Absolutely Awful

I handed a letter in to the receptionist and told her I had been told to hand it in and she needed to scan it to my file….. letter went missing and it had my private details in but also it was just put straight back on to me to get a new one. I was also given a smear test by a trainee nurse, I was the first one ever I found out while there. I was never told before and just felt completely stitched up by the reception staff because the nurse who did it said I should have been told at the time of booking, this was also weeks ago and I still haven’t had the results back. I called today about these issues and got hung up on! O and if it doesn’t get worse, they have the wrong injection, I called three times to make sure I definitely needed it and the receptionist assured me due to my blood results I needed it, it wasn’t until I got a call from the doctor apologising later on and telling me I didn’t need it. This is also the same surgery that a few years ago they had to sack a receptionist for putting patients personal details on Facebook. I have no trust in the surgery and the receptionist are incompetent.

Fortunately, my test results came back clear, but I cannot praise the team enough for their professionalism. Unlike many stories of prolonged waiting times, this hospital consistently demonstrates quick triage and scheduling. Manchester Road's medical team has once again proven their commitment to outstanding patient service, leaving me completely satisfied with the care I received.

Quick and Helpful Medical Care

Couldn't find any problems with their rapid email reply and immediate scheduling. Compared to other medical practices, this one stands out as quite impressive. The only minor drawback is the limited online appointment booking hours of 8-4, though I imagine they have a reasonable explanation. Overall, truly exceptional service.

Appointment Scheduling Nightmare at This Practice

Securing an appointment feels like navigating a nightmarish bureaucratic maze. The receptionist essentially admitted that their convoluted scheduling process intentionally limits patient access, claiming a more straightforward method would overwhelm their capacity. So they deliberately complicate booking to restrict appointments? This is especially absurd given that the doctor, following a phone consultation, had specifically instructed me to schedule a follow-up. Utterly exasperated, I ultimately resorted to paying for a private general practitioner consultation - which suggests the surgery's approach somehow achieves its intended outcome?

Quick Response Saved My Day

I've consistently received exceptional care at this medical practice. Their new online booking system boasts impressively rapid response times, with follow-up phone calls arriving incredibly swiftly (sometimes within minutes, and always within hours) to schedule same-day or next-day doctor consultations. I genuinely cannot find a single fault with their service. The entire partnership makes me feel thoroughly supported and well cared for.

Broken Contact Form Drives Me Crazy

What's the purpose of a web-based contact system for administrative issues that's only available during strict office hours?! It would be absurd if I restricted work communication to only when I'm physically present at my workstation?! Completely ridiculous. When you actually manage to submit an inquiry and receive a reply (where the healthcare provider clearly hasn't thoroughly reviewed your message), you're then prevented from directly responding and must instead file an entirely new separate request - and even then, you must wait until the following morning at 9am. An utterly ineffective process, transparently constructed to prioritize the medical practice's convenience over patient needs - exactly the kind of poor service I've consistently experienced from this incompetent practice throughout the past decade.

Doctor Susan Reeves has provided exceptional care, and I'm incredibly grateful to her specifically, as well as the entire staff at Manchester Road, who have been supporting us throughout our two-decade association with the practice. The service surpasses even private healthcare.
