Good doctors let down by reception staff

Five years on and this remains an outstanding practice, with an excellent clinical team! It is unfortunate that the same level of service cannot be extended to the unhelpful, unwelcoming and dismissive attitude displayed by a member of the front desk team this morning! Fortunately, I was raised to conduct myself professionally, otherwise you would have heard some frank feedback about the reception experience, which fell well short of expectations! Recognised as one of the leading practices in the region and the reasons are evident! PRACTICE HOURS BELOW. Exceptional clinical and support staff who consistently make patients feel comfortable and provide assistance wherever they can! Would thoroughly recommend! Practice hours are: Monday to Friday 8.30 am - 10am and 4.30 pm - 6pm, with the exception of Thursday afternoons when the practice is closed.

This practice has excellent clinicians and a wonderful team overall. One particular clinician stands out as exceptional compared to others I have encountered. They consistently go above and beyond for their patients and demonstrate genuine care. Beyond their strong medical knowledge, they show remarkable compassion and understanding. This individual appears to be truly special and valued by those around them. They approach their work with professionalism and efficiency, and when they cannot directly assist, they take the time to guide patients toward appropriate care elsewhere. I have complete confidence in their clinical judgement and would encourage them to continue their approach. All the clinicians at this practice are competent within their respective areas of expertise, and I would trust them with serious health concerns. However, if there were recognition for exceptional practice, this particular clinician would be my choice for outstanding dedication to their role.

Reception mix-up left me without appointment

I arrived early in the morning for a television appointment and was informed by the receptionist that I could expect to be seen at around mid-morning. However, I did not receive the appointment as indicated. When I followed up later in the day, I was told that no appointment had actually been recorded in the system. With a bank holiday weekend approaching and my medication running low, this has created a difficult situation. I intend to lodge a formal complaint about this service failure.

This has been the finest GP practice I have encountered, with all team members demonstrating professionalism and genuine compassion. The clinical staff provide outstanding care that consistently exceeds expectations. I am deeply appreciative of the exceptional service received.

Quick phone callbacks and friendly staff throughout

My spouse and I have recently registered with this practice and are delighted with the care we have received. We have both undergone thorough health assessments and relevant investigations. All members of the team we have encountered, including clinical staff and administrative personnel, have demonstrated courtesy, helpfulness, friendliness and professionalism. We have received timely callbacks when we have requested them and experience minimal waiting times when contacting the practice by telephone. The practice appears to be very well organised and we are very satisfied with our experience.

Long waits and unhelpful referrals wasted my time

I was referred to a service that turned out not to be the right fit for my needs. After a lengthy wait, I was informed that the service couldn't provide the support I required. This resulted in a significant delay in addressing my concerns and was frustrating given the time and effort involved.

Fantastic experience with the clinical team here. The doctors were absolutely brilliant and among the friendliest I've encountered, putting me completely at ease throughout. The support staff member was equally friendly, professional and accommodating. I was particularly impressed with how efficiently the minor surgical procedure was arranged, with appointments scheduled promptly over consecutive weeks rather than facing lengthy waiting lists as I've experienced elsewhere. The whole team made the process smooth and stress-free. Great work all round. It's a shame more practices aren't run with this level of care and attentiveness.

I have been very satisfied with the care I have received from this practice since becoming a patient approximately three years ago. I take a regular medication, and while I experienced dosing difficulties at previous surgeries over an extended period, this practice resolved the issue promptly following my initial blood test with them. The telephone system functions well and the doctor callbacks are dependable and reassuring. The clinical staff are competent and the medical practitioners are excellent. This practice is invaluable and represents a genuine asset during challenging times.

Emergency line receptionist was genuinely helpful and kind

Not my usual practice but incredibly helpful and genuinely excellent. I've been struggling to secure an appointment at my own practice, and I unfortunately missed a callback I'd been waiting quite a while for following a lengthy wait to reach someone initially. Realising they were unlikely to contact me again, I decided to use the emergency contact number my practice had provided. I wasn't facing a genuine emergency, so I half-expected to be reprimanded, but the receptionist who answered was remarkably supportive and kind. I was connected with an available clinician without delay. After explaining my situation and apologising for the inconvenience, I found them to be very understanding and attentive to my concerns. They assured me they would forward details of what I'd discussed to my usual practice and anticipated they would follow up with me. What I really needed was the opportunity to speak with a healthcare professional to address my worries before the situation potentially deteriorated. Sometimes a preventative conversation or general health discussion is all that's required. I'm very grateful for the care and attention I received.

Called the surgery this morning during the designated callback window and received a prompt response from a clinician shortly after. My concerns were addressed with attentiveness and efficiency. I believe this practice provides an excellent service. Well done to the team. 😊

Felt listened to and given proper time

This practice goes above and beyond, with all staff members being exceptionally caring and supportive. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for anyone here. The clinical team takes as much time as needed during appointments and never makes you feel rushed, even if you require a longer consultation. I have no complaints at all and feel confident and secure in their care.

Walk-in system means seeing someone same day

Excellent practice where all clinical and administrative staff demonstrate genuine care and compassion. The facility is among the few that operates a walk-in appointment system, which is wonderful. You're able to be seen by a healthcare professional on the same day you're unwell, though you may need to wait in reception until called through. Hoping this service continues as it is.
