Patient feedback reveals a practice with significant operational challenges alongside pockets of excellent clinical care. Appointment access remains the most persistent concern, with patients reporting lengthy waiting periods ranging from weeks to months, phone lines that are difficult to reach during morning booking windows, and frustration with the transition away from online booking systems. Reception experience is mixed, with some patients praising courteous and helpful staff, while others describe dismissive, discourteous, or unhelpful interactions. Communication gaps are evident, particularly around appointment policies, prescription reviews, and follow-up procedures, leaving patients uncertain about next steps.
When patients do access clinical care, many report genuinely positive experiences. Doctors are frequently described as compassionate, attentive, and professionally competent, with several patients expressing particular appreciation for specific practitioners. Nursing staff are similarly praised for their warmth and skill. However, these clinical strengths are substantially undermined by the access difficulties that precede them. Patients express frustration that reaching this quality of care requires persistence and often involves multiple failed attempts to book appointments.
The practice appears to be struggling with capacity and organisational efficiency rather than clinical competence. Issues include insufficient staffing, problematic booking systems, and inconsistent responsiveness to patient needs. While some patients remain loyal and satisfied, others have chosen to transfer their care elsewhere, citing the appointment access experience as the deciding factor despite acknowledging the quality of the doctors themselves.

Bad!
Unprofessional receptionist ruins healthcare experience
I called the clinic today to inquire about my partner's prescription, and I'm absolutely appalled by the receptionist's unprofessional behavior!!! She essentially dismissed my request, coldly stating that it's not her concern that my partner works grueling 12-hour hospital shifts and that he should "find time" to call himself. She refused to give me a straightforward answer and was incredibly rude throughout our conversation. When I requested her name to file a complaint, she became even more evasive and wouldn't identify herself!! In my 18 years of professional experience, I would NEVER dream of speaking to a patient or their family member in such a disrespectful manner. I sincerely hope the practice manager will review the phone recording from Thursday, August 17th at 11:32am and address this unacceptable interaction.

Exceptional doctor who truly listens and cares
Called early this morning at 8 o'clock and was warmly welcomed by a delightful, helpful receptionist who scheduled me an appointment with Dr Kesar at 10:40. He's a wonderful doctor, incredibly meticulous and genuinely attentive, who carefully listened to my concerns, precisely understood my medical issue, and addressed it effectively. I'll absolutely request him for any future visits, even if it means waiting longer to see him specifically.

Exceptional doctor with compassionate patient care
During my recent visit with Dr. A Miah, I was once more impressed by his exceptional dedication to both myself and my infant. Without a doubt, he stands out as the most outstanding physician I've encountered at Kirkby primary care, which motivated me to share my experience. On both occasions, I've been struck by how attentively he listens and how thoroughly he strives to address my concerns, always making me feel valued and never hurried. I am genuinely grateful for the compassionate and high-quality medical attention he provides.

Worst medical service ever terrible communication nightmare
Dealing with this medical practice has been an absolute ordeal. The referral process was painfully slow, dragging on for months, and they managed to misplace the paperwork, forcing me to restart everything from scratch. Now, as I'm awaiting my results, they're claiming they haven't received any information from the hospital - despite being the ones who originally sent the referral. I'm having to personally contact hospitals and provide their own contact details because of their apparent incompetence. I'm so frustrated that I'm planning to switch doctors as soon as I get my test results, which are already three weeks overdue. I have zero confidence in their ability to handle even the most basic administrative tasks.

Compassionate doctor who truly listens and helps
I stopped by the clinic today and consulted with Dr Hussain. He was truly exceptional, comprehending my issue with remarkable clarity and demonstrating precise expertise in addressing my concerns. Dr Hussain provided an incredibly thorough explanation about the source of my pain, which was completely logical and enlightening. It was such a relief to have a direct, personal conversation and leave the surgery feeling genuinely optimistic and reassured. Huge thanks to Dr Hussain 👍🏽

Fantastic medical care with minimal waiting time
I went to the medical center for a blood draw and a physician consultation, scheduled back-to-back. The waiting period was perfectly reasonable, and the doctor was exceptionally compassionate, attentively hearing my worries and addressing my health matters with professionalism and expertise. After the consultation, I had a brief wait before a friendly nurse skillfully collected my blood sample. Overall, the entire experience was excellent, with high-quality care from beginning to end.

Frustrating service with impossible booking process
It's consistently challenging to schedule a time slot by phone. When I inquired, they directed me to their app with a promise of callback service. However, the app itself is now overwhelmed and non-functional due to the high volume of people seeking appointments, as the clinic has stopped offering in-person consultations.

Exceptional care and prompt medical support today
I rang the medical practice today, waited in a queue but chose their callback option, which worked perfectly. After describing my concern to the receptionist, I secured a same-day appointment. Dr Hussain was punctual and truly outstanding. His demeanor was warm and considerate, he carefully listened to my explanation and provided genuine reassurance. The level of care I received was exceptional, and I could not have been more satisfied with the entire interaction. My overall experience was absolutely first-rate.

Frustrating medical care for son's ongoing health issues
My 45-year-old son underwent surgery a few months back for a discolored leg. The physician ordered blood tests for a condition (which I hope I've spelled correctly), and the nurse attempted to contact him by phone four times. Each call went unanswered because he recognized the mobile number, so he requested they use our landline. Subsequently, they ceased all communication. On Saturday, June 3rd, I brought him to the emergency room due to bleeding from his navel. He received a blood test and awaited the results. The doctor informed him to consult his primary care physician on Monday for potential scans. Upon contacting his doctor, he was told no follow-up was necessary since the hospital had discharged him. Our family is deeply frustrated by this response. Considering he experienced two bleeding episodes - one in March and another on Saturday - while actively bleeding in a puddle before medical staff, this dismissive approach seems entirely inappropriate.

Bad!
Terrible healthcare service with endless waiting and uncertainty
This healthcare provider urgently requires a contract evaluation by its financial backers. They're solely focused on emergency services, neglecting comprehensive patient care and preventing individuals from effectively managing their health. Daily, there's chaos surrounding appointment scheduling, with most consultations conducted via telephone. I've endured weeks of waiting for a prearranged phone consultation with a physician, initiated after my test results. The communication has been vague, merely stating a potential afternoon call, likely after 4pm. This isn't a genuine appointment, but rather an imprecise window for potential contact. For someone struggling with mental health concerns or experiencing health-related anxiety, this approach could potentially exacerbate their condition. Despite claims of continuously reassessing their operational processes, absolutely no meaningful improvements have materialized.

Terrible customer service that drives me crazy
Completely worthless service - it's practically impossible to reach anyone by phone, and on the rare occasion you actually connect, the staff are either completely incompetent or incredibly discourteous.

Worst healthcare experience ever nightmare clinic
Attempting to secure a medical appointment has been an incredibly frustrating experience, with nearly four weeks passing and no resolution in sight. This healthcare facility's scheduling process is completely unacceptable and feels like an absolute disaster.

Frustrating appointments overshadow great medical care
The medical team is wonderful, but scheduling a consultation is incredibly frustrating. I frequently have to start dialing just before 8 AM to have any chance of securing an appointment. After enduring approximately 40 minutes on hold, I typically discover that all slots are already booked. The current booking process is inefficient and needs a complete overhaul, as it takes me several days of persistent effort to arrange what should be a simple two-minute phone conversation.

Frustrating telephone triage fails working patients
I'm baffled why this practice continues to rely on telephone triage when even hospitals are returning to standard operations. My husband works in a factory and can't constantly be tethered to his phone, waiting for a brief 5-minute call. When I attempt to inform the receptionists about his break times so he might actually answer, they're incredibly uncooperative, causing him to repeatedly miss these calls. While I understand doctors can't always provide exact appointment times, why not revert to the previous system where patients could schedule consultations at convenient times? Their current approach shows zero consideration for working individuals who have limited flexibility during the day.
