Patient feedback reveals a sharply divided experience at this practice, with reception and administrative processes emerging as consistent pain points. Many patients report difficulties with appointment booking, lengthy waiting times, and reception staff rudeness, alongside complaints about outdated communication methods and poor phone accessibility. Administrative inefficiency, including repeated requests for previously submitted documentation and problematic prescription renewal processes, features prominently across reviews.
Conversely, several patients praise the medical professionals for compassionate care, thorough examinations, and responsive service, with some highlighting quick appointment access and efficient test coordination. The practice demonstrates notable inconsistency: while some patients report receiving same-day responses through the e-consult system and appointments within days, others describe being unable to reach the surgery by phone or facing multi-week waiting periods. Communication barriers and access difficulties appear particularly acute for vulnerable patients, including those with digital literacy challenges or complex health needs. A subset of patients expresses strong satisfaction with clinical care quality and staff courtesy, suggesting service quality varies significantly depending on individual circumstances and which staff members patients interact with.

Pandemic Neglect Led to Awful Procedure
Awful medical procedure. Exploiting COVID-19 as a pretext to avoid providing proper care.

Rude Receptionist Ruined Our Healthcare Experience
We've encountered multiple unpleasant interactions at this medical practice, primarily due to an exceptionally discourteous front desk staff member, which has ultimately led us to seek care elsewhere. In the most recent incident, she dismissed my pregnant wife's request for a flu vaccination, claiming it was "excessively complex" and suggesting she consult her midwife or visit a pharmacy. Even the midwife was taken aback, as they do not administer flu shots. My advice is to avoid this surgery and find a healthcare provider that genuinely prioritizes patient care and support.

Rude Receptionist Made Me Cry at Doctor's Office
The receptionist at this place is absolutely terrible, displaying an incredibly unpleasant attitude. Her manner of questioning and interaction made me feel deeply uncomfortable, especially since I'm not someone who frequently visits the doctor and only call when it's a genuinely serious matter. She was demanding that I speak up louder, but I was feeling too ill to raise my voice. She then started criticizing me, questioning why I was at work if I was so sick. Her behavior was so harsh that she reduced me to tears, making me feel completely worthless and vulnerable. How can someone be so cruel when a person is already in a fragile state?

Frustrating Wait and Repeat at Local Surgery
Experiencing ongoing frustrations with the medical practice's administrative processes. Reception repeatedly requested documentation I had already submitted and previously verified. Prescription refill requests are consistently problematic. Appointment scheduling is challenging, with typical wait times extending to two weeks. There's no option for walk-in consultations. When I finally secured an early morning slot, the physician arrived tardy due to transportation complications. Vaccination scheduling for travel purposes requires a minimum eight-week lead time. The lack of alternative general practitioner options in this locality compounds these difficulties.

Swift Care at Little Chalfont Surgery
I could not have asked for a better experience. Two weeks ago, I visited the GP, who promptly referred me for a colonoscopy. Within three days, I had an appointment at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, where a comprehensive examination was conducted and a colonoscopy scheduled for a later date. A week later, I underwent the procedure and received written results immediately. Today, during my GP visit, she arranged both a urine test and blood test on the spot. Despite having top-tier private healthcare for twenty-two years, I have never encountered such exceptional care and efficiency as I have at this surgery. Heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Little Chalfont Surgery!

Horrible Phone Wait and Rude Receptionist
The receptionist at this establishment is arguably the most incompetent I've encountered. I needed an urgent appointment, and even though it was well beyond their standard operating hours, I was forced to wait on hold for over thirty minutes before anyone answered. Frustrated, I decided to visit in person, and when I voiced my complaint about the prolonged wait time, I was met with an incredibly dismissive and hostile retort: "We're swamped, what's your issue?" While I generally have respect for front desk personnel, this interaction was completely unacceptable. Additionally, the appointment process is complicated, requiring patients to first familiarize themselves with the available doctors and then attempt to schedule with their preferred physician, which isn't always possible at a convenient time.

Rude Staff Hung Up on Me Four Times
I attempted to contact the Health center this afternoon and was met with repeated disconnections, being hung up on 4 separate occasions. The service is completely unacceptable, especially when I'm seeking critical medical help.

Impossible to Get Seen When Needed

Quick Care on a Hectic Monday Morning
During the peak hours of a hectic Monday morning, I requested an urgent consultation, and they swiftly scheduled me with a GP in just 20 minutes. While examining me, the doctor thoughtfully inquired about my husband's health. Upon learning that my husband was also running a fever, the GP immediately contacted him and advised him to come to the clinic right away. My husband was seen by the doctor promptly, within 20 minutes of the call. Could we possibly ask for better service? This truly is a top-tier medical practice!

Missed Diagnosis Left Me Frustrated
I acknowledge that the front desk staff are exceptionally accommodating, but there's one specific doctor whose demeanor is incredibly condescending and unhelpful. Ultimately, I was forced to seek a private physician who promptly identified oral thrush - a condition completely overlooked by my original GP. I believe I'm entitled to both an apology and medical care from a doctor who genuinely pays attention to my health concerns and performs appropriate examinations.

Dr. Bajwa's compassionate call saved the day
Exceptional care. Dr. Bajwa personally reached out to address a sensitive issue. He approached the matter with thoughtfulness and empathy, avoiding hasty judgments. I genuinely felt his sincere concern. Much appreciation.

Rude Receptionists and Dismissive Doctors
My encounter has been entirely unsatisfactory. After merely twelve months, I've decided to switch practices due to continuous issues. My previous surgery was far superior, always professional and supportive. The Little Chalfont surgery is characterized by discourteous and unhelpful front desk staff, with a Practice Manager equally lacking in compassion. They appear to discriminate against patients with financial constraints. When I experienced potential whiplash, they demanded payment for consultation, which both ambulance paramedics and 111 operators found outrageous. They even refused to provide a prescription for my son's illness, instructing me to purchase medication privately, despite my eligibility for free prescriptions - a stance that shocked pharmacy personnel. Furthermore, they've declined to refer me to a specialist regarding a growing facial growth, suggesting I must pay for removal. I'm increasingly concerned about what medical conditions they might subsequently refuse to address for myself or my children. Dr. Brown represents the sole exception among an otherwise arrogant and dismissive medical team who consistently keep patients waiting without apology. Their conduct is utterly disgraceful. Patients would be wise to seek alternative care, with Highfield Surgery in Hazlemere offering significantly superior service.
