Feedback reveals significant and persistent challenges with appointment access, phone responsiveness, and reception experience at this practice. Patients consistently report difficulty securing consultations, with extended waiting periods ranging from weeks to months, phone lines frequently unanswered or engaged, and appointment slots becoming unavailable within minutes of opening. Communication about service changes, including location redirects and booking system modifications, has been inadequate, leaving patients confused and frustrated. Reception experience emerges as a critical concern, with multiple accounts of discourteous interactions, dismissive attitudes, and staff appearing overwhelmed or unwilling to assist patients effectively.
While a small number of reviews acknowledge courteous reception staff and professional nursing care, these positive experiences are substantially outweighed by negative feedback. Patients describe feeling unheard during consultations, receiving inadequate explanations for unavailability, and encountering barriers to accessing care. Several reviews reference the practice being placed in special measures, reflecting systemic organisational issues. The combination of poor appointment availability, unresponsive phone systems, and inconsistent reception courtesy has led many patients to seek alternative healthcare providers.
A minority of reviews highlight welcoming environments and helpful staff assistance, suggesting some positive interactions occur. However, the overwhelming pattern indicates the practice requires urgent attention to booking systems, staffing capacity, communication protocols, and staff training to meet patient expectations and service standards.

Bad!
Rude staff ruined my whole visit
Customer service was incredibly unhelpful, with zero guidance or assistance. Absolutely the most disappointing interaction I've ever encountered. I strongly recommend avoiding this place entirely.

Bad!
Frustrating surgery with zero follow-up care
Terrible surgical experience where my partner continues to suffer from an unresolved medical problem due to the clinic's chronic unavailability and apparent disregard for patient care. After reading numerous other reviews, it's clear this isn't an isolated incident, but a systemic issue with this medical facility.

Frustrating phone booking nightmare
Completely ineffective service. I was initially informed I could schedule an appointment by phone ahead of time, but when I called, they claimed no record existed under my name. Either their staff are incompetent or they demonstrate a total lack of concern about customer experience.

Rude receptionists ignore elderly patients
This establishment is truly dreadful, with elderly patients left standing idle while staff engage in idle chatter. The receptionists' behavior towards vulnerable individuals is unacceptable, and their dishonesty is blatant. Every single receptionist demonstrates rudeness, constantly interrupting appointment bookings and casually discussing their beverages while an elderly patient is trying to discuss their medical needs. Their lack of professionalism is shocking - they seem completely incompetent, providing conflicting information to different patients. By 10 am, all appointment slots are invariably filled, leaving patients frustrated and neglected.

Bad!
Endless queues and zero help from staff
This establishment is beyond terrible. Attempt to schedule an appointment, endure a lengthy phone queue for an hour or more, only to be told no slots are available and to call back at 8am the next day, repeating the frustrating cycle. When you finally secure an appointment, the doctor fails to contact you, and upon trying to inquire why, you're stuck in another phone queue, only to be informed that you never had an appointment in the first place! The reception staff appear completely incompetent, and the doctors are equally disappointing. They prescribe inappropriate medication to asthma patients, and if their initial treatment approach doesn't work, they seem disinterested in exploring alternative solutions, essentially hoping the medical issue will resolve itself. This medical practice is an absolute farce, and it's utterly baffling how they continue to operate.

Nurse Emma made my blood test easy
I had blood drawn by nurse Emma Louise Cooper, who demonstrated exceptional professionalism. Her demeanor was courteous and considerate, and she performed her duties with remarkable skill. This healthcare professional is truly a valuable member of your medical team, representing a significant enhancement to the practice. David Nutting

Quick wait but caring team at parker drive
I'm compelled to express how remarkable this medical experience has been. When I rang up to schedule an appointment for my partner, there was a brief 15-minute wait to connect, but once I got through, the staff's professionalism was outstanding. This was our first in-person consultation since COVID began, and I was genuinely impressed. The entire team at Parker Drive was incredibly kind and welcoming. I sincerely hope they maintain this excellent standard of care moving forward.

Terrible healthcare with zero compassion
The most terrible general practice medical center I've encountered - it's genuinely appalling.

Dangerous prescription for my baby
These supposed medical professionals are even less competent than their predecessors. I brought my infant son's prescription to Boots pharmacy, and they informed me that the dosage was dangerously excessive for a child his age. It's unbelievable how they could make such a critical error.

Terrible phone service and unhelpful staff
Absolute disaster! Scheduling an appointment with them is completely futile. Their front desk personnel are incredibly discourteous. I'm taking my business elsewhere and won't be returning..:(

Long wait and frustrated at Parker Drive
I've been stuck waiting in line for more than 60 minutes, attempting to schedule a consultation with the nurse practitioner. When I first joined the queue, I was fourth in line. Given the current high unemployment rates, you'd expect they would hire additional staff to manage phone calls, or at the very least assess ways to enhance their customer service. Parker Drive medical Centre is undoubtedly the most inefficient and frustrating healthcare facility I've ever encountered.

Frustrating wait for doctor at surgery
I've endured a terrible experience at this medical facility, waiting for over 7.50 hours outside the door just to be told my appointment is finished and I should return tomorrow. Every single day, I attempt to schedule an appointment, but the phone keeps ringing with no one answering. I urgently implore them to improve their service, as many patients with serious health conditions are unable to see doctors or even successfully book an appointment.

Terrible care for my premature baby
For two years, this medical practice has been completely useless to us. We have a premature baby, and they've shown zero concern for our child's well-being. If anything happens to my baby, it will be entirely their fault. I absolutely cannot recommend this place 😡. Every single time we call, they never answer, and when we visit in person, they claim to be busy - which is clearly a lie since the office is always empty. The staff are incredibly rude and unprofessional, dismissing patients and directing everyone to call 111. Horrible 👎. I have children suffering from leg, ear, and back pain, and even though their school recommends medical attention, the GP refuses to help. The staff and doctors are completely indifferent to patient problems, always responding with "it's normal" or "it'll get better soon". If you somehow manage to get an appointment here, consider yourself lucky if they even acknowledge your concerns.

Phone calls never work here
This medical practice used to be absolutely terrible, showing complete disregard for patient care. Since their staff turnover, things haven't improved. For weeks, I've been attempting to contact them by phone, and each time I'm met with disconnected calls. I was forced to go through the 111 service just to send a note from an assessor, explaining my urgent need for medical attention. Despite repeated attempts to reach them, I've been unsuccessful. Their service is appallingly inadequate. They nearly caused my mother's death from pneumonia by refusing to see her. I myself was hospitalized recently and currently require a GP, yet they seem indifferent to patient suffering. Their level of negligence is so extreme that they might as well shut down entirely.

Long wait times and cranky staff
I had high hopes that things would improve with the new leadership, but I was mistaken. The situation has actually deteriorated. Wait times have become even more extended, and the staff's demeanor has grown increasingly discourteous.

Terrible gp service in jan 22 special measures
This medical facility mirrors Manor Medical Centre, operated by utterly terrible staff (which is an insult to terrible people) who show zero interest in patient wellbeing and systematically avoid engaging with those who fund their services - the taxpayers. Both establishments desperately need immediate closure and replacement with management that genuinely comprehends primary healthcare principles. Examine the consistent negative feedback across both locations, where identical complaints repeatedly surface. What exactly is Leicester Primary Care Trust (how ironic their use of the word "trust") doing? Shouldn't they be actively monitoring and addressing substandard GP practices, or are they simply congratulating themselves? As of January 2022, this surgery has been placed in special measures after the Care Quality Commission officially assessed and effectively declared them incompetent.

Bad!
Confusing surgery with long wait times
Total confusion with the name change from Parker Drive Surgery to Manor Park. Patients are left bewildered when trying to figure out their appointment location, especially since it's actually at a nearby sister site close to Thurmaston with a practically identical name. The appointment scheduling is even more of a headache. Expect a minimum three-week wait. My top recommendations: first, verify you're at the correct surgery location, and second, book your appointment at least a month in advance to ensure you'll actually get seen.

Frustrating morning call with zero help
I rang them precisely at 8:00 am, yet no response. They're incredibly swamped. Visiting in person is utterly futile, as no one seems willing to assist. I've been waiting over a year for my documentation, and they're still "checking" it. Does anyone even give a damn anymore?

Impossible to get an appointment here
Getting a medical appointment here is practically impossible, even if you're on your deathbed. Utterly ineffective and a complete drain on public funds. When you call at 8am as instructed, they simply tell you to call back because they have no available slots and are overwhelmed. Total nonsense - they just sit around doing nothing. This facility should either be shut down or staffed with genuine healthcare professionals who actually care about patient welfare, instead of just being focused on financial gain.
