Throughout my time here, the staff have consistently been excellent - always accommodating, highly competent, and providing top-notch care. The entire team has been incredibly supportive, and I'm truly disappointed about having to find a new practice.

Even when positioned near the front of the queue, customers can inexplicably find themselves waiting upwards of 40 minutes. This becomes particularly frustrating given how quickly the receptionists seem eager to terminate calls, suggesting either a fabricated queuing system or deliberate phone avoidance - a behavior that has been directly observed multiple times in their physical office.

It would be immensely helpful if they could provide clear guidance about which extension corresponds to specific appointment types before requiring such lengthy waits. While they claim to have an online booking system, the registration process is paradoxical - you must register in person at the surgery, which defeats the entire purpose of online booking. Waiting periods to see a general practitioner can stretch beyond a fortnight. I want to emphasize that I don't hold the staff or the medical practice responsible for these frustrations. It's evident that systematic underfunding by government administrations has progressively eroded the quality of healthcare services.

Nhs rollercoaster of medical mayhem and hope

It's an absolute emotional whirlwind here. And yes, my devoted online followers might try to track me down through this review. Except they can't. They're the type who enjoy Star Trek Picard, so their intellectual capacity is as weak as a soggy marshmallow. We're all aware the NHS is desperately under-resourced (read: broke) so when you actually visit, you typically only do so when you believe death is imminent. The reality is, you'll be dismissed - this is one of those clinics you read about in sensationalist articles where they might tell a patient they've been pregnant for 28 months and somehow missed the fact they swallowed a tyre. Let's discuss the three stars, shall we? I've encountered three doctors here: The first was an older gentleman who shows minimal interest in patient testimony or scientific diagnostic approaches (instructing deep breaths and acting thrilled when oxygen saturation hits 100%, as if everyone breathes perfectly at home) and once, after experiencing rectal bleeding, not for the first time and I'm deadly serious, his only response was "you've put me in a somewhat challenging situation." Really, Doc? I'm experiencing bloody stools and I'm meant to be concerned about your professional reputation? Is it truly so difficult to refer me to the colonoscopy specialists? There's also a female practitioner who practices such extreme pessimism that her bedside manner screams nihilism. She'd likely perform trepanning if it weren't illegal. If it were merely frowned upon, she'd have the power drill ready before you could argue that headaches aren't caused by demonic possession. The saving grace, and I genuinely mean grace, of this practice is Dr. Barrett. She embodies compassion, empathy, and willingly refers patients to specialists. She was the sole physician who genuinely listened and supported my wife when she needed assistance, and has helped me numerous times as well. Other doctors will dismiss you, avoid thorough work, and hope you don't return. If you're considering registering here and Dr. Barrett has departed, I strongly recommend exploring private healthcare alternatives.

I attempted to contact the clinic to schedule a stitch removal appointment. Initially, I waited 10 minutes to reach a receptionist who then transferred me to another department's line. After 14 minutes with no response, I repeated my calls multiple times, each attempt lasting 10-12 minutes without anyone picking up. The automated message claiming "your call is important to us" felt like a cruel joke. The service was shockingly poor and unprofessional. Patients clearly merit a much higher standard of care. There appears to be zero quality management or responsibility, which completely erodes any confidence in this medical practice. One can only speculate about the potential unseen consequences for patients subjected to such negligence.

Compassionate care from a dedicated doctor today

The initial contact process was somewhat sluggish today, yet I was presented with options for either an in-person meeting or a phone consultation. I selected a face-to-face appointment and was promptly scheduled with Dr Gohal for 11am on the same day. Prior to our consultation, Dr Gohal carefully reviewed my medical background and then conducted a comprehensive physical examination, ultimately prescribing antibiotics and a nasal spray. Dr Gohal demonstrated exceptional professionalism and immediately helped me feel comfortable and relaxed. The medical personnel and administrative team are incredibly dedicated, working diligently despite the numerous challenges confronting our cherished National Health Service!

Terrible medical practice with unprofessional staff nightmare

I'm hesitant to award this medical practice even a single star, as it truly doesn't merit that much. To anyone considering this surgery center, I strongly advise against it - you will undoubtedly be disappointed. The practice manager is completely ineffective and consistently fails to return calls. She blindly supports her staff's dishonesty, particularly a specific staff member whom I'm describing objectively, not prejudicially, as I share a similar ethnic background. The manager shows zero interest in hearing patients' perspectives, despite my having concrete documentation proving this staff member's false statements. I meticulously documented everything to protect myself. These doctors are fundamentally untrustworthy, unhelpful, and the entire practice deserves to be shut down immediately!!!

I received outstanding care from Lister House and Jade Pharmacy recently. During my Thursday visit, I was able to secure an immediate in-person consultation without any delay, and I received my necessary medication shortly after, in just a quarter of an hour. Later that same day, my standard prescription arrived precisely one day after I placed my online order. This morning, I got my flu vaccination, and the entire process at the surgery was incredibly swift and efficient. My sincere appreciation to their team!

Terrible medical care that failed me completely

Absolutely worthless. They persistently prescribed medications that provided zero relief. I've been battling a foot infection for more than 12 months. There was a brief period of improvement, but that was solely due to my own intervention. My personal solution was extremely painful. If they had simply paid attention to my concerns, this could have been resolved much earlier.
