This establishment deserves the lowest possible rating - absolutely terrible. They botched my father-in-law's death certificate, and their customer service is a complete nightmare. Every single time I attempt to contact them, I'm informed they're fully booked and told to call back later or the next day. I've spent three consecutive days trying to secure an appointment or speak with someone, and I've gotten nowhere. After waiting an entire hour in the queue, I was dismissively told that their phone lines have been open since 8:30am - which, ironically, is exactly when I started calling to schedule an appointment. Terrible medical practice with rude receptionists
Absolutely appalling service!!! Their proclaimed ethos and principles on their website are completely hollow. They claim to be courteous and patient-focused, but my experience couldn't be further from that! I attempted to request a prescription repeat, which the doctor had previously suggested I do via an appointment. To streamline the process, I called to request the repeat, only to be rudely accused by the receptionist of attempting to manipulate the system. When she insisted I would have to wait and follow their strict process, I tried explaining my intentions were to save time, but she became even more defensive. She then point-blank refused to provide her name and suggested I file a formal complaint. This is my second negative encounter with this practice in just six months! Without doubt, this is the most unprofessional and discourteous receptionist I've ever encountered. They preach about not tolerating patient abuse, but ironically, their staff should be held to the same standard! I'm skeptical they'll genuinely review the call and improve their communication. Update... After writing to the Surgery Manager (the only permitted contact method), she called once, left no message, and made no further attempt to reach me! I had no means to call back. Subsequently, I received a letter stating an investigation was underway. Given the overwhelmingly negative reviews, I'm highly doubtful this will result in any meaningful change. Their management approach clearly explains the surgery's terrible reputation.

Attempting to contact them via phone has repeatedly resulted in wait times exceeding thirty minutes, and the staff answering calls consistently display an unhelpful and discourteous attitude. We've even experienced being abruptly disconnected while seeking urgent medical attention for our infant! My husband, who has type 1 diabetes, encounters substantial challenges when trying to obtain essential insulin and continuous glucose monitoring prescriptions. While the in-person staff are undeniably pleasant and competent, the process of scheduling an appointment or simply establishing phone communication is incredibly frustrating. The overall experience is simply not worth the stress and inconvenience.

Why, in this modern era, are staff taking an entire hour for lunch and completely shutting down the surgery daily? It's an absolutely inefficient use of resources. After reviewing other feedback, it seems over 95% of patients are extremely frustrated. When will the management and physicians of this practice start genuinely prioritizing patient care and actually listen to patient concerns? It's high time this surgery underwent a thorough investigation, with patients directly consulted about their experiences and perspectives. What an absolute farce of a medical practice.... I was placed on a waiting list two months ago for an implant procedure. Two weeks back, I was told I was next in line for scheduling. On Tuesday midday, I missed their call due to work and attempted to call back during my lunch break, spending 20 minutes on hold during my brief half-hour lunch. I tried three times that afternoon with no success. Wednesday's attempt revealed the slot was now fully booked. I explained to the receptionist that I was working when they originally called and argued that being at the top of a two-month waiting list should guarantee a saved appointment slot for working patients. Their response? Completely dismissive. This surgery is abysmal - constantly pushing e-consultations, sending contradictory emails about booking and doctor callbacks, with reception insisting their system shows conflicting information. I haven't seen my doctor in a year, not since having my baby. I've complained twice and received nothing but "it is what it is" responses, continually blaming COVID. Utterly let down by this medical practice. They've been unavailable for four consecutive days, and when I finally got through, I was left waiting endlessly, only to have the receptionist abruptly terminate the call when I attempted to articulate my concerns. This level of service is completely unacceptable. I contribute financially to the NHS through my taxes, so it's not a complimentary service for me. Quay medical needs to significantly improve their approach.

If you're seeking a medical practice, steer clear of this one. Since my enrollment in September, they've been perpetually understaffed. The reception staff interrupt and talk over patients during phone calls, and they blindly push their cumbersome, unintuitive online system as the primary communication method, even when it's clearly unsuitable, despite patients being crystal clear about their specific needs. When the staff aren't talking over you, they're simply discourteous. As a type 1 diabetic, I've experienced complete neglect. Whenever I reach out with any medical concern, their response is consistently rude, dismissive, and utterly ineffective. Without a doubt, this is the most incompetent general practice I've ever unfortunately been registered with.
