Feedback reveals a practice with significant operational challenges that substantially impact patient experience. Appointment access remains the most persistent concern, with patients reporting extreme difficulty securing consultations through both phone and online systems, extended waiting times on hold, and booking system failures that prevent advance scheduling. Reception experience is notably inconsistent, with multiple reports of discourteous and dismissive staff behaviour contrasting sharply with occasional praise for supportive team members. Communication gaps are evident throughout the patient journey, from unclear appointment confirmations to lack of responsiveness regarding patient concerns.
Medical care quality shows considerable variation. While several patients commend individual doctors for attentive, compassionate consultations and clear explanations, others report rushed appointments, inconsistent competence, and dismissive attitudes toward patient concerns. Vaccination services and specific clinical procedures have been delivered efficiently in some cases. Positive themes include professional medical expertise, supportive reception staff, and effective clinical care when accessed, though these strengths are frequently undermined by systemic organisational dysfunction.
The practice faces fundamental structural issues affecting service delivery. Patients describe prolonged phone queues, inadequate staffing relative to demand, pharmacy delays, and poor coordination between departments. While individual staff members occasionally demonstrate genuine care and professionalism, the overall framework appears inefficient, creating barriers to timely care and leaving patients frustrated with their ability to access healthcare when needed.

Clear answers and quick booking
Dr Coulson impressed me with her attentive approach, providing a lucid breakdown of her diagnostic perspective. She exudes professionalism, and her explanations are so engaging that I could happily listen to her insights for hours. The scheduling process was remarkably swift and efficient, delivering an outstanding experience from beginning to end. That said, the telephone booking system is a definite pain point and should be steered clear of if possible. I recommend utilizing the NHS app, which appears to offer a more straightforward method for securing that crucial first consultation.

Receptionists ignored husband's urgent medical crisis
Utterly repulsive, indifferent receptionists; on Friday morning my husband urgently needed medical attention while we were in the surgery's car park, I rushed inside and desperately implored THREE receptionists to get a doctor to help my husband who was barely responsive, burning with fever and repeatedly vomiting, they coldly asked "do you have an appointment?" !!! I begged them to have someone examine him, they displayed total apathy and callousness, refusing because he lacked an appointment and it would "disrupt other patients" SORRY for interrupting you with an EMERGENCY?! I exhausted every possible way to communicate the critical nature of his condition - they made zero effort to call an ambulance or even inquire about his state. When I did summon an ambulance, I was informed he was at high risk of cardiac arrest, yet I knew attempting to access the defibrillator at the GP surgery would be futile. My husband was hospitalized for 3 days with a critical infection and was perilously close to becoming septic. I would never entrust my or my family's life to these 3 heartless receptionists. Individuals without a shred of compassion or willingness to assist those in desperate need should NOT work in healthcare. I shared the incident with every healthcare professional at the hospital, who were equally appalled by the complete absence of professional care, reminding me that medical practices have a fundamental duty to assist patients in urgent situations. I'm preparing a comprehensive formal complaint with specific names. Next time, just do your job and potentially save a life, if you can muster the basic human decency.

Missed call, endless runaround, still in pain
I was scheduled for a phone consultation with a physician from this clinic, referred by my primary care provider due to their high patient volume. Because of my work commitments and no specified call time, I momentarily stepped away from my phone and missed Dr. Chandio's call, which resulted in a voicemail requesting a callback but without providing a contact number. I attempted to return the call using the originating number for Manor Park Surgery, only to be informed that locating or communicating with the doctor was unfeasible. My own surgery claimed no responsibility, stating it wasn't their physician. Repeatedly calling Manor Park Surgery, I was consistently told tracing the doctor was impossible, despite the call originating from their direct line. After spending over an hour navigating phone queues, I remain in significant pain, feeling completely abandoned and disregarded by the healthcare system.

Endless hold times and no real help
The reception team is welcoming, but the overall service falls far short of expectations and significantly impedes patient care due to the extreme difficulty in securing an actual consultation. Physicians appear to make a single cursory contact and then abruptly terminate patient interaction, which forces patients to repeatedly call back and endure lengthy hold times, only to ultimately be informed that no appointments are available. This practice is completely unacceptable, and I will absolutely be seeking medical services elsewhere at the earliest opportunity.

Saved by the kind phone lady
I'm uncertain about the identity of the woman I spoke with, and scheduling an appointment isn't straightforward, but she was incredibly kind and professional. She was truly an asset to the medical practice and provided valuable guidance regarding my extremely painful ear. Although I ultimately had to visit a walk-in clinic, I want to express my gratitude to whoever assisted me that day.

Impossible to book an appointment
Over the past four days, I've been attempting to schedule an appointment both through their website and by phone at 1 PM and 8 AM. I've spent a cumulative 73 minutes on hold, and each interaction has resulted in being told to simply continue trying. The process of attempting to access this medical facility has been incredibly frustrating and inefficient.

Painful and dismissive physio session with Richard
I would gladly award zero stars to Richard, a physiotherapist at this clinic, for his appalling and abysmal treatment of me. His approach was so callous and inconsiderate that I endured excruciating pain throughout the entire night after being compelled to execute painful movements that directly aggravated my sciatica and pre-existing degenerative spinal condition.

Worst customer service ever
Absolutely absurd. They consistently ignore incoming calls. The employees are discourteous and seem to believe they possess medical expertise.

Supportive doctors at manor park surgery
I've been a patient at Manor Park for my entire life, and scheduling appointments has never been a problem. Their online system is straightforward, allowing easy booking or using econsult for non-urgent issues, with a guaranteed callback within a day or two. While I acknowledge the phone lines can be tricky to navigate, I personally don't call often. I have a long-standing medical concern and prefer consulting with a GP who understands my full history, rather than explaining everything repeatedly to different doctors. Dr Kettlewell has consistently been fantastic and incredibly supportive whenever we've spoken. Recently, I submitted an econsult hoping to consult her, but she was unavailable. Instead, I spoke with Dr Coulson, a new doctor to me, who immediately put me at ease during our phone conversation. Today's in-person appointment confirmed my initial positive impression - she was equally warm and made me feel completely comfortable. I'm reassured knowing I now have two GPs at the surgery with whom I can openly discuss my health concerns. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Dr Kettlewell and Dr Coulson for their understanding and compassionate support during a challenging time, which has significantly helped me feel more confident about my healthcare.

Rude staff made my ptsd worse
Because I am exempt from wearing a mask, you cannot treat me like a threat. I have been made to feel like a child due to my exception, and it is not my fault that I suffer from PTSD triggered by facial coverings. I should not be discriminated against or spoken to in such a demeaning manner. I simply stated my exemption, yet the staff, particularly the unnamed lady, continued to pressure me into wearing a mask. The staff really need to reflect on their communication and approach, especially when dealing with patients who have experienced trauma. Honestly, the service and politeness at this surgery have never been this poor. I believed that working in the medical field meant caring for people with genuine compassion, focusing on ensuring their safety, happiness, and well-being. If you are merely working for the sake of having a job or career, I urge you to reconsider your path and find a role you can perform with genuine empathy rather than bullying vulnerable patients. The stress I have endured here has significantly worsened my mental and physical health, completely undermining the purpose of seeking help.

Frustrating phone wait for ear infection help
I was compelled to file a grievance after spending 45 minutes on a phone call since 1 pm, only to be instructed to reach out again the following day, leaving me without any medical assistance for my ear infection. The Engagement Manager displayed exceptional professionalism and took initiative to address my concerns, subsequently enhancing the appointment process, which I genuinely appreciate. Nevertheless, the practice has been experiencing numerous challenges lately when attempting to resolve any issues, and the overall quality has significantly declined over recent years. Previously, the service was excellent. The practice urgently requires improvements to their appointment scheduling system, which currently appears ineffective and is resulting in treatment delays for many patients.

Waited two hours for no appointment
Been stuck on hold for more than an hour, from 8 am until 9:10 am, only to be informed that no appointments are accessible. This medical practice is absolutely absurd, with no doctors being available. I will definitely be reaching out to surgery partners to file an official complaint - the whole situation is completely ridiculous. It's important to note that the receptionists aren't to blame; the underlying system is fundamentally broken and requires a comprehensive restructuring.

Terrible hours for working patients
Unbelievable. Just how terrible can a medical practice be. The physicians refuse to schedule consultations past 4:30 PM, effectively telling all working professionals that they're out of luck if they need medical attention.
