Patient felt supported through system changes

I recognise that recent system changes have created challenges for those less comfortable with digital services, particularly among older family members. Your patience and willingness to provide in-person assistance has been genuinely appreciated, and nothing seems to be too much trouble for any of you. Impossible to get an appointment by phone

Disappointing experience trying to secure an appointment, as advance booking of several weeks appears necessary. The reception team seem to take considerable time responding to telephone calls, making it faster to visit the practice in person.

Receptionists dismissive when booking appointments elsewhere

I'm frustrated by what feels like a disregard for patient preferences at this practice. When I indicated travel limitations, I was still scheduled at a distant location with an unfamiliar clinician, which wasn't what I needed. If I'd wanted to see someone else, I would have registered elsewhere. The reception staff often come across as dismissive and unhelpful. Most of my interactions here leave me feeling unheard and unvalued.

Excellent medical practice with genuinely supportive front desk personnel. My elderly mother has been registered as a patient for many years and consistently receives outstanding care and attention. The reception team consistently goes the extra mile to assist patients - this is a truly commendable healthcare facility.

Terrible

Bad practice reception thing they have a degree. Doctors can not follow anima request. No wonder the nhs is in crisis when you have bad practices like this. Book your appointment in advance as you wait months shame there is only 1 decent dr.

Online booking system became frustratingly complicated

The surgery previously offered an online booking system where patients could select their preferred appointment time and healthcare provider from available slots, which worked well. They have since introduced a new system designed to manage appointment capacity more efficiently, and this appears to be achieving that goal. I attempted to use it today but found the process frustrating, with what felt like excessive questioning, so I abandoned the attempt and will call to book instead. The overall experience at the practice has declined noticeably since the departure of a key staff member.

Rushed appointments left me needing hospital care

Many of the clinicians at this practice appear dismissive of patient concerns, do not thoroughly review medical histories, and seem primarily focused on keeping appointments brief. The recently implemented system appears to facilitate this approach further, making it more difficult for patients to obtain the care they require. Following an appointment where concerns were not adequately addressed and a two-week wait was suggested, the patient was subsequently admitted to hospital for specialist cardiac assessment.

Receptionists answered immediately without any wait

What a breath of fresh air this surgery is! I've been with another practice all my life and through no fault of my own I was taken off their patients list. The receptionists at this practice have been so kind and so helpful from the word go. I called at 8am as instructed the day before and got straight through without having to wait on hold. Within a few minutes, a clinician had called me back. They were absolutely lovely, listened carefully while I explained everything, and I'm picking up my prescription this afternoon. I cannot believe how straightforward the whole process has been. It's made such a difference compared to my previous experience. I only wish I'd made this change sooner. With my old practice, I feel I'd still be waiting on the phone now, hours later. Thank you.

Reception team showed genuine care and compassion

I just need to say I have been quite demanding of this surgery over the last few weeks, as it is also my parents' practice. Throughout this time, I have received nothing but genuine care and compassion, with every concern being addressed promptly. The staff members I have spoken with have been incredibly patient and supportive, helping to resolve all of our needs while demonstrating real kindness and understanding. While I have interacted with several team members, I apologize that I cannot recall all of their names. Having worked within the NHS myself for many years, I can confidently say that the level of service provided by this practice has been exceptional. I am truly grateful to all of the clinical and administrative staff here, who have consistently gone above and beyond in their support. Thank you so much x
