This is an exceptionally well-run and welcoming GP practice in the local area. During a recent appointment, I was seen by a clinician who thoroughly reviewed my ongoing medications and posed thoughtful questions about them. My previous practice had never conducted in-person reviews of my repeat prescriptions in this manner. Following a blood pressure reading that was elevated, I was advised to visit my local pharmacy for monitoring. The practice demonstrated impressive efficiency by promptly sending the referral and prescription to the pharmacy. I was able to collect my medications and arrange the monitoring within an hour of leaving the surgery. The coordination and speed of service were exemplary.

I have been registered at this surgery for over two decades since relocating to the area, and have subsequently had my spouse transfer their registration here as well as enrolling my two school-age children, who have been patients since birth. I have nothing but positive feedback for this surgery. Appointments are typically available on the same day or the following day, consultations run punctually, and the clinical staff demonstrate a welcoming demeanor alongside strong knowledge and approachability. The recent additions to the team have brought valuable specialist expertise in areas including dermatology and women's health, from which our family has benefitted considerably. The reception team also deserves recognition for their prompt call handling and consistently welcoming and flexible approach to patient requests. This standard of service is remarkably uncommon within the local area and across the wider UK.

Reception saved the day with medication crisis

Reception staff are very helpful and kind, but the clinician I saw was dismissive, rude and unhelpful when there was an issue with my application that meant I was at risk of running out of my medication. The reception staff managed to resolve it, but after that appointment I have moved.

I feel confident and well cared for in their hands. However, my experiences with another clinician have been quite different. Telephone consultations have been very brief, lasting less than a minute, and I've felt hurried through the call without the opportunity for detailed discussion or follow-up care. This contrasts significantly with the attentive approach I've experienced elsewhere at the practice.

This practice has been the finest healthcare provider I've experienced. I was apprehensive about registering with a GP in London, fearing they would be stretched thin, under significant pressure, and unable to dedicate proper attention to patients, and I worried that securing appointments would prove challenging. This practice is entirely different from those concerns! Most people voice grievances about their medical providers, so colleagues are often taken aback by how positive my experience has been and continues to remain. The practice demonstrates genuine care for its patients at every level—from the reception staff through to the clinical teams including nursing, pharmacy, and physiotherapy services. Obtaining an appointment has never been problematic. The staff consistently allocate sufficient time to hear your concerns and involve you in decisions about your care pathway. They make efforts to educate patients about how the body functions, utilising visual aids when appropriate. The practice proactively shares information about relevant educational sessions and community support options that might benefit you, such as workshops on specific health topics. The range of services available is impressive. Accessing specialist referrals when necessary is straightforward and uncomplicated. The practice sends appointment reminders and facilitates online booking. They actively follow up on outstanding tasks, ensuring that any required readings or routine checks are completed—there's accountability built into the system. The entire team provides thoughtful guidance whenever needed and maintains a warm, welcoming demeanor. They make a genuine effort to build relationships with patients, and visiting is genuinely enjoyable. Everyone demonstrates enthusiasm about seeing you. The standard of care here stands in marked contrast to other practices in the locality. This is an exceptional healthcare service.

This is a good surgery. The clinical staff are all very competent, with one practitioner in particular being excellent—very pleasant, welcoming, providing good care and demonstrating both professionalism and strong support. The reception team are also pleasant and welcoming.

Friendly staff let down by one rude receptionist

I have to say I've always had a pleasant experience here. Several members of staff have been phenomenal, one clinician provides what I'd call industry average patient treatment, the facility is clean and easy to access. The reception team have been helpful whenever I've called or visited previously. Why 1 star? Well, during a recent visit, a receptionist I hadn't encountered before was incredibly rude with an almost aggressive demeanour whilst speaking to me. I have to highlight she was only this way with me and not with other patients, and looked at me with what felt like disgust from the moment she saw me. I'm not sure why, as she wasn't in a bad mood generally because she was friendly to the patient who came in right after me. The differences in how I was treated compared to others were puzzling and left me feeling uncomfortable. I was totally perplexed by why she seemed to regard me with such disdain and confusion before I'd even approached the desk. I have to highlight that for me the GP surgery is otherwise 5 star; the 1 star is specifically for this receptionist's conduct. She should really reflect on the impression she gives to patients. I am not joking when I say her demeanour made me feel unwelcome, and she doesn't even know me. It's a very odd experience. It's not difficult to smile and show kindness to patients using your facility, especially when they're not there to see you but a clinician. Don't ruin people's experiences of using healthcare services because you do not know how difficult it is for some to access said services in the first place. Don't be a barrier to that.
