Called in sick with covid, got attitude instead
I'm relatively new as a patient here and have generally had a wonderful experience with the staff - until this encounter. I'm seriously unwell with covid and when you reach out to your doctor, you're seeking comfort and guidance. While I can't identify the specific person, the receptionist who scheduled my phone consultation was incredibly rude, condescending, and left me feeling upset. She kept asking the same things repeatedly as though my answers weren't adequate, showed no consideration for my situation, and demonstrated a complete lack of compassion. My regular doctor is typically very kind, so I'm quite disappointed by this interaction. As someone employed by the NHS myself, I know this standard of care falls short of how we should be treating patients.

Cancelled my X-ray without even examining me
Skip this one. There are many superior medical practices available, and this isn't among them. The quality of care here is essentially non-existent. They accomplish virtually nothing. After 11 years as a patient, the past 5-6 years have been filled with excuses like "we lack the funding," "it will resolve naturally," "we'll refer you elsewhere" (with no follow-up), "we'll send you to someone else with months of waiting," and my personal favourite: "it's probably fractured, but since it's a small foot bone, radiology probably won't suggest a cast anyway, so it should heal itself." The final incident was a trainee doctor recommending an X-ray for my back and knee, only to have her supervisor cancel it without ever seeing me. They didn't even bother informing me they were scrapping the imaging I'd been promised because they were "too busy." Is this really acceptable to anyone? There are two underlying issues: 1. The NHS is in serious decline from chronic underfunding. 2. This practice has grown indifferent to care standards they provide. Likely poor leadership. Making clinical decisions about a patient based solely on a trainee's assessment—especially one you don't trust—is unprofessional and would constitute malpractice in many jurisdictions. This falls well below acceptable standards.

I can't speak highly enough about this clinic. Dr Ford is my physician, and he genuinely listens to what I have to say, shows real empathy, and demonstrates that he truly cares about his patients. The staff is always prompt with their responses, and I wouldn't dream of switching to another practice.

I've been a patient at this practice for 6 years and consistently enjoyed my time there. My female GP is quick and reliable, and on one occasion she gave me helpful advice over the phone and recommended a treatment that provided instant relief. When I've had to come in for sensitive examinations, the clinical staff demonstrated genuine compassion and professionalism, which helped ease my discomfort. The front desk team have consistently shown courtesy and warmth in all my interactions via email and telephone. They provide useful text reminders confirming your appointments. Additionally, they've always followed through on their promise to get back to me promptly.

I phoned my new GP surgery to inquire about my ultrasound findings. Throughout the call, the receptionist was giggling constantly. She claimed she was unable to locate the email address for my GP practice in Cherry Hinton and therefore couldn't forward the results. I ended up having to find the practice's email address myself and provide it to the receptionist, even though she mentioned she had it stored in her contact list already.

couldn't register this morning, they don't cover my area
Terrible ordeal. I attempted to sign up as a fresh patient by ringing ahead and informing them of my location. They instructed me to obtain some paperwork from their site, complete it, and bring it in to finalise my registration. I did exactly that—downloaded, printed, and filled out all the documents, then brought them in this morning since I urgently required an appointment with a doctor. Only then did they inform me they don't service my postcode!!!! Ironically, my housemate uses them as their GP!!! Apparently they've "altered their service boundaries". Complete waste of my time. This is a poor way to handle patients seeking urgent medical care. Now I'm stuck waiting until Monday to find another practice. Steer clear!!!

When I called the surgery at 10 a.m. seeking an urgent appointment due to a urinary tract infection causing significant pain, the receptionist was courteous and accommodating. Although same-day slots weren't available, she kindly arranged for the duty doctor to contact me promptly. Dr Goodhart called back within thirty minutes and demonstrated remarkable compassion and professionalism, offering practical advice to manage my discomfort and arranging for a prescription to be sent directly to my local pharmacy. I was able to pick this up that same morning and start treatment immediately, with my condition improving considerably within days. The practice's streamlined approach proved remarkably efficient, and I wanted to express my gratitude for being part of such a well-organised clinic with such excellent systems in place. This is an outstanding medical facility that deserves the highest praise. Over the past ten years, I've consistently received excellent treatment for various ailments, ranging from minor respiratory issues to ear infections, and they've handled every situation with expertise. The team members are welcoming and accommodating, the nursing staff is exceptional, and the physicians demonstrate genuine concern and attentiveness.
