Went downhill fast with terrible attitude

I've been registered with this medical practice for three years and previously spoke very positively about it. However, over the past half year, the quality of service has dramatically declined. The staff have become incredibly discourteous, seemingly forgetting that most patients are not healthcare professionals and may not be familiar with medical procedures or frequently visit doctors. They consistently address patients condescendingly, making individuals feel foolish for simply seeking clarification or attempting to schedule appointments. Despite having family members in the medical profession who understand the current pressures facing the NHS, I find it unacceptable that staff are taking out their frustrations on patients. I urge them to reconsider their communication approach and remember the importance of treating patients with respect and empathy.

I have switched my medical care to Clarance medical centre, which is more accessible given my pain levels. They have actually listened to my needs and provided me with a ground floor doctor, unlike Lee house who consistently assigned me upstairs physicians despite my repeated requests for a ground floor consultation due to my constant pain. At Lee house, they would speak to me dismissively, almost implying I was some kind of drug-seeker, which I absolutely am not. They also failed to properly address my medication request queries, even when I proactively tried to understand when I could next request my prescription. The quality of care at Lee house has dramatically declined since doctors Moorer and Buruar left - they were exceptional practitioners who truly understood patient needs. If those doctors were still there, I would never have considered changing medical centres, as they were unquestionably superior in every way.

Appointments impossible with rotating student gps

Securing an appointment at this practice is an absolute nightmare. Although they claim appointments can be booked in advance, this is completely misleading. The practice rigidly enforces an extremely restrictive system where you must phone at specific times to obtain same-day appointments. Attempting to call during these designated times invariably results in being stuck in a phone queue, often unable to connect. Even when you finally get through, appointments are invariably fully booked, forcing you to repeat this frustrating and time-consuming process. Reception staff remain inflexible, insisting they will only accept calls at predetermined times and profess ignorance about doctor availability. Patient continuity suffers terribly because student doctors rotate extremely rapidly, meaning chronic illness sufferers must repeatedly reexplain their medical history to unfamiliar practitioners. The competence of these student doctors varies dramatically, and encountering an inexperienced or disinterested physician can render an entire consultation pointless until you see a more capable professional. Throughout the years, I've occasionally encountered exceptional student doctors who genuinely invest effort in understanding and treating patients. My current GP, Dr. Mehreen Khan, stands out as particularly compassionate and thorough, carefully considering my entire medical profile with genuine concern. Predictably, she is departing at week's end, meaning I'll be reassigned to yet another unknown student doctor. This constant medical carousel is fundamentally detrimental to patient care.
