Feedback reflects a mixed experience with significant variation in patient satisfaction. Clinical care is consistently praised, with patients describing clinicians as thorough, compassionate, and attentive. However, reception experience emerges as a major concern, with recurring reports of staff discourtesy, dismissiveness, and poor communication. Appointment availability presents a substantial challenge, with patients reporting lengthy waits, limited slots, and difficulty reaching the practice by phone, particularly during peak times. Administrative processes including prescription management, registration, and appointment confirmation have been problematic for some patients, though others report efficient service delivery. The practice environment and facilities are generally well-regarded.
Positive experiences highlight supportive nursing staff, welcoming atmospheres, and responsive clinical care. Conversely, negative feedback centres on reception interactions, appointment access constraints, and inconsistent service standards. Some patients note improvements to facilities, while others express frustration with resource allocation and service continuity. The disparity between clinical quality and administrative experience represents a key theme across the feedback.

Receptionists made us feel genuinely welcome
I'm really pleased we selected this practice, having been registered for over two years now. The reception team has consistently been helpful and friendly throughout my time here. The clinical staff provide thorough and attentive care. I'm very grateful for the service provided.

Helpful staff who listened and reassured me
I'm really glad I switched to this surgery. I had arranged a telephone appointment but the clinician kindly offered me an in-person visit on the same day instead. They listened attentively, provided clear explanations about my condition and gave me reassurance about my concerns. A wonderful practice with caring staff. 5 stars.

Reception staff made booking difficult and unhelpful
The clinical staff are satisfactory, however the front desk team fell short of expectations. I found their manner to be unwelcoming, their approach appeared disengaged, and their competence seemed questionable. Phone calls often went unanswered, and when they did respond, the interactions lacked professionalism and clarity. The administrative systems appeared outdated and poorly organised. The practice's overall standing appears to be significantly affected by the front desk experience, and meaningful improvement seems unlikely without substantial changes to this area.

Reception made booking an appointment difficult
Disappointing experience - the service has been inconsistent and falls short of expectations. The primary concern relates to the reception area. Attempting to book an appointment took considerable time, and the interaction was handled in a manner that felt dismissive and lacking in empathy. The staff involved appeared disengaged and did not demonstrate attentive listening skills.

Great!
Reception staff were helpful and polite
I have been registered at this practice for almost two years now and have had a mix of experiences—some good, some not so great. The reception staff are helpful and polite. One clinician in particular is a great asset to the practice. They are empathetic, professional, and always take the time to discuss treatment options thoroughly while maintaining a high standard of care.

Phone calls go unanswered for medication requests
Extremely disappointing experience. I would not suggest this practice to others. I felt that my overall health concerns were not prioritised. I have been attempting to obtain my prescription for more than a week, but there appeared to be significant difficulties with inter-departmental communication and responsiveness. I am currently awaiting authorisation, which seems to be taking longer than expected. Based on my experience, I would caution others with similar health concerns about registering here, as I did not feel adequately supported throughout this process.

Long phone queues make appointments impossible
This has been the poorest medical facility I've experienced across multiple relocations. Securing an appointment for my child takes several days, with staff repeatedly indicating availability is limited and suggesting I contact them the following day. Additionally, there are consistently lengthy queues with numerous people waiting, resulting in significant hold times before speaking with someone. I find this situation frustrating and feel the service falls short of acceptable standards. It seems disappointing that public funding is not translating into better accessibility.

Reception kept shifting appointment times around
This has been the most disappointing experience I have had at a medical practice. My child presented with a high temperature and swollen tonsils, so I contacted the surgery early in the morning to request an urgent appointment. Following an initial wait, the receptionist instructed me to call back at a later time, at which point they would arrange a face-to-face consultation. When I called back as directed, I was asked to wait again. Subsequently, I was informed that there were no available appointments. I expressed frustration about the inconsistency in the process, as I had been told to call back at a specific time only to be told the practice was fully booked. When I questioned why an appointment had not been offered during my first call, the response suggested a lack of clarity about what had been communicated. This experience felt frustrating and poorly coordinated.

Quick emergency appointment and prescription sorted
I recently had an urgent telephone consultation followed by an in-person visit at the surgery. The appointment was arranged promptly, and I received a thorough examination. The entire process, from arrival to collecting my medication from the pharmacy and returning home, was completed efficiently within about an hour. I was very appreciative of the attentive service provided by both the reception team and the clinical staff throughout my visit.

Repeated cancellations left us without proper care
I was given an appointment on multiple occasions, but each time it was cancelled. When I raised concerns, I was told this wasn't an issue. I then needed help sorting out my medications, but was informed that someone would call me back, which didn't happen. I was subsequently told it was too late to assist. My husband required an urgent appointment and felt he was given the runaround throughout the process. When he eventually saw someone, he was referred to hospital where serious health concerns were identified. Upon returning to the practice, the clinician questioned why there had been such a delay, noting that the cancellations should not have occurred and expressing concern about the situation. My husband's condition has significantly impacted his quality of life and mobility. I'm extremely distressed about what has happened and struggling to understand how the situation was handled. I'm disappointed by how patients were spoken to and frustrated that appointments were offered on days when the practice is closed.

Receptionist interrupted me, Saturday appointment chaos
The receptionist's manner felt unprofessional during my interaction. When I attempted to speak with them, I was interrupted mid-conversation. Their demeanor seemed inconsistent, which I felt may have been influenced by their mood at the time. I requested an appointment to see a clinician and was offered a Saturday slot due to the urgent nature of my concern. I arrived punctually, approximately 15 minutes ahead of my scheduled time, which I considered sufficient notice. However, upon arrival, I found the facility was not open. I questioned why a Saturday appointment had been provided if the centre was closed. It became apparent that several other patients, approximately six additional people, had also been given appointments for the same time and had similarly arrived to find the doors locked. We waited outside until around 9.50 when a staff member arrived, unlocked the building, and then departed without further explanation. Clinical staff arrived shortly afterwards. One clinician called out several names but none of the waiting patients responded, and they subsequently left. Another clinician then called additional names, and one patient was present and was seen. I documented the situation with photographs as I felt this was necessary. There appeared to be no reception staff present throughout this period. The delay meant I was eventually seen by a clinician at 10.12. This clinician was considerate and attentive, which contrasted with some of my previous experiences at this medical centre. Overall, the morning was frustrating and I have concerns about whether this is a recurring issue on Saturday appointments.

Helpful reception staff despite busy phone lines
I have to say the reception team are very caring and supportive. I understand there is often a queue when calling, but it does move along fairly quickly. You do need to ring from the start of the day to have a realistic chance of getting an appointment, though all the clinicians seem equally good. There simply aren't enough appointment slots for the number of patients. I would just ask that everyone be patient and kind when speaking to the phone staff.

Poor!
Caught between reception and prescription with no answers
I have experienced ongoing difficulties with my medication management due to long-term pain conditions. When I requested medication, I was informed that a review would be necessary before it could be provided. Following the review appointment, I was advised that I would need to be assessed by a specialist pain team. After making multiple attempts to arrange an appointment with the hospital service, I eventually secured a booking. During this waiting period, my regular pain relief medication has not been issued. When I sought clarification about this, I was told that a clinical review was required, despite having already undergone one previously that had resulted in the specialist referral. I expressed concern about running out of medication, but found myself being directed back and forth between reception and dispensary staff without reaching a resolution. While the staff were courteous, they were unable to help as the matter required clinical authorisation. This is not an isolated incident, and I am aware that other long-term patients have experienced similar issues. The process feels repetitive and frustrating, with the same obstacles arising repeatedly. I recognise that the NHS is under considerable pressure, though this does not resolve the situation I am facing. I am experiencing significant distress as a result of the medication gap, which has prompted me to share this detailed account of my experience.

Visited the practice today to assist a family member with obtaining medical guidance and documentation. Receptionists turn impatient after initial friendliness
After phoning to reach someone, the reception staff initially seem pleasant, but this friendliness appears to fade within about half a minute, replaced by what felt like impatience and discourtesy. It raises questions about whether they would appreciate their own unwell relatives being treated with similar communication. My repeat prescriptions have consistently been set up incorrectly, requiring me to contact the practice each month despite them being designated as automatic refills. Despite these calls, the issue remains unresolved. Additionally, I have not had continuity with the same clinician across my visits. During an in-person appointment, the practice environment was well-maintained and the clinical staff member was welcoming. The main areas of concern at this practice relate to the reception team's approach and the overall standard of patient communication.
