Quick healing for my nasty toe cut

I've been attending the medical clinic for about a fortnight due to a severely wounded big toe, which I accidentally injured by stepping on a glass fragment while swimming. The staff immediately took a culture, which confirmed the infection was septic, and promptly prescribed antibiotics. I've been returning regularly to have the wound dressing changed every couple of days. I'm extremely satisfied with their professional approach and would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire medical team for their excellent care.

Frustrating wait for a simple booking

The employees are wonderful, but securing a timeslot is incredibly challenging, if not impossible. Following their online booking procedure proves equally futile, as available appointments are consistently scheduled a full month out.

Very disappointing

There has been a couple of very good people I have seen at the surgery over the last decade or so, but things are going downhill fast. On the whole I find the attitude condescending, especially from the administration staff. Communication is very poor. Despite having several serious conditions and taking a large number of prescription medications I have not been offered a face to face appointment with a GP for the last 6 years. I tend to avoid telephone appointments, even when I know I need them, as I find it difficult to describe symptoms over the phone. If I had a choice of surgery I would change but Lister House is the only accessible offering in the area so have to stay with them.

I noticed how Alison, the receptionist, extended the same level of genuine care and consideration to every single patient who walked through the door. Triage system turned this surgery upside down

This medical practice used to be exceptional during Dr Trepess's era, consistently earning a 5-star rating even in their previous location. However, since the management change, the quality has dramatically declined. Their triage system involving call-backs is incredibly frustrating - patients can spend hours waiting for a return call, which could be critical for those needing urgent medical attention. The practice no longer offers continuity of care, with patients constantly seeing different doctors and losing the benefit of a consistent medical relationship. The reception staff frequently come across as dismissive and unhelpful, making patients feel like an unwelcome interruption. While the actual medical professionals (doctors and nurses) remain competent, the overall experience is significantly compromised by the inefficient appointment process and poor customer service. If they were to improve their scheduling system, I'd rate them 3 stars, and with better receptionist training, they could potentially reach 4 stars.
