Sent away without explanation or support

I would recommend considering alternative healthcare providers. During my visit, I felt the clinical assessment was not thorough enough for my concerns. I was advised to obtain my own equipment and manage the situation independently, without receiving clear guidance on how to proceed. When I contacted the practice to discuss my experience, I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously. I believe it would be beneficial to seek care from a practice where I feel more supported and properly evaluated.

Frustrating phone system for missed calls

Why is it not possible to speak with a doctor if you happen to miss a couple of calls during the day? Does someone's health matter less than the number of times you manage to answer the phone?

Receptionists were dismissive and condescending

I would not recommend this practice. While the clinical staff are excellent, the reception team's approach to patient interactions is disappointing. The manner in which some staff members communicate with patients seeking help falls well short of what should be expected.

Repeat prescriptions require unnecessary in-person visits

Generally satisfactory practice, though I've always found it frustrating that despite having administrative staff on site, I'm required to visit the surgery in person to submit a request form when I need repeat medication. Travelling isn't usually an issue for me, but it felt particularly inconvenient during periods of national restrictions when I was advised to minimise trips outside the home. I previously attended another local centre that closed several years ago, and they were able to arrange repeat prescriptions to be sent directly to my pharmacy by telephone.

Abrupt doctor left me feeling unheard

The experience was disappointing overall. Two stars reflects the positive interactions with nursing staff and one of the senior clinicians. The practice has two principal clinicians alongside visiting trainees. One senior clinician is excellent, however the other tends to redirect questions back to patients and can come across as curt. Following two months of ongoing discomfort, I was prescribed multiple medications without a clear diagnosis being established, which has not resolved the issue. I need to return for further assessment but feel reluctant due to concerns about how I might be received and the emotional impact of previous consultations.

Prescriptions left unattended on reception desk

Disappointing experience overall. Prescriptions were not processed as promised, and there appeared to be a lack of urgency in handling them. The reception area seemed disorganised, with prescription requests left unattended on the counter. The clinical consultations were frustrating, as the approach felt reactive rather than proactive, with limited investigation beyond what I could have researched myself.

The clinical staff, administrative team, and most of the nursing staff are excellent. There are a few individuals who can be challenging to deal with, but overall this is a brilliant practice.

Receptionists dismissive and prescriptions frequently incomplete

I would not recommend this GP practice to others. I felt there was a lack of attentiveness to patient needs, and I experienced issues with prescription accuracy, with essential items frequently omitted. On one occasion, I was unable to obtain a necessary medication and was advised to contact emergency services if I experienced breathing difficulties. Additionally, I found the reception staff to be unhelpful and dismissive in their manner.

Felt genuinely listened to at appointments

I have been a patient at this practice for many years, having registered since childhood when it was located at a previous address. Throughout my time here, I have been seen by several doctors, and I am very satisfied with my current physician. They are excellent, demonstrating understanding, kindness, and politeness in all interactions. They consistently take time to listen carefully to my concerns and provide prompt appointment availability. The entire team at the practice is brilliant and provides outstanding care.
