the surgery for its helpful and kind receptionists and doctors. Something clearly has shifted, and based on other reviews, we're not the only ones noticing. If you're going to work as a receptionist in a medical practice, you need to be compassionate, patient, and empathetic - qualities completely absent in the staff we've recently encountered. Update. We requested it be sent to Abbots Pharmacy. The receptionist claimed it wasn't sent there. The pharmacy the receptionist told my daughter would have the prescription doesn't actually have it. I just called Abbots Pharmacy (the one we specifically requested) and they do have the prescription, but are now out of stock of the medication. This entire situation is ridiculously unnecessary and a massive waste of time, all because the receptionist provided us with completely incorrect information.

Triage form nightmare killed my patience

The service is utterly abysmal. The initial triage questionnaire is excessively complex, riddled with irrelevant and numerous questions that consume an unreasonable amount of time to complete. I've previously endured an illness simply to avoid dealing with this form. The physicians are equally disappointing, displaying minimal genuine interest in patient care. Their primary objective appears to be rushing through consultations, completely disregarding patient health and comfort. Even securing an appointment is a herculean task after navigating the convoluted triage process, with frequent text messages explaining why no appointment can be scheduled. It genuinely seems the entire system is deliberately designed to transform even the most straightforward medical request into an exhausting, drawn-out ordeal.

Endless waiting and missed health concerns

I had been a patient at this medical practice for more than five years. Despite consistently scheduling morning appointments, I invariably found myself waiting over an hour for the doctor to show up. The doctor never once apologized or provided any explanation for these consistent delays, which frequently caused me to be tardy for work. A female doctor recommended blood tests for us. It took an astounding 18 months just to secure an appointment and obtain the results. During the follow-up consultation, the doctor reassured me that everything was fine and never highlighted any concerns about the reports. A year later, I opted to consult a private physician, who immediately identified an issue in the blood test results—something that should have been addressed much earlier. When I attempted to discuss this with the original doctor, she responded with extreme rudeness and even suggested I file a complaint against her if I was unsatisfied. After squandering over two and a half years navigating these challenges, we no longer possessed the energy or motivation to pursue the matter further, ultimately deciding to switch medical practices.

Unhelpful staff at kings langley surgery

Since the pandemic, Kings Langley has significantly deteriorated. I've encountered staff who appear disinterested and unhelpful. This is a professional role, and after enduring a 15-minute phone wait, there's no acknowledgment or apology. Such behavior feels inherently disrespectful. We are living, breathing individuals with potential challenges navigating technology, not mere machines. It seems to me that medical practices have lost their human touch in the wake of covid. I am thoroughly disheartened by this experience.

Registration nightmare with no help

They cancelled my registration twice, even after I provided address verification, refused to offer further clarification, and then transferred me to a registration supervisor who abruptly ended the call. My simple goal was to obtain my routine prescription. The entire experience has been incredibly distressing. I'm not even surprised anymore. Previously, the same registration staff member reduced me to tears. Now I'm left without medication and without any explanation - just complete abandonment. The situation is truly appalling. I'm forced to chase down correspondence at an alternate address! This used to be such a wonderful medical practice. It's deeply disappointing, especially since Dr. Kerr is an exceptional, compassionate physician who has supported me through challenging periods. I genuinely feel that this registration staff member is deliberately targeting me. On top of everything else happening in my life, I absolutely do not need this additional stress.

Triage troubles at local gp practice

This medical center used to be fantastic, but two major issues have emerged: 1 - Infants younger than three months are still subjected to a triage system that leaves parents in uncertainty, potentially waiting hours before knowing if they'll secure an appointment. It's absolutely unacceptable! 2 The reception team at The NAP (KL location) remains excellent; however, their affiliated Long Meadow branch has staff who are discourteous and unhelpful. To make matters worse, they've now combined their call handling, compounding the problem.
