Dr McKean actually listened to my foot

Following an initial unsatisfactory visit with another GP in September 2023 regarding a broken toe and metatarsal fracture that wasn't properly diagnosed, I returned to Lensfield Medical Center seeking a second opinion. Since I was experiencing significant pain and mobility issues, I requested an appointment with a different doctor. Fortunately, I was able to see someone urgently that same day. I was fortunate to be seen by Dr Ross McKean. He proved to be exceptionally diligent, genuinely warm and approachable, and made genuine effort to listen and thoroughly assess my foot without cutting corners. It was truly a wonderful experience! :-) Dr McKean arranged for me to receive priority X-ray imaging at Addenbrooks Hospital in Cambridge, which confirmed the fracture diagnosis :-( Since then, Dr McKean has checked in with me on two occasions and sent follow-up messages to discuss my treatment plan and monitor my recovery progress. I felt confident that I was receiving care from a highly skilled and compassionate physician who genuinely prioritized his patients' wellbeing—a quality that seems increasingly rare! I'm pleased to give Dr Ross McKean this glowing endorsement because he absolutely merits it. Dr McKean is among the finest doctors I've encountered. He demonstrates excellent clinical knowledge, genuine warmth, authentic concern, and meticulous attention to detail. He is a tremendous asset to Lensfield Medical Center, where I've been registered as a patient for nearly four years since relocating to Cambridge from Denmark, and I sincerely hope he continues his work there as a GP for many years to come :-)

Surprisingly, Lensfield Medical Practice's team, physicians, and administrative staff exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to ensure my care was comprehensive. Both Dr. Weatherstone and Dr Nasir provided excellent service during my consultations. They demonstrated genuine empathy and attentiveness, which made me feel supported throughout my visits. Although my condition hasn't been fully resolved, I'm confident that the treatment plan is progressing positively. The practice is a welcoming environment staffed by compassionate, attentive, and approachable professionals, and it's evident the facility is run efficiently. I've been a patient at Lensfield medical practice for over fifty years, dating back to the early 1970s. Throughout this time, I've consistently experienced compassionate, supportive, and competent care from every member of staff. The reception team promptly answers calls, and scheduling appointments has never been difficult. You all represent the very best of what the NHS stands for. I'm genuinely grateful for the excellent care and dedication you've shown me across these five decades.

After relocating to the UK from America, I must say this is undoubtedly the finest medical practice I could have chosen! The team members and medical professionals have shown exceptional kindness and demonstrated remarkable expertise. I completed my paperwork and obtained my NHS number within seven days! Just two days after that, I secured an appointment at 10:15. By 10:17, I was already in consultation with a physician! João stood out as particularly skilled, remarkably upbeat, and genuinely compassionate! When the chemist initially lacked my prescribed medication, the team responded with impressive efficiency and resolved the issue in mere moments! Within a handful of hours, I had received my medication. Absolutely outstanding! I would enthusiastically endorse them to anyone!

Dr Ford dismissed evidence to justify cruelty

Dr Ford demonstrates arrogance and a lack of authenticity, showing little commitment to patient welfare. He supports his unfounded opinions by misrepresenting research and fabricating evidence that bears no factual foundation, using these false claims to rationalize his dismissive and insulting conduct motivated purely by spite. He remains steadfast in his own viewpoint despite substantial contradictory evidence. This is why I have chosen to pursue formal legal action, as his approach to my care has occasionally felt deliberately harmful, particularly given that his persistent demands have directly worsened my health conditions. Do not expect acknowledgment of wrongdoing, as even his colleagues are cognizant of this behavior yet choose to protect the practice. Poor treatment standards within healthcare are unfortunately prevalent, and I strongly encourage others to report such incidents without hesitation, whether through formal complaints or by exploring their legal options.

Excellent care and support – our nearby school serves many international pupils, and during urgent situations, this practice consistently responds promptly. Unlike other medical clinics that have turned away these students due to their foreign status, the team at Lensfield demonstrates genuine helpfulness and compassion. We really appreciate it.

Got an appointment within three days

Visited on a Monday to sign up and was advised to book an appointment through their website, which I did right away. I received a text confirmation for an appointment scheduled for Thursday of that same week. Rescheduling was simple and convenient for my schedule. At my appointment, the doctor was genuinely caring and supportive. Overall, it was an excellent experience from start to finish.

Same-day responses through their online portal

Excellent medical facility. There's a convenient online system for submitting health concerns, requesting medications, or asking administrative questions. Responses typically arrive within sixty minutes, with prescriptions or appointments usually arranged the same day. In-person consultations are available when needed and have consistently been scheduled the same day as requested. The medical staff and healthcare professionals are exceptionally pleasant (with one exception whose name escapes me) and take their time with patients. The front desk team are equally welcoming. The main drawback is the lack of on-site parking—you'll need to pay for street parking on Lensfield Road, though this isn't the practice's responsibility. Registration was handled efficiently. Highly recommended without reservation.

Same-day appointment after registering as new patient

Excellent care and medical services provided by every team member, including phone staff, front desk personnel, and physicians. After recently moving to Cambridge, I registered as a new patient and was pleasantly surprised to receive a call scheduling an appointment with a doctor the very same morning I submitted my registration form and requested an online clinical review (the urgency may have been due to the nature of my health concern). The telephone and reception staff were courteous and accommodating. Dr P demonstrated attentive listening throughout my consultation, took my concerns seriously, and communicated his treatment approach in a transparent manner. I came away with an exceptionally positive experience that surpassed what I had anticipated.

Been here since 2015, the online system's great

I've been a patient here since 2015 and remain very satisfied with the care I receive. The introduction of their online platform and telehealth options during the pandemic has actually been a welcome improvement. While it's a bigger facility where you might see different doctors at different times, I actually prefer it this way since I can get matched with a specialist who's best suited to my particular requirements.

Alexandra kept calling me through the hard days

Revising my review once more. I want to express my gratitude to Lensfield for their attentive, compassionate and expert approach to managing my vertigo and Covid! I'm updating this review because nothing surpasses quality, dependable, empathetic and meticulous medical care. Of late, Lensfield's mental health support team has been in contact with me. I must say they are absolutely wonderful. Alexandra Davies from their mental health division has been consistently emailing, phoning and checking in on me. During moments when I've felt low and discouraged, she has offered guidance, shared helpful resources, maintained regular contact and listened to me. She demonstrates genuine concern for my wellbeing. She's even encouraged me to pursue my driving license and stayed on the call helping me complete the application. This is an exceptional service during these challenging lockdown periods. I'm deeply grateful to Alex and Lensfield for their support through this time. Lensfield operates as a hygienic, efficient practice. I had a wonderful experience with my previous GP but she has since relocated. She was outstanding. She supported me through severe depression, seizures, various infections and skin conditions. It's fortunate to have access to such a capable GP. The clinic still has GPs who demonstrate exceptional diligence and genuine helpfulness. They connect patients with beneficial programs and allocate sufficient time. It can feel uncomfortable when doctors seem irritated or dismissive about patient concerns. I noticed another review mentioning 'dismissive behaviour' - and yes, certain doctors can come across as rather off-putting at times. One doctor was particularly rude, patronising and upset my young son. He also declined to take his measurements and the scale was readily available. He insisted I schedule a separate visit for that! This same doctor has consistently been difficult to interact with. So your experience varies depending on your assigned doctor. I simply see the two doctors I find less approachable. Dr Ford, Dr Briggs and Dr Swift are exceptionally compassionate and skilled practitioners. Their assessments are comprehensive and detailed, and they all maintain ongoing attention to my care. They've arranged for nurses to administer my flu vaccination and conduct blood work, as I'm immunocompromised from cancer. I've received helpful resources from my doctor including relaxation techniques, exercises for spinal and bone health, and mental health resources. These have been tremendously beneficial! My 74-year-old mother, who has heart disease, is equally satisfied with her care and medical assessment. Following her angiography and stent placement, the clinic handled her case exceptionally well. The front desk staff are wonderful and consistently courteous. The facility is also immaculately maintained. I had a cervical screening with Nurse Raheal and it was excellent. She was incredibly considerate and explained each step. Having gentle, understanding professionals perform these procedures is crucial. My asthma nurse was also superb previously, though appointments have been harder to secure this year. My visits aren't scheduled too late and the ambient classical music creates a soothing atmosphere. They've also made thoughtful additions with children's magazines and books in the waiting area. I genuinely miss Dr Tucan who is no longer with the practice. She was an exceptional GP who truly followed up with her patients and displayed remarkable empathy. I'm updating this following a consultation with my doctor at Lensfield. Thanks to Lensfield, my breast cancer was identified at stage one. Following my diagnosis, Dr Ford thoroughly and clearly discussed my treatment options. During difficult times, this calibre of care is essential. I'm adding another update to acknowledge Lensfield's excellent post-cancer support. Consistent follow-ups, quality assessments and assistance managing post-cancer complications, including diabetes, skin conditions and joint pain, with treatments that have proven effective. Dr Swift, Dr Ford, the nursing staff and reception have all been supportive. The doctors, mental health professionals, nurses and receptionist I've mentioned all demonstrated outstanding, professional and considerate service. I've been a patient at Lensfield for three years and remain satisfied with their care even after relocating.
