Staff handled the phone call professionally and efficiently

Many thanks, the professionalism of the staff. My wife phoned after being sent home from work and found the system at its best, from the receptionist arranging a telephone assessment to attending the surgery for an assessment, receiving tests from clinical staff to being referred to the hospital assessment unit, where we also experienced the NHS at its best regardless of all the media coverage. Professional at all levels from making the first phone call to the caring nature of the clinical team through to the staff at the hospital, and this was my wife's first admission to hospital.

Parking chaos makes appointments nearly impossible

The facility itself and the team members are excellent, however it's a practice that presents significant challenges due to insufficient parking availability. I was concerned and disheartened witnessing an older couple struggling in the car park, with one visibly distressed and uncertain about why they couldn't access their appointment. The other explained that patients arriving 10 minutes late would not be seen, and they had exceeded this by 3 minutes, but the first responded that they had arrived early. Yes, the other replied, but we couldn't find anywhere to park or stop to help you out, so we had to wait 12 minutes for a space to open up, and then spent 5 minutes queuing at reception because the automated check-in system wasn't functioning, which made us late. It felt deeply unfair that they were turned away through circumstances beyond their control, yet the reality is there's nowhere suitable to park nearby without a lengthy walk, which for many people including myself is simply not feasible. I've discovered through experience that arriving 30 minutes early is necessary or you simply won't secure a parking space.

Felt genuinely comfortable during blood sample appointment

I am so grateful to be a patient at this fantastic GP practice. The team here is top-notch, and they always go above and beyond to ensure that their patients receive the very best care. I especially want to give a shout-out to the phlebotomist, who takes blood samples with great care and precision. This staff member is an expert at what they do, and their approach to blood-taking is truly remarkable. They are gentle, kind, and always takes the extra time to make sure that patients are comfortable. Not only that, but they have a wealth of knowledge and experience that puts patients at ease, even during the most uncomfortable procedures. But this individual isn't the only standout member of this GP practice. The entire team here is simply amazing. From the moment you walk in the door, you're greeted with a warm smile and made to feel right at home. The clinical staff are caring, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. Surgery wouldn't listen to evidence provided

I had been a patient at this practice for approximately two years and had notified them several days in advance on multiple occasions when I was unable to attend appointments. Despite this, they removed me from their patient list, claiming I had not provided notice. I had witnesses to support my cancellations each time, but the practice refused to consider or review the witness statements I offered. It felt as though I was judged guilty without the practice examining all the available evidence. Additionally, when I raised this matter with a clinician, I felt misled, as they had previously indicated I would not be removed from the list. My advice to others would be to be cautious with this practice, as they appear unwilling to listen to patient concerns or consider supporting documentation if they have already decided to remove someone from their patient list. There seems little opportunity to have such a decision reversed. I would not recommend this as a good choice of practice.
