I've repeatedly attempted to secure medical appointments, but without success. The front desk staff consistently redirects and complicates the process. I've invested nearly three hours across multiple phone calls trying to schedule a consultation. Even visiting the clinic in person to understand their appointment system yielded no results. Despite being instructed to call at 8:30am, I still cannot obtain an appointment. At this point, I'm left wondering how one can actually book a consultation. The service is absolutely abysmal.

Terrible healthcare service that fails patients completely
Hands down, this is the most abysmal medical practice I've ever encountered. Attempting to schedule an appointment means enduring an endless phone queue starting at 8:30am, only to be informed hours later that no slots are available. It's utterly ridiculous. They desperately need to expand their medical staff. Additionally, their insistence on telephone consultations instead of in-person appointments is completely useless. What's the purpose of contributing to the National Health Service when the care provided is so substandard? The facility itself is equally disappointing. The premises appear antiquated and worn, and their parking area is woefully inadequate. I cannot possibly recommend this surgery to anyone.

Completely useless healthcare provider. I've been with them for a quarter-century, and securing a medical consultation has always been an uphill battle. Currently, I've been attempting to schedule an appointment for a full month without success. I even went through NHS 111 to book a slot, yet they failed to contact me at the designated time. When I followed up to understand why, they promised a callback between 5-6pm, but predictably, they let me down again. The staff's attitude is beyond unacceptable - they are consistently and remarkably discourteous.

Terrible service nearly cost me my life
This medical practice is absolutely abysmal. Securing an appointment is nearly impossible. On the 24th, no physicians were available, and I was instructed to either call back the next day or schedule a consultation for February 8th. I sarcastically remarked to the receptionist that I might be deceased before that date. Tragically, my condition deteriorated, and I lost consciousness, requiring emergency hospitalization. I am urgently seeking to transfer to a different general practitioner immediately.

This surgical practice is absolutely dreadful! Steer clear if you're considering them - seek alternatives immediately! Every single medical professional I've interacted with, whether by phone or in person, provides zero assistance whatsoever. Despite being told I'd receive a callback regarding my test results after referral examinations, they consistently fail to contact me, even for concerning findings. I've been forced to repeatedly follow up, enduring endless hold times of at least an hour each attempt. The level of medical care is non-existent. I was even subjected to watching one of the general practitioners simply Google NHS website exercises - something I'm perfectly capable of doing myself from home. This practice is so appalling that it doesn't even merit a single star rating, but I'm required to select something.

Lister House Surgery turns a new leaf
For a while, it was evident that the service at Lister House Surgery had deteriorated significantly. Nevertheless, I recently had to interact with the practice and was pleasantly surprised to encounter new healthcare professionals who gave me ample opportunity to discuss my issues and provided suitable medical care. Called at 8:30 am and spent 35 minutes on hold just to schedule an appointment. When I finally got through at 9:10, I was told they were completely full for the day. Incredibly frustrating. I'm perplexed that with 22 people ahead of me, the clinic apparently only sees a handful of patients daily. The staff were unhelpful and dismissive 😒

Terrible service except for one caring receptionist
1.3 seems generous. An even lower rating would be justified. The current front desk staff are completely ineffective, with Celia being the sole exception who provides any real assistance. Attempting to schedule an appointment via phone is an exercise in frustration, consistently resulting in endless hold times and abrupt disconnections. The way patients with mental health concerns are handled while trying to manage their medication is utterly unacceptable.

Worst healthcare experience ever rude and unprofessional
If I could assign a rating lower than the minimum, I absolutely would. The most horrendous practice I've ever encountered, without a doubt. First off, the receptionist was incredibly discourteous, displaying zero professional etiquette. Utterly disrespectful! Getting an appointment was an endless struggle, only to be told someone would eventually contact me. Great. A supposed nurse called, and when I detailed my health concerns, she simply suggested taking paracetamol, which I had already explained doesn't help. After considerable back-and-forth, these so-called nurses finally scheduled a blood test. Following our discussion, I politely requested her name. She shared it and then brazenly told me to contact management and file a complaint if I wished, before abruptly ending the call. I was devastated by the experience. These are supposedly healthcare professionals meant to support the community, yet they seem more intent on undermining our well-being and potentially causing further harm.

Absolutely terrible surgical experience... personnel were discourteous, completely lacking empathy for patients. Previous complaints went absolutely nowhere. I'm utterly bewildered about where to even report such unacceptable treatment. While I acknowledge the medical team's efforts during the pandemic, establishments like this seem to exploit those circumstances as a shield against accountability. Having been a patient here since birth, I can confidently say the practice has deteriorated dramatically and should honestly consider shutting down completely. The legendary doctors from decades past - Dr D'Silva, Nichol, O'Dong, and Yanny - would be appalled to see the current state of what was once an exceptional medical facility. The reception staff are incredibly discourteous, consistently refusing to schedule appointments and robotically instructing patients to call back at precisely 08:30 the next day. When you attempt to call at 08:25, the lines are inexplicably closed. At 08:30 sharp, the phone lines become suspiciously congested, leaving patients trapped in seemingly endless hold queues with zero information about their waiting position. They desperately need to upgrade their call management system! Even after enduring prolonged waiting times, all appointments are inevitably booked, and patients are callously redirected to call back the following day, perpetuating this infuriating cycle, or simply advised to contact 111.
