If you are considering registering at this practice, it may be worth exploring other options, as the management seems ineffective and the overall operation feels disorganised with processes that do not function as they should. Attempting to secure an appointment is problematic, with lengthy waiting queues being the norm rather than the exception. This appears to be standard procedure at this practice. Based on this experience, the practice ranks among the least satisfactory in the local area.

I experienced significant difficulty reaching the practice by phone. After waiting for an extended period with an automated system indicating I was next in the queue, the call disconnected unexpectedly. This appears to be a recurring issue that makes it very challenging to make contact with the surgery. My family member requires urgent medication and I have been attempting to reach the practice repeatedly over several working days without success. As a result, I am now considering contacting alternative services, though they will not have the same familiarity with my family member's medical history as the practice would.

The phone system needs improvement, and online services are quite limited compared to what other practices offer. It's disappointing that more digital options aren't available given current standards. I experienced a prolonged issue that required multiple appointments over several years before it was properly addressed. Several consultations took place remotely with varying approaches to treatment, and it wasn't until I requested an in-person appointment that progress was finally made and the matter began to resolve.

Impossible to reach the practice by phone

Absolutely terrible. I've been registered here for many decades. Now it's impossible to get through and if you eventually do manage to reach someone they disconnect the call. The online system never works either. Very very poor.

Phone lines keep cutting off mid-call

The telephone system continues to be problematic......... This really needs to be addressed as it's been an ongoing concern for quite some time. When holding in the queue, calls are disconnected just as you reach the front, and if you request a callback, the line drops when you answer. This is frustrating enough that I'm seriously considering switching to a different practice. If there are difficulties managing a basic call system, it does raise questions about the reliability of the service overall.

Phone system keeps cutting calls off mid-queue

The telephone system is extremely frustrating. Although it indicates availability from 8am, calls made at 10am are answered with a message about an "intelligent call system" before being disconnected, either immediately or after waiting approximately 45 minutes to reach the front of the queue. Additionally, the online consultation service is currently showing as unavailable until the following day, which is disappointing. When contact is eventually established with the clinical team and support staff, they are excellent and helpful, but unfortunately these successful interactions seem to be becoming increasingly uncommon.

It is very difficult to reach the practice by telephone, and there are occasions when speaking directly to someone is necessary rather than relying solely on online services. The practice has repeatedly indicated they would address this problem, but improvements have not materialised. It appears the practice may be operating beyond its current capacity in terms of patient numbers.

Phone queue system leaves patients hanging

The telephone appointment booking system in the mornings is extremely frustrating. I have called on multiple separate occasions and experienced lengthy waiting times in the queue. On several instances, when I have finally reached the front of the queue, the call has been disconnected. Upon calling back repeatedly, the same issue has occurred. This is very disappointing. The reception team would benefit from additional training or support to manage incoming calls more effectively and ensure patients are not disconnected after extended wait times.

I have been a patient at this practice for many years and have consistently had a positive experience. When I have difficulty reaching the surgery by phone, the callback option has always worked reliably for me. Whenever I have needed appointments with clinical staff or allied health professionals, these have been accommodated without difficulty, and any necessary onward referrals to secondary care have been arranged smoothly. Additionally, my repeat medications have always been available for collection at the pharmacy when needed.
