These general practitioners are absolutely terrible. Their communication is non-existent - calls go unanswered, and when they do pick up, they're incredibly dismissive and hurried. I tried reaching out through 111 seeking an urgent appointment, and all I received was a promised phone consultation that never materialized. This practice is so incompetent that they frankly deserve to be completely shut down.

Right off the bat, certain front desk staff display a lack of professionalism. Moreover, despite enduring lengthy wait times to secure an appointment, they consistently claim no availability even when calling precisely at their opening hour. Additionally, they occasionally schedule phone consultations, but physicians routinely fail to make the promised call. Lastly, regarding prescription management, patients are perpetually forced to linger at the pharmacy and repeatedly contact the general practitioner, desperately pursuing their medication because the practice never promptly sends the necessary documents. Absolutely frustrating and completely unacceptable!

The service here is abysmal, primarily due to poorly trained receptionists who display shocking incompetence and disrespect, particularly towards older patients - as if they were insignificant nuisances. Steer clear of this place entirely. Still utterly unchanged (edit: Nov 2023) - prescription charges are consistently miscalculated - incoming calls go perpetually unanswered, and staff routinely hang up mid-conversation with their utterly useless front desk personnel - many of whom struggle with basic communication - I'm relocating soon, and anywhere has to be an improvement over this disaster??

I was redirected to this medical facility when my regular physician's practice unexpectedly shut down. Their communication is absolutely terrible - I've been stuck on hold for more than half an hour as the first caller in the queue. As an educator attempting to reach them during brief breaks between classes and professional duties, I find it completely unacceptable that making contact seems virtually impossible.

I now want to clarify that while there are ongoing issues with capacity and referral wait times, these are systemic NHS problems rather than specific to this surgery. The reception staff have been incredibly supportive in managing my frequently changing and complex prescriptions, proactively ensuring I receive my medications promptly. I truly value their attentiveness, and the overall communication has significantly improved. My experience suggests the doctors are less experienced in mental health care, appearing hesitant to provide medication advice or make recommendations. They tend to defer decisions to other teams with extensive waiting lists, or expect patients to make complex medical choices with minimal guidance - a challenging task, especially during difficult mental health periods. Candidly, I did not find the mental health support worker particularly helpful, though I acknowledge their effort and time. As the NHS currently seems limited in support options beyond medication, I have self-referred to the local Mind BLMK charity, who have been responsive and offered valuable peer support services.

Unprofessional staff with discriminatory and dismissive attitude

On September 27th, 2023, I attempted to schedule an appointment and was met with complete unavailability. The receptionist repeatedly stated no services were accessible, instructing me to call back the next day. Oddly, after asking my name, she again confirmed no availability. When I questioned whether my name impacted my booking chances, she became confrontational, accusing me of being difficult and rude - which I was not initially. I sensed underlying issues, potentially related to an existing negative review I've posted that mentions both my name and her name. This experience was deeply unsatisfactory. In November 2022, receptionist Maryam Begum displayed shocking unprofessionalism by suggesting my mother should seek healthcare checks elsewhere if she was genuinely concerned about her health. This was particularly egregious given my mother's critically high blood sugar levels, which were confirmed through positive test results. The receptionist's dismissive attitude towards a serious medical condition was appalling. I absolutely cannot recommend this practice to anyone seeking competent medical care.

Worst medical service ever terrible communication

I'd rate this experience a complete zero if possible, purely due to their accusation of dishonesty. I was scheduled for a medication review and patiently waited three full hours for their call, which never came. I have phone records that definitively prove no call was received, yet the pharmacist audaciously claimed he called and I didn't answer - a blatant fabrication! He never dialed my number and then deliberately falsified my medical documentation. I'm absolutely furious. The fact that the medical practice is now hiding behind an "out of hours" excuse and refusing to provide any explanation is utterly absurd and unacceptable. This level of fraudulent record-keeping is completely unprofessional and deeply concerning.

The medical personnel consistently demonstrate professionalism and a willingness to assist. The physicians efficiently coordinated the necessary diagnostic procedures for us. Appointments can be scheduled on the same day starting at 8am, though the phone lines tend to be quite congested. While it can be challenging to connect sometimes, the front desk staff always make a concerted effort to provide support. The doctors are truly exceptional, and they are accommodating by communicating in Hindi/Urdu when we require it, as English is not our primary language.
