Frustrating telehealth experience with endless phone tag

I recognize the necessity of precautions during the peak of Covid. Yet, in-person consultations remain absent. Are we still required to endure this remote assessment process? This leaves us confined at home, waiting.... Doctors seem to forget we have our own schedules too. The phone call inevitably comes at the most inconvenient moment - precisely when you've stepped away, and then it rings four times. No callback means starting the entire frustrating process from scratch. It's time to restore face-to-face appointments, as other services have already done. I want to be clear that I'm not criticizing the actual medical treatment once contact is finally established.!!

Worst medical care in buckhurst hill ever

It's disheartening that residents of Buckhurst Hill are confined to this subpar medical practice. Despite COVID restrictions being lifted, the surgery continues to refuse in-person consultations (as confirmed by their receptionists). I've verified online that all practices are legally mandated to provide face-to-face appointments, so why is this place so problematic? My son's recent appointment was a nightmare - he experienced a severe penicillin reaction, with doctors at Kings Hospital contradicting each other's advice, one recommending he continue the prescription while the other advised against it. Ultimately, their utter lack of professional coordination forced us to spend last Friday evening in the emergency room.

Persistent doctor finally solved my medical mystery

Dr Lasker deserves top marks for her exceptional care. After more than a decade of being dismissed by other physicians, I finally found a doctor who truly listened and provided me with an actual diagnosis. She is incredibly skilled and compassionate. While I previously encountered discourteous receptionists, it seems the staff may have changed, as I've recently interacted with a wonderfully friendly and supportive front desk representative who went above and beyond to help me.

Frustrating registration and outdated medical practice

Their online platform is antiquated and practically impossible to complete registration for, with their so-called "online registration" being nothing more than a downloadable PDF document they incorrectly label as a form. I diligently printed the PDF and completed it in advance of my visit to the practice. Despite arriving before 1pm, the receptionist informed me they would not process my registration because they were closing at 1pm and claimed processing would take 15 minutes. Even though I had already filled out the form, I requested they simply scan my documents, but they flatly refused. I witnessed another patient who needed to make a payment, but the practice does not accept card transactions. When he suggested retrieving cash from his car, they initially declined due to imminent closure. However, when he confirmed the cash was in his vehicle, they surprisingly permitted him to retrieve it. The outdated website, refusal to accept modern payment methods, and their practice of shutting down for an extended midday period all demonstrate remarkably obsolete and inconvenient operational practices.

They consistently follow up with appointment scheduling and even offer phone consultations. Their approach is simply outstanding. Despite relocating from Buckhurst Hill, I was so committed to continuing with their practice that I requested a special arrangement with the management. Thankfully, they granted my request. I believe that says everything about their quality of care. I'm truly fortunate to have such an excellent general practitioner. Highly recommended!

The receptionist's customer service skills are abysmal. When I attempted to communicate with a doctor, I was curtly told no appointments were available, without even inquiring about the urgency of my situation. It's absolutely appalling. My recommendation is to replace this indifferent staff member who clearly lacks empathy. Everyone is under stress, and if I could rate lower than one star, I absolutely would.

Terrible hospital care left me suffering and broke

With the exception of the nursing staff, every other employee here lacks compassion. I was seeking proactive care and empathy concerning my medical condition. However, I was dismissed by negligent physicians, which led to a significant decline in my health and forced me to be unable to work for an extended period. Did they show any concern about my financial struggles, like my mortgage payments? Absolutely not! Their primary focus seemed to be preserving their government-funded bonus by avoiding hospital referrals - a truly disgraceful approach.
