Loudly broadcasting sensitive health inquiries in a crowded waiting area is a serious breach of patient privacy and basic medical etiquette. It's truly disappointing because the medical practitioners themselves are excellent. However, when the initial point of contact is this poorly managed, it inevitably casts a negative shadow over the entire practice's reputation.

Initially, I struggled to communicate effectively because of language difficulties. Recognizing this challenge, the doctor thoughtfully arranged for an interpreter to assist me. Within an hour, we arrived at the medical department. The receptionist was incredibly helpful, providing clear guidance and supplying us with the necessary test container. When we met the doctor, I was impressed by her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. She conducted all required tests thoroughly and offered comprehensive recommendations. The entire experience was exceptionally positive and reassuring. I am truly grateful for the outstanding care and support we received!

Worst gp practice ever terrible healthcare experience

If I could give no stars I would. From the moment I relocated and registered with this medical practice after childbirth, it has been nothing short of a nightmare. I've experienced multiple general practitioners, and I can definitively state this is THE MOST TERRIBLE practice I've ever encountered. You must be extremely precise when explaining your symptoms to the receptionist, or the medical staff will force you to reschedule without providing any actual assistance, despite lengthy waiting periods. Appointments are frequently scheduled incorrectly, resulting in three-week waits that ultimately lead to nothing. Consequently, I now rely on calling 111 for most medical concerns since this practice offers minimal support. Resolving a single health issue requires consulting 2-3 doctors, as they seem incapable of handling comprehensive care. I'm switching practices because I desperately want to restore my faith in healthcare. Having a GP this incompetent is emotionally draining, and accessing basic medical care should not be this complicated! If you value your mental well-being and healthcare, I strongly advise seeking alternatives. The entire staff, including doctors, nurses, and reception, urgently require additional training and empathy towards patients. (A male mental health nurse even suggested my anxiety and depression were imaginary, claiming one can simply will themselves better because "people nowadays want to be sick"!) Seriously, AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS.

I acknowledge missing a telephone appointment was my error, but they provided zero notification about its timing. While there was a date mentioned for their call, I didn't anticipate it would happen within an hour of submitting my e-consultation. When I attempted to reschedule, the receptionist casually mentioned they typically send a text alerting patients about imminent calls. Seeking an emergency appointment due to worsening symptoms, despite having a scheduled consultation later in the week, I encountered another dismissive staff member. She repeatedly emphasized my missed appointment, insisting they don't send reminder texts and that I should have been prepared for an unexpected call. Her confrontational attitude was particularly distressing when I'm already feeling unwell and emotionally vulnerable. This medical practice desperately needs to overhaul their telephone consultation procedure. The complete lack of clear communication and scheduling specifics is unacceptable, and while I now understand their process, the entire experience has been fundamentally unfair and unprofessional.

Worst customer service ever unprofessional receptionist

Some guidance for the chatty receptionist (assuming that's her actual name): when a patient asks a question you can't answer, place them on hold and consult a colleague rather than abruptly ending the call. Honestly, get it together, and if you're this unhappy in your role, consider finding alternative employment. There's no reason to spread your bad attitude to others. If the rating system allowed a score lower than the minimum, I would absolutely choose it.
