Patient feedback reveals a deeply divided experience at this medical practice, with significant challenges around appointment access and reception experience contrasting sharply with positive feedback about clinical care. Securing appointments emerges as the most consistent concern, with patients reporting unresponsive phone lines, extremely limited availability, and lengthy waiting periods that can exceed a month. Many describe frustrating booking processes where slots fill within minutes of opening, forcing repeated daily calls or early morning queuing. Reception experience is similarly polarized, with some patients praising courteous and accommodating staff, while others report dismissive, disrespectful, or unhelpful interactions that discourage them from seeking care.
Where clinical care is discussed, patients consistently commend the medical professionals for their expertise, compassion, and attentiveness. Several reviews highlight physicians who listen carefully, demonstrate genuine understanding of patient concerns, and provide thorough, unhurried consultations. This contrast between clinical quality and access barriers suggests the practice struggles with operational capacity and communication systems rather than clinical competence. Patients express particular frustration with phone accessibility, the automated booking platform, and reception staff who sometimes interrogate patients about medical details or appear unwilling to assist.
The mixed tone reflects a practice where those who successfully navigate the appointment system often receive good care, but the barriers to access are substantial enough to drive some patients to seek alternative providers. Improvements to phone responsiveness, appointment availability, and reception training appear critical to addressing the most frequent complaints.

Poor!
Frustrated by Doctor's Disbelief with My COPD
I was made to feel like a fraud by the physician, despite living with COPD for an extended period. The doctor claimed I didn't have the condition and doubted my medical history, resulting in blood tests being ordered in late 2022. I'm still waiting for results, especially since the doctor who initiated the tests has since departed. Initially, the medical practice seemed promising, but it has progressively declined in quality. Securing an appointment is incredibly challenging, and even making a simple inquiry is nearly impossible. It's truly disappointing how the standard of care has deteriorated.

Felt Judged and Uncomfortable During My Visit
They've typically been fine with me, but during my recent visit, I felt uncomfortable and discouraged from seeking assistance. When I attempted to ask for help, I was left feeling deeply distressed. The experience was so unpleasant that I'm now hesitant to return, especially given my multiple medical conditions.

Impossible to Get Help at This Clinic
Absolutely revolting operation with equally repulsive personnel. When you attempt to call at 8:30 in the morning for an appointment, you're met with a queue of 30 people, and even then, no slots are accessible. As someone battling a traumatic brain injury and diabetes, I've received zero support. My diabetes management is deteriorating, and I desperately require a podiatry referral, but I'm forced to wait a month just to see a doctor first. The physicians are completely indifferent, and the entire healthcare facility is nothing more than a complete mockery.

Impossible to Book After Family Emergency
Zero stars would be too generous for this awful service. I've been desperately attempting to schedule an appointment for my mother who's battling both heart attack and cancer, but they show absolutely no compassion or willingness to assist. Every time I try to book a consultation for a family member, it's an impossible task. The situation is completely absurd. While the doctors seem competent, the reception staff is terrible - with the sole exception of one kind woman I can barely remember, who has striking blue eyes and blonde hair.

Maxine saved the day with my prescription
Scheduling appointments can occasionally be challenging, though that's not a reflection on the reception staff. The entire team is incredibly kind and consistently makes every effort to assist. In particular, one staff member, Maxine, truly excelled by quickly resolving my urgent need for a baby milk prescription. When I was feeling stressed, Maxine stepped in and had everything sorted in just 20 minutes, which was an immense relief 😊👍

Endless Waiting for a Simple Clinic Appointment
Calling this clinic is an absolute nightmare. Every time I try to schedule an appointment, I'm stuck on the phone for hours, only to be told that no slots are available today and I need to call back tomorrow. When I do call back the next day, I encounter the exact same frustrating scenario, making the entire experience incredibly exhausting and futile.

Phone Service Is Impossibly Frustrating
This establishment is utterly unresponsive, requiring countless repeated calls before any chance of contact, and even then, you're likely to encounter a pre-recorded message announcing the clinic is now shut. Their communication is abysmal and completely frustrating. Absolutely unacceptable service standards that desperately need significant improvement!!

Impossible to Get an Appointment Here
A truly abysmal medical practice in Liverpool - securing an appointment is practically impossible. I've attached a picture and still haven't managed to schedule a consultation, which is incredibly frustrating.

Wasted My Morning Trying to Book a Doctor
Been dialing nonstop from 8 to 9am, making over 100 attempts. Managed to connect twice, but each time the call dropped instantly, forcing me to redial repeatedly. When I finally got through, I explained I'd been trying all morning and was disconnected twice. The staff member responded in a completely emotionless tone, simply stating all appointments were gone and telling me to call back tomorrow before hanging up. Their attitude was incredibly dismissive and uncaring. It's impossible to schedule an appointment, and even when you do get seen, the doctors rush you through. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. The service is completely unacceptable.

A Caring GP Visit on a Quiet Day
I recently visited this medical facility for an appointment, having been a patient here since childhood. While past visits have sometimes been inconsistent, yesterday was exceptional. As someone in a high-risk category, I deeply appreciate their continued COVID-19 precautions. Though I saw a new general practitioner, Dr. Kenyon was incredibly compassionate and attentive. He thoroughly reviewed my medical history, listened carefully to my concerns, and promptly addressed my health needs. I felt genuinely heard and received the treatment I was seeking. Massive thanks to LLMC and Dr. Kenyon for an outstanding healthcare experience :)

Friendly staff at Long Lane Medical Centre
I'm puzzled by the criticisms directed at the receptionist at Long Lane Medical Centre, as throughout my entire time as a patient, I've consistently experienced exceptional treatment. They've always been courteous, accommodating, and the staff is truly delightful.

Long Wait and No Appointments Anywhere
Impossible to reach them by phone, even after attempting multiple calls. When I finally get through, there are no available appointments, and they just redirect me to a walk-in center located far away. Absolutely terrible customer service.

Compassionate Support During Tough Dementia Journey
Called LLMC earlier today. Their staff were incredibly supportive and compassionate. Throughout the six years my husband has been living with dementia, I've found their service consistently excellent. These situations are challenging for everyone involved, so it's important to approach things with kindness. Based on my personal experience, I'm truly grateful for their help x

Heart Condition, 79 Calls, Zero Help
Attempting to secure a medical appointment here is utterly futile, with zero empathy shown for patients' circumstances. After being discharged from hospital at 30 with a critical heart condition and instructed to contact my GP urgently, I encountered nothing but indifference. My initial call was met with a dismissive 4-week wait, despite explaining my serious medical situation. They suggested calling at 8:30am for faster scheduling. Following their advice, I embarked on an absurd ordeal - 79 phone attempts between 8:30 and 8:33am, with no one answering. When someone finally picked up, all appointments were inexplicably gone. They offered a phone consultation, which is completely useless given I have physical hospital documents that need direct handover to my GP - a doctor I barely know, having last seen him when I was 15. I was repeatedly told they manage 8,500 patients, but this shouldn't excuse their systemic lack of responsiveness. Not every medical situation is identical, and their failure to answer phones directly contradicts their supposed professional standards. I'm changing practices not because of scheduling difficulties, but because of their profound lack of human compassion during an incredibly stressful period. I felt reduced to an anonymous statistic in a profession fundamentally meant to provide care and support.
